Chapter 25

Mica POV

I crawled out of the bed....I pulled off my nightie and tied a towel around my waist

I was about entering the bathroom when my phone awoked with a call

I checked the caller to see that it James

I hissed loudly throwing the phone on the bed

That b@stard

He's nothing but a double crossing motherfuvker

I had a nice hot shower...I thought about Max as the warm water rained on me

I bet he never wants to see my face again

Am a terrible mother...I was even rude to Mrs meyer

God bless that woman...I felt tears streaming down my cheeks

I know I've been a terrible mother but I just want Max to forgive me

If tho he never accepts me but he should at least forgive me

And as for Mrs meyer I need to apologise

With that concluded in my mind..I tied the towel and walked out

I wore a gown that stopped at my knee with a scarf tied around my neck

I wore a long coat cause of the cold weather

"Good morning ma'am....aren't you having breakfast?"my maid Juliet asked

"No Juliet...I'll be back before noon"with that I walked away

The cold morning breeze blew across my face as I walked gingerly into the woods

I slacked my steps as I approached Mrs Meyer little house

I summoned enough courage and knocked on the wooden door

"Who's that?"my heart skipped a beat thinking about her reaction when she sees me

She opened the door a little but on seeing me she tried closing it

"Ma'am please give a chance to explain myself"I pleaded

She regarded me for while and finally opened the door wide for me to enter

She didn't spare me a glance she walked to a sofa and sat down

"What do you want Mica"anger was evident in her voice

I dragged my feet to a couch and sat down

She sipped from her tea slowly and looked at me

"What do you want Mica?... you've already accused me of se_"

"Am sorry"i kneeled before her with my head bowed

I touched her foot with tears flowing freely from my eyes

"Am sorry ma'am...I know what i did was unacceptable...I was rude ,stupid and mostly ungrateful

I come to you today not as a girl full of pride but as a terrible mother begging for forgiveness"I sniffed uncontrollable

"It's okay Mica....get up"she helped me seat besides her

"It's okay dear"she placed my head on her bossom wiping my tears away

"Am sorry ma'am...am sorry"I kept muttering

"It's okay dear..it's okay...and I forgive you"she storked my hair tenderly

"You do?"

"I do Mica and am sorry for being harsh on you...it's okay stop crying"

"Thank you mum"

"Mum?"

"You're old enough to be my mum right?...so I should call you mum from now on"I said smiling

She smiled lightly and kissed my forehead

She made breakfast for me and we ate together

We spent the day together...and honestly she's really nice to me with

"Mica"

"Yes mum"

"Have you visited Max?"she asked

"Not yet mum...I...I don't know whether he'll accept me..maybe he'll_"

"Oh Mica"she rubbed my hands

"You're his mother...and the bond between a mother and her son is literally unbreakable"

"You mean it"

"Of course my dear"

"Okay then...I should get going"I said getting up

"You should dear"she kissed me good bye and went back to her house

The house I really old ...I think it should be renovated

Or rather she can come live with me

I'll tell her maybe tomorrow.. for now I need to see Max

 At the Penelope's manison ⛪

Getting into the manison was sure not easy

The securities is really tight...the walk from the gate for the manison was f***king long

I stopped to caught my breath before knocking on the door

"Op...gud afternoon miss"a young pretty lady said

She held a can of water in her hand staring at me curiously with her black eye balls

"Gud afternoon..am here to see Max..am his mum"I said politely

She studied me for a while..."I'll be right back"

She came back after a few minutes with Penny and hah 

Max

 Max POV

"My mum?"I asked again In astonishment

"Yeah...and be quick"she closed the door

I looked at Penny who wore a blank expression on her face

"I don't wanna see her"I muttered

"But Max...she's still your mum.. let's go and meet her"before I could reply Penny got hold of my arm pulling me to the living room

My mum sat down on one of the sofa looking agitated

"Max"she beamed rushing to hug me

She stopped on tracks seeing Penny

She stood a few inches away from me

"Max"she wrapped her arms around me bugging me warmly

Penny let go of my arm 

I wrapped my arms around her hugging her back

"Max am sorry...am sorry for all I've done...I know I've been a terrible mother but please am sorry for not been there for you all these years"she said admist tears

"It's okay mum...I forgive you"

"Thank you Max...thank you"

 Authroess POV 

James tighten his fist in anger as he watched the ongoing scene in Penny's manison ...how could Mica betray him?

"I'll make you pay Max"
