ELSA'S POV:
I kept thinking maybe Luna Isabella was out of her mind when she said I was assigned as Ezekiel's personal maid. Why would a grown ass dude need a maid or could it be she knows who I am? But there was no way anyone would link me to Amber and Damien of Crest Lake Pack. In fact, my Pack has gone into extinction. I could swear that I’m the only surviving member of Crest Lake Pack so she wouldn't know who I am. “Just take it as the odds are working in your favor. Being his personal maid would give you the opportunity to make him fall for you and then carry out your plan.” I assured myself, beaming at the rare opportunity presented to me in a platter of gold. I quickly fished out my phone and dialed Mr Graham's number. “Elsa?” His stoic voice came at the end of the phone. “You settled well?” He further asked. “Yes, I have been assigned as Ezekiel's personal maid.” I told him and from the shifting sound in the background, I could swear he took the news well. “That's great. Don't get caught and take it at a slow pace. We have about a year to carry out our plans so don't be in a hurry.” I nodded and waited for further instructions from him. “Remember what I always say. These people are not your friend, no matter how kindly they act towards you. They are the reason you're an orphan who is without a Pack.” He pointed out. “I know, Mr Graham. I haven't forgotten.” “Great then, keep me in touch and please keep taking your medicine. We don't want them finding out your true identity. You have to remain as an omega at all courses.” And he hung up with that being said. Squeezing my eyes shut, I opened it a moment later to hear a knock at the door. “The Chief maid is looking for you.” A maid related the minute I opened the door. Arriving at the Chief Maid quarters, a guard ushered just me inside. Soon the woman joined me, emanating an aura of rigid authority. Her dark brown hair cascaded down her back. She wore a white dress shirt tucked into a dark blue skirt. She greeted me by introducing herself as Elizabeth Bennett. “The Luna informed me that you have been assigned to the Heir?" Her question was more of a statement. I nodded, seeing no reason to respond with words. Her piercing glance swept across me. "Use your words, Miss." She commanded, her tone atomic, causing a shiver down my spine. "I was made aware, Ms Bennett." I mouthed, trying not to show my apprehension. Elizabeth pursed her lips and her brows furrowed. "I see. In that case, you're to begin your job immediately." I opened my mouth to protest but closed it back. "Though the rest are to begin tomorrow but being the Heir's personal maid it's mandatory you begin immediately. Here is his schedule." She finished by handing a printed paper to me. I briefly glanced at Ms Bennett before asking, "what happened to his former personal maid?" Scanning me briefly, she said, "you're the first. Now go and quit asking questions." With a wave of hand, she ushered me out of her quarters without further instructions. Looking at the list, I shook my head seeing it was time for his evening coffee "Basta*rd," I huffed to myself before heading out to find the kitchen. Finding the kitchen was quite hard since I haven't been given an official tour of the house. With little help from the maids in the kitchen, I made his coffee and headed to his chambers to give it to him. I knocked yet I got no response so I pushed the door open and walked into an empty room, his scent engulfing my entire bring. I breathed in, dwelling in the heavenly feeling of his scent. For a moment, I forgot who he was and only remembered him as someone who could make my heart flutter in delight. "Snap out of it." I scolded myself mentally before clearing my throat. "Hello!" Nothing answered except the running of showers I hadn't realized earlier. I quickly placed the mug on his desk and turned to escape when his bathroom door flew open. I froze and watched, mesmerized by those large Hazel gray eyes that were filled with something I couldn't fathom. He didn't move, instead, he held my gaze like he was trying to decipher what was going on inside my head. "You're here?" He croaked, still watching me intently. "Yeah," I chuckled nervously and pointed towards the mug. "I brought you your coffee." His gaze left my face and settled on the Mug briefly before settling back on my face. "And why would you do that?" His question caught me off guard. He seemed to have no idea what's going on. "I'm assigned as your personal maid." I declared and watched his expression go from confusion