ELSA'S POV:
With a groan, I flipped over to my side and trembled violently at the sudden headache I was feeling. The sunlight filtered in through the small gaps between the slats of the blinds into the room, blinding me momentarily. I hissed in pain and propped up my shoulders. "Someone's awake." Mina's voice startled me. I didn't even realize anyone was in the room with me. "What happened?" I groaned again. "You passed out after drinking some water yesterday night," she replied, studying me briefly. "That's all I know. The pack doctor only mentioned the problem to the Alpha." She explained. I bit my lips in deep concentration, trying to figure out what had happened, but the memory of last night was all foggy. I gave up after many attempts with no success. "Hmm," I hummed in response and I got my ass off the bed. A scent whizzed past my nose, and I inhaled deeply, trying to identify it. "Why are you sniffing the air?" Mina questioned, her brows furrowed in confusion. I looked at her blankly before realizing I'd been snuffling. My cheeks flushed pink. "Um." I paused and looked away. "Leave me alone." I was suddenly angry for no reason. "Well, I came to inform you that Ms. Bennett said that since Ezekiel is back, you can't come to the kitchen any longer." She delivered and left, flipping her hair on her way out. My eyes scowled around, and I found the wall clock, which read 9:40. How come they left me sleeping for so long? I wondered why I changed into the maid's uniform. What had happened might have been pretty bad for them to let me sleep late into the morning. Tying my hair into a bun, I left the room in a hurry, and by no time I was at Ezekiel's front door clutching a broom and dustpan. I listened carefully and breathed in relief when I didn't hear any movement in his room. I knocked twice, yet there was no response. I needed to confirm if he was in or not. I pushed the door open and went in, quietly closing the door behind me. Without wasting time, I got busy, and before long, I was done cleaning his room. I rushed out to get his coffee and returned soon enough. Waiting patiently at a corner, I began counting the minutes in wait for Ezekiel. An hour went by, yet there was no sign of him. Going back to my quarter was not an option since my only job here was to attend to Ezekiel. I continued to wait. Unfortunately, my feet gave in to fatigue, and I sat down. ******* Landing on my back, a gasp escaped my mouth. "Ouch!" I mumbled and looked around in confusion. I was still in Ezekiel's room, and I had fallen from his couch. "How did I get on it?" I pondered and stood up. "Get me water to drink." Ezekiel said from behind me, startling me a bit. "You're back?" I asked instead of going to do what I was told to do. He nodded and watched me kneely. "Next time you feel sleepy while you're here, sleep on the couch." He said, his voice casual, like me sleeping in his room wouldn't be a big deal. "Ms. Rue might chop off my head, you know." I smirked and ran my hands on his chest. He gently helped my hand in place, staring deeply into my eyes. "She wouldn't dare." With that, he let go of my hand and strolled to the big desk at the far end of the room. Settling behind it, he looked up and said, "I was just gone for a day, and you almost died." I had nothing to say in regard to that, so I retort to getting the water he had asked for. "What are you doing?" I popped the question, handing him the glass of water. "Elsa, go sit on that couch and don't say a word." He ordered, and I found myself cowering to his command despite my resistance. It felt like I was being compelled by him. I wasn't a member of this pack, so such shouldn't work on me. For hours, Ezekiel did God know what while I sat and kept mute as he had commanded. By the fifth hour, my stomach had started growling, and that's when I realized I hadn't eaten a thing. As if on cue, the door opened, and maids tripped in with trays of different meals, a movable dining table, and two chairs. "Set those by the corner." Ezekiel said this without looking up from his desk. "Is Rue back?" He suddenly asked, lifting his head up for a moment before lowering it back. "No, your highness." One of the maids replied and cast me a glance. The rest did the same thing before tripping out of the room. "Let's eat." Ezekiel stated as he got to his feet, moving towards me. I scoffed and threw my head away. "After you made me sit in silence for hours," I grumbled, not sparing him a glance. He chuckled, and I tilted my head to face him. "You're my maid, you know?" I had no idea where he was headed with that question, so I stayed silent and watched him. "But I can't seem to treat you like one. It's like you've cast a spell on me." He whispered, his warm breath fanning my cheek. I froze at his words, somehow confused. "Has he fallen so deeply in love with me in just a few days?" I wondered silently to myself. "I wonder what my girlfriend will do if she finds out what you have done to me." He said and let go of me. "Wait what?" I asked in confusion. "What