Her Nemesis

ELSA’S POV:

"Now, it's my turn," he whispered, guiding my hands towards his hard bulge, its length surprisingly long.

A bang on the door got both of us scattering to our feet.

“Ezekiel, you better come out.” Chris's voice was low, and his tone was laced with warning.

I suddenly felt so bad for Ezekiel. Regardless of my deep resentment towards him and his family, I wanted nothing more than to make him as happy as he had made me.

It's not news anymore that my body and soul seemingly disagree with my head whenever I find myself in Ezekiel's presence.

“I will leave first.” He said, the desires in his eyes coursed through the tone of his voice. I nodded and watched him leave.

After a while, I adjusted my gown, breathed in, and walked out like nothing had happened.

I met Chris along the corridor with a warm smile on his face. It looked like the party was over.

“He is waiting for you in the car,” he mouthed, the warm smile still lingering in his face.

Brushing a strand of my hair past my ear, I returned the smile before walking away.

“Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.” He yelled after me, chuckling delightfully. A blush graced my face before it slipped away.

“Thanks,” I whispered more to myself than to him.

My moment of fun was over today. Tomorrow, I’ll go again.

Though at this rate, by the end of the week, I might have Ezekiel in the palm of my hand.

*********

I jolted awake with my body drenched in cold water and an angry face staring down at me.

"You're still sleeping, b!tch?!" Rue roared on top of her voice, her eyes burning with so much rage.

My eyes flew to the wall clock, which read 5 a.m. I didn't realize I was going to wake up by this time.

"It's too early, ma'am." I mouthed, rubbing my eyes as a yawn escaped past my mouth.

Before I could gather my thoughts, a slap had grazed my face, which sent me staggering to my feet.

“Stupid drugs!” I screamed internally, blaming the godforsaken drugs I had been shoving down my throat. Not only does it make me an omega, it saps my strength, making me entirely defenseless against attacks like this.

The stinking pain on my slapped cheek left me disoriented for about 30 seconds.

“Get my damn coffee and make it snappy,” she grumbled and stomped away.

“I'm not your maid, b!tch.” I growled, clenching my fist tightly enough. After taking a couple breaths, I left to make her coffee.

Only if she knows that, according to the norm, she is no match for me.

“Stupid girl,” I kept muttering while I took the coffee to her.

“Mama, you don't worry; I'm fine. Alpha Nathan and Luna Isabella are taking care of me.” I heard Rue speaking on the phone.

Since I didn't want to interrupt her conversation, I stood outside her door and listened.

“Zeke and I haven't been having the best relationship, but I'm sure we will be fine in no time.” She said that, and I heard a sound of pacing. “Yeah, Mama. I know that, bye.” She ended the call, and I pushed the door open without knocking.

Without looking at me, Rue grabbed the mug and emptied its content on my body. A shocking gasp left my mouth. My eyes grew wide open as I tried to ascertain why she had done that.

“Next time you walk into my room without a knock, I will shove a burning coal into your ass.” She threatened and sent me flying across the wall. She strolled to where I lay, groaning on the floor, and crouched down before me, fires of glare shooting out of her eyes as she grabbed a handful of my hair. I wriggled in pain, trying to loosen her grip on my hair.

“Zeke might be your knight in shining armor, but I'm your nemesis. I will deal with you anytime, any day, regardless of who is on your side.” She declaimed, staring right into my eyes, and afterwards, she pushed me. Unfortunately for me, I had my head hit against her bedpost, which caused me to slide back to the ground. “Now go make me another coffee." She demanded and got on the bed.

I winced in pain as I got to my feet and made my way out of her room.

A few minutes later, I was back with another freshly made cup of coffee for her.

I had so much to say, complain about, or even throw tantrums, but I could only growl in silence, waiting for the day I would take my pound of fresh.

"Get back here, b!tch!"

I sighed and turned to her, waiting to see why she had stopped me from leaving.

"Go wait by the corner. You are waiting on me today." She ordered and pointed at the far corner of the room.

"With all due respect, Ms. Rue, I'm not your personal maid." I grumpled, trying to tame my temper.

"My man is your master, and since he isn't around, you'll wait on me." She explained and took a sip of the coffee before setting the mug on the side table. My brows rose. "Alpha Heir is not around."

I was surprised to hear he wasn't around. We returned pretty late last night; where could he have gone, and why didn't I know about it?

"Oh, you think because you're his personal maid, you are to know his every move?" A hint of mockery was laced into her tone.

"No, Ma'am." I mumbled and forced my head down in a bow.

"Good!" She exclaimed.

"Spoilt brat," I cursed under my breath as the room fell silent. She snuggled into her duvet with a smirk pulled up at the corner of her lips.

I couldn't remember how long I waited on her, but it was long enough to get me sleeping on my feet. Luckily for me, I opened my eyes before she did. I helped her through the morning. Running her bath, making breakfast for her, and arranging her bed chamber. Then I proceeded to clean Ezekiel's bed chamber as well. By the time I was done, it was mid-day.

Reaching my quarters, I collapsed on the bed, feeling bone tired.

Not long enough, the door opened, and right at the entrance of the room was Alpha Nathan, glaring down at me with so much fury.

“Seize her!” He declared and turned on his heels.