to bewilderment then to something else before he shrugged and went for the Mug. Seeing the perfect Opportunity to leave, I made for the door but I was pinned against the door before I knew it. My eyes nearly popped out of their Sockets. Without a care in the world, I felt Ezekiel nuzzle into my neck and warmth spread through my body. “You smell delicious,” he whispered, desires evident in his voice. His hot breath against my skin caused me to shiver slightly. “How I wish.” he let go of me and turned his back on me, ruffling his hair in the process. A light bulb appeared in my head and decided to use this rare opportunity to my advantage. It seemed I was smoothened by him already. In this case, my mission will be easier. Circling around him, I tugged at his shirt with my gaze fixed on his face. Slowly, I stood on my toes and without a second thought, my lips met his. The kiss felt so right. In fact, I felt so right in his arms, like we belonged together. There was a pull of attraction between us and it was undoubtedly evident. I let him kiss me, his fingers running through my hair, sending tantalizing waves through my bloodstream. For the Goddess sake, it was a progress and with this pace, he would fall in love with me in no time. It’s all I want; for him to be madly in love with me and then I would strike. Let the game begin!EZEKIEL'S POV: "Are you okay, babe?" Rue asked as she tried to open my shirt button. I grunted and pushed her aside. "Not today, Rue. I'm not in the mood." I spat out and gulped the content of my glass and set it down."It's impossible for Zeke not to be in the mood for s*x. What happened to you dude?"I rolled my eyes at the annoying voice of my best friend. "Chris, stop it already. It's not funny." Rue stood up and picked her bag, ready to leave. "Bye." She uttered and stormed out angrily."Yoo! That's too harsh, dude. This is your girlfriend you're treating this way." Chris chastised me, clearly angry."Do you want me to leave your house?" I glared at him and he raised his hands up in surrender."Alright chillax dude. You're acting like a spoiled brat." He muttered under his breath and poured himself a drink.I huffed and looked away, if only he knew."So my father said you and I have only one year left to assume duties. With the way your mood swings, it will be hard playing yo
ELSA'S POV: My second day here and it hasn't been eventful except for the kiss with Ezekiel the previous day.I was adjusting to the life of a maid though it was hard to. Glancing at the container in my hand, I hissed in anger. “I wonder how long I have to take this drug?” I mumbled and threw a tablet into my mouth. The sour taste passed through my throat and I cringed, shaking my head vehemently.I couldn't believe that I have to go this low to complete my mission. Taking a drug that will disguise me as an omega because I wouldn't want Alpha Nathan to find out I was the daughter of Alpha Damien of Crest Lake Pack. “Are you sick?” Mina's startled me and I quickly hid the container by my side and smiled at her.“I should have some privacy.” I voiced and Mina nodded, apologizing instantly. “I knocked but you didn't answer though. And I was worried because you were taking so much time in here.” “It's fine.” I mumbled and stylishly hid the container and smiled at her. “Why are you
EZEKIEL'S POV: Chris's house was filled to the brim with people from his school. I haven't attended school all my life. I was homeschooled and any friends I had, it was through Chris. Except that I'm in college now and graduating soon so I could take over the pack. "Hey, Man!" I huffed as his annoying voice came from behind me. The loud music in the background made it difficult to hear him clearly."Where is Rue?" Chris asked and settled beside me on the couch."She is in the ladies." I stated and looked away."Your Mate?" He whispered. I quickly scanned the crowd and saw no sign of Elsa. I suddenly felt uneasy as Knight, my Wolf growled impatiently."I know, buddy. Let's go find her." I mumbled and patted Chris on his back before exiting. I searched the whole building yet I saw neither Rue or Elsa. Something told me that if I find Rue I will find Elsa. Rue had been in a foul mood since learning that Elsa was assigned to me as my new maid. I could have just told her the tru
