Liam POV

"You ready Nathan?"

"Yeah"we we're let in by the securities after showing them our badges

"Gentlemen what brings you to my party?"

"Sorry to barge in like this Mr Christopher but were here for some thing important.... hope you don't mind us staying?"Nathan answered

"Of course not "he replied with a smile

"If there's anyway I can be of assistance... please don't hesitate to call me" he smiled boardly walking away

"Okay Nathan we need to split up...no one goes in and goes out ...got that "

"Yeah" he muttered walking away

I adjusted my shades properly blending in 

I walked over to the kitchen to find the chefs busy making dishes... but there was one in particular who acted kinda suspicious

He glared at me before rushing out ...he's up to something

I caught sight of him climbing the stairs....

"Excuse me" please a lady bumped into me

"Excuse...me" I climbed up the stairs but lost sight of the guy

Damn!

I walked gingerly on the hallway hoping to see him...this mansion is huge...

"Sir he's on my trail...I suggest we leave now" I slacked my steps as I walked to the bathroom

I kicked the door open surprising the idoit...my hunch was right he is working for James

I rushed towards him giving him a knee kick in the mid section

He groaned in pain slumping to the ground...I grabbed hold of his collar pinning him to the wall

"Now tell me where is James !....am not gonna ask twice!" I barked

"I don't know what you're talking about" he spat...I rewarded him with a punch making blood ozz out of his mouth

"Talk!"

"Am not saying anything"

"Don't waste my time bîtch!"

"Liam..."I turned around do see Nathan

"Yeah what is it ?!"I snared

"Well we found James..."I let the guy crash on the ground but not without Nathan cuffing him to the door before we both walked out

"So where is he ?"I asked 

"Roland already took him to the station for questioning"

"Then we need to leave this party now..".we both got into the car with Nathan driving

"Was anyone harmed at the party?"

"None at all"

I kept mute thinking about Tina...I hope she's not mad at what I did

I just pray she hasn't tried anything stupid...

At the station 

I walked into the questioning room that was a bit dark

James sat down on a chair with his hands tied

"Any progress Roland?...has he said anything?"

"Not really...he's been stubborn"

I nodded seating near the chair across him

I stared cupped my hands staring into his eyes

"Inspector Liam "he smiled

"Am surprised you're here...."

"What so you mean by that?"...he leaned closer

"Aren't you worried about Tina?" he whispered smiling wickedly

"It can't be "I rushed out of the room running to my car

Oh gawd!

Please let nothing happen to Tina and the baby...if anything happens to them I wouldn't be able to forgive myself

I arrived at the manison to see everyone looking at something in dismay

"Tina!"that's Penny's voice... she held Tina who laid in a pool of blood

"T...Tina"I ran to her talking her weak body ....a bullet was fired through her stomach

"Oh my goodness !"Max rushed downstairs

I carried in bridal style rushing to the car

At the hospital 

I paced nervously biting my fingers

"What happened to her Penny?"I found myself asking

"Someone..a....aimed a sliencer at us....it was ought to hit me....b....b... but Tina pushed me out of the way"she cried out loud resting on Max's shoulder

It's all my fault....i should have been there for her... for fûck sake she my responsibility

I should have never left her...it's all my fault

I sat down racking my hair with my hands

"It's all my fault !"I cried out

I should have been there for her....now she's hurt

Arrrgggh

"It's not your fault Liam... nobody knew something like this was gonna happen" Max said calmly

"I knew something like this was gonna happen Max!"...i yelled

"I should have never left her side "I muttered

"B... but who on earth would do such a thing?"

"James"

"What... j... James is in prison" Penny sniffed

"No his not ....he's escaped 2 nights ago ..and he's working with your father"

"M...m...my father..."her lips quivered a little...she broke down in tears clutching to Max

"Oh God please let nothing happen to Tina.... unless I won't be able to forgive myself"she clasped her hands together

"Please be okay Tina... please"

2 hours has past since Tina has been taken to the emergency ward... I prayed silently while waiting

The door flew opened revealing the doctor

"Doctor "I stood up looking at him with anxiety written all over my face

"Is she okay?"...

"Mr Rogers... your wife is okay"

"So what about my baby?....is he safe?...".the doctor kept mute for a while

"Doctor"

"Am sorry but you lost your baby"

"W...w....what!?"

"Am sorry "he left without sparing us a glance

'No !"I heard Penny cry.....oh gawd!

I fought the tears threatening to fall...it can't be 

"Tina" I said lowly opening the door to her room

She laid on the bed staring at the ceiling with a blank face

"Sugar lips "I cupped her hands in mine staring at her

"Are you oka_"

"Liam...I lost my baby"

"Ti_"she faced me properly....

"I lost my baby Liam!"she cried out clutching to my cloths

I hugged her while she cried "It's gonna be fine "I repeated storking her hair