ELSA’S POV:"You are not getting caught making out with Ezekiel?" I screamed internally, looking for a way out. There was definitely nowhere I could hide. The restroom was pretty enclosed for two people. My eyes shot up in huge fear as I realized it was not just anyone coming to the restroom, but Rue.My panic level rose to the highest degree, and I thought of several lies to tell if we eventually got caught."I'm doomed," I kept chattering. My plan hadn't matured yet to fail at this level."Be still," Ezekiel whispered, and he had his hand resting near my chest, calming my rapid breathing. Despite the worry in his eyes, his gaze held something I couldn't decipher. We waited, counting the seconds."Rue?" It was Chris's voice. A moment of relief washed over Ezekiel and me."Can you help me with something in the kitchen?" Chris requested. Something in the back of my mind said he knew about us in the restroom. As soon as we heard their footsteps fading away, our racing hearts calmed dow
ELSA’S POV: "Now, it's my turn," he whispered, guiding my hands towards his hard bulge, its length surprisingly long.A bang on the door got both of us scattering to our feet. “Ezekiel, you better come out.” Chris's voice was low, and his tone was laced with warning.I suddenly felt so bad for Ezekiel. Regardless of my deep resentment towards him and his family, I wanted nothing more than to make him as happy as he had made me.It's not news anymore that my body and soul seemingly disagree with my head whenever I find myself in Ezekiel's presence.“I will leave first.” He said, the desires in his eyes coursed through the tone of his voice. I nodded and watched him leave. After a while, I adjusted my gown, breathed in, and walked out like nothing had happened.I met Chris along the corridor with a warm smile on his face. It looked like the party was over.“He is waiting for you in the car,” he mouthed, the warm smile still lingering in his face.Brushing a strand of my hair past my e
ELSA'S POV:I had no idea what I had done, but it was pretty bad to get Alpha Nathan coming to my quarters and ordering that I should be dragged out in the field. With a little thud, the guards that had seized me let go of me, and I hit my butt so hard on the rocky ground. All the servants had gathered, and in the midst of the crowd was Rue smirking at me, and I had a feeling that my predicament had everything to do with her."Whip her until she has no legs to walk." Alpha Nathan commanded and turned to leave when I spoke up. "Please, sir, what did I do?" I needed to know what my offense was.He stared down at me with a begrudged look and said, "Your only crime was existing." His tone was so cold that I could feel the chills emanating from him.Swallowing hard, I watched him leave and got ready to be flogged. The guard on my right raised his hand, about to hit me, when I caught sight of a man in the crowd. He was in all black, with his face hidden in the shadows. I blinked twice, an
THE MASKED MAN’S POVI sat bored, staring at the man before me, wriggled in pain. He was missing four fingers in his right hand, all thanks to me."No matter what you do to me, I won't say a word," he groaned, his voice raspy and cracked. His face was puffy and swollen. Blood trickled from his lips and nostrils.I gave an evil smirk through my mask. "Not like I give a damn about you though, but for the sake of this matter, you are going to talk, or I’ll make sure to kill your entire family before your very eyes." I threatened him with my lips pulled up in a smirk. His jaw dropped slightly. "You will never get away with that." He coughed, blood splattering on my boots. "Well, you will see." I said casually, my smile gone. I stood up, adjusting my long black coat."If you're not going to talk, by the time my men are done with you, you will spill everything." I smirked and turned to my men. "Make sure he talks."I headed towards the entrance of the underground. I hadn't made it far when
ELSA'S POV: With a groan, I flipped over to my side and trembled violently at the sudden headache I was feeling. The sunlight filtered in through the small gaps between the slats of the blinds into the room, blinding me momentarily.I hissed in pain and propped up my shoulders."Someone's awake." Mina's voice startled me. I didn't even realize anyone was in the room with me."What happened?" I groaned again."You passed out after drinking some water yesterday night," she replied, studying me briefly. "That's all I know. The pack doctor only mentioned the problem to the Alpha." She explained.I bit my lips in deep concentration, trying to figure out what had happened, but the memory of last night was all foggy. I gave up after many attempts with no success."Hmm," I hummed in response and I got my ass off the bed. A scent whizzed past my nose, and I inhaled deeply, trying to identify it. "Why are you sniffing the air?" Mina questioned, her brows furrowed in confusion.I looked at he
EZEKIEL'S POV:“Of course, I’m late again!” a voice boomed, and I didn’t need anyone to tell me it was Alpha Clementino from Shadow City, my father’s acquaintance. He was infamous for being late to every gathering, whether at my father's place or elsewhere. It was amusing, really, considering we never quite clicked despite him being an acquaintance of Father.“Ah, my good friend!” my father exclaimed, his smile wide as he greeted Clementino. After a few pleasantries, he joined the rest of the guests at the table.Once I had eaten my fill, I decided to escape the table and mingle with the other attendees.Suddenly, Mariel appeared beside me, her expression serious. She raised her wine glass to mine and took a long sip before handing the empty glass to a passing waiter.“I’m really disappointed, you know,” she said, her voice tinged with frustration.“Why are you disappointed?” I asked, my gaze drifting to Chris and Dylan chatting at the far end of the hall.“I’m about to leave this eve
EZEKIEL'S POV:“Are you okay, man?” Chris asked, worry etched on his face as he approached me. We were at the bar in the castle, trying to unwind with a drink.I shook my head, letting out a heavy sigh as I lifted my glass of vodka. The harsh burn of the liquor hit my throat, making me groan in discomfort.“My Wolf has been restless, and I don’t know why,” I muttered, avoiding his gaze. With a comforting hand on my shoulder, Chris smiled. “I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about,” he reassured me. But even with his words, an unsettling feeling gnawed at me, refusing to let go.“I know how to lift your spirits,” he suddenly exclaimed, his grin wide and infectious. I raised an eyebrow, curious. “And what would that be?”He chuckled softly and settled onto the stool beside me, swirling his own drink. My patience was wearing thin.“Elsa,” he whispered, his eyes sparkling with excitement.A smile tugged at my lips, but it faded just as quickly. I hadn’t seen Elsa all afternoon.“Um…”Whatever
ELSA’S POV:I jolted awake, my head pounding and my mind clouded as I struggled to figure out where I was. My eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness around me. As I became fully aware, the darkness began to lift.A low grunt escaped my lips as I hissed in pain. My hands and legs were tied, and a strip of black tape sealed my mouth shut. I was sitting on the cold floor, and the room was empty and deserted, reeking of rotten food. Anger surged through me, overwhelming my confusion."Who on earth would want to kidnap me?" I thought, panic rising as I tried to wriggle free from my restraints.Suddenly, the door to the empty room flew open, and two men in black walked in, sizing me up with cold, emotionless stares. They stopped right in front of me, and then another man followed closely behind. He wore a tailored black suit that emphasized his broad shoulders and muscular build. A crisp white shirt and black tie completed his effortlessly confident look. His dark hair was perfectly styled, a
ELSA'S POV:The day passed slowly, with nothing much happening. I kept my distance from Rue and Ezekiel, and thankfully, Ezekiel didn’t ask me to wait on him. Maybe he was avoiding me too, or perhaps he felt guilty about what he did to me. But honestly, I doubted he ever felt guilty.I couldn’t even tell if he had any real feelings for me anymore.“Since you’re free, come help us in the kitchen,” Mina called from the doorway, arms crossed, studying me.“I don’t have to,” I mumbled, irritation bubbling up inside me.“Well, you do. Ms. Bennett said we need all hands on deck,” she replied, stepping into my room.“The Castle is hosting a small gathering for some of the most important men in the Pack,” she added, reaching for my hair. I instinctively dodged her touch.“Why am I always the last to know what’s happening in the Castle?” I complained, frustration evident in my voice.“It’s because your only business here is with Ezekiel. Besides, maids in this Castle don’t gossip, so you won’t
ELSA'S POV:The ringing sound in the background pulled me from my restless sleep. I groaned and blinked my eyes open, desperately searching for my phone.“Damn it,” I muttered under my breath, trying to control the wave of anger bubbling up inside me.“Mr. Graham?” I mumbled as soon as I answered the call.“Elsa?” His voice was tense, making me sit up straight. Every muscle in my body protested from the ache of spending the night kneeling in the cold.“How’s everything going?” He asked.“Great,” I lied, forcing a cheerful tone despite the despair clawing at me. I had just been allowed to rest and instructed to sleep for a while, a command from Ezekiel that still stung.“Okay, just checking in. Don’t forget to take your pills,” he said, and before I could even respond, he hung up.I let out a heavy sigh, the weight of frustration crashing down on me as I pulled myself out of bed. The wall clock flashed at 9 a.m.—I was late for my morning duties. After changing into my uniform, I dragge
EZEKIEL'S POV:“Babe!” Rue’s voice called out as soon as I slid into the car. Elyse still hadn’t returned. I rolled my eyes and turned to face her. She looked stunning in a black dress, wearing the rose necklace I had given her for our anniversary last year.“I’m coming with you,” she announced cheerfully as she climbed in, completely oblivious to the anger radiating from me.“Rue, you’re not going anywhere with me,” I said firmly, my eyes warning her to back off.“Why not?” she pouted. “I’m your girlfriend,” she added, clinging to my arm. I tried to shake her off, but she wouldn’t let go. “If you don’t take me with you, I’ll go straight to Father’s chambers and tell him everything,” she threatened, fully aware that dragging Father into this was the last thing I wanted.“Fine,” I muttered, shoving her away. “You’re on your own tonight.” I turned my back on her, frustration boiling inside me.A few minutes later, Elyse showed up, looking confused and clearly scared.“Get in the car, El
EZEKIEL'S POV:The heavy silence that fell in my bedroom as Father, Mother, a few guards, and I entered was almost suffocating. For what felt like an eternity, I was trying to piece together what had happened between Rue and Elsa, who looked like she might faint at any moment. I couldn't tell if it was from exhaustion or sheer terror.“What’s going on?” Father asked again, his voice sharp with concern.“Alpha, I invited Elsa to drink some juice with me, and she agreed. But the moment she got the juice, she dumped it all over my hair!” Rue's words triggered a collective gasp in the room.I wasn’t naive; I could see she was lying.“I know Elsa and I didn’t get off to the best start, but I really wanted us to be friends. That’s why I invited her to share a drink with me as a peace offering.” Her voice trembled as if she were on the verge of tears. I rolled my eyes and turned away, trying to block out the chaos.“Ezekiel?” Father’s voice pulled me back to reality. He shot me a quick look
ELSA'S POV:"Mr. Diago told us to do the job tonight," one person said, and another added, "Ezekiel needs to die ASAP."I felt a lump in my throat, and a cold shiver ran down my spine, making me feel nauseous."Don’t you think it would look too suspicious to kill him at the hunting grounds?" someone else said, breaking the tense silence.I looked around, unsure of what to do. I couldn’t run to Ezekiel and warn him that his so-called friends were plotting to kill him. Plus, I had no plan to stop them on my own."I think Dylan should get close to him, and then we can kill him in a less obvious way," the last voice suggested."We should go back to Mr. Diago and come up with a new plan," the first person said, and the others agreed."I need to at least see their faces," I thought, gathering my courage and taking a step forward. My body was shaking from fear, and I stumbled as I walked.A few steps later, I fell hard with a loud thud."Who's there?" One of them yelled, and my heart raced.
ELSA'S POV:Nothing had changed in the past few days except that the security around the pack had been tightened. One of the new maids recruited was found dead at the border between the Blood Moon Pack and a neighboring pack. Alpha Nathan believes it's a war signal; however, he had sent words across, and the neighboring pack said they had nothing to do with the death of the maid. But still, he didn't take it lightly.Rue has been parading herself as the pack's future Luna. Her pregnancy had gotten to the ears of every single member of the Blood Moon Pack.I could say I have made quite a bit of progress with Ezekiel. He seemed to be wrapped around my fingers, ready to defend me.Sometimes I feel sorry for him, but after remembering what his father had done to mine, any pang of regret in my heart disappears. Sad to say, I haven't got anything on the Shadow Man or who wants me dead.My phone rang, disrupting my thoughts. Ezekiel looked up from his tap and stared at me before going back