did I do to you?" I was suddenly lost because it felt like he was talking about something entirely different. Circling him, I blocked his way. "What did I do?" I repeated. A devilish smirk graced his face, and he tanked me to himself. "This," he mumbled and leaned forward. That very moment, his door opened, and Alpha Nathan walked in. We both froze in the air.EZEKIEL'S POV:"Ezekiel?" Father's voice echoed, resonating with the walls of my bed chambers. Elsa looked like she was going to pass out."Behave as if you're buttoning my shirt," I whispered quickly. Luckily, my shirt was half-buttoned down. She caught on quickly and hurriedly did as she was told."Your maid is here." Father asked as he slowly approached me.With a small smile, I brushed Elsa aside and turned to Father."Yes. She was helping me with my buttons." I replied with ease, trying not to give myself away.Father acknowledged what I said but had his gaze on Elsa for a while before clearing his throat."I need to talk to you in my study." He stated and casually walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.The moment we were left alone, Elsa breathed out shakily, patting her chest in the process."If your father finds out what we've been doing, I will be dead meat." She stated it as a matter of fact, and my heart sank in despair. My wolf growled lowly and went silent i
ELSA'S POV:I laid on the bed, counting the seconds, staring blankly at the ceiling. My mind was going back and forth.I couldn't seem to forget the look Alpha Nathan gave me when he was leaving Ezekiel's room. It was like he knew something."I just have to be careful," I mumbled, facing the wall. Restlessness of sorts suddenly set in, causing me to spring to my feet immediately.Quietly opening the door, I saw the long hallway empty, and I took a deep breath before closing the door and tip-toeing my way out. A breath of fresh air on my skin will do me some good.I made it past Rue's chambers but halted in my tracks as I heard voices coming from her bedroom. I knew it was bad to eavesdrop, but curiosity got the better of me."How come you're suddenly pregnant?" Ezekiel asked, and my heart twitched like I had been pierced with thousands of needles simultaneously. I felt faint.'RUE IS PREGNANT?'"You're not seriously asking me that question. You've forgotten how you shot your cum insid
ELSA'S POV:Nothing had changed in the past few days except that the security around the pack had been tightened. One of the new maids recruited was found dead at the border between the Blood Moon Pack and a neighboring pack. Alpha Nathan believes it's a war signal; however, he had sent words across, and the neighboring pack said they had nothing to do with the death of the maid. But still, he didn't take it lightly.Rue has been parading herself as the pack's future Luna. Her pregnancy had gotten to the ears of every single member of the Blood Moon Pack.I could say I have made quite a bit of progress with Ezekiel. He seemed to be wrapped around my fingers, ready to defend me.Sometimes I feel sorry for him, but after remembering what his father had done to mine, any pang of regret in my heart disappears. Sad to say, I haven't got anything on the Shadow Man or who wants me dead.My phone rang, disrupting my thoughts. Ezekiel looked up from his tap and stared at me before going back
ELSA'S POV:"Mr. Diago told us to do the job tonight," one person said, and another added, "Ezekiel needs to die ASAP."I felt a lump in my throat, and a cold shiver ran down my spine, making me feel nauseous."Don’t you think it would look too suspicious to kill him at the hunting grounds?" someone else said, breaking the tense silence.I looked around, unsure of what to do. I couldn’t run to Ezekiel and warn him that his so-called friends were plotting to kill him. Plus, I had no plan to stop them on my own."I think Dylan should get close to him, and then we can kill him in a less obvious way," the last voice suggested."We should go back to Mr. Diago and come up with a new plan," the first person said, and the others agreed."I need to at least see their faces," I thought, gathering my courage and taking a step forward. My body was shaking from fear, and I stumbled as I walked.A few steps later, I fell hard with a loud thud."Who's there?" One of them yelled, and my heart raced.
ELSA'S POV: Putting my suitcase to stop, I glanced up at the mighty white building before me, stunned by its height and beauty and the way it glowed in the afternoon sunlight. This was the house of Alpha Nathan, the Alpha of the Blood moon Pack. Disregarding the churning voice in my head, reminding me the reason I was right there at that moment, I let my excitement run wide. "Gracious good, I have landed myself a goldmine." I chuckled with delight and proceeded to knock on the big gate when it flew open and a Limo was about to be driven out. The car stopped right beside me and the window of the back seat wined down, revealing a face as handsome as no one's I'd seen before. My jaw dropped at his beauty and I was pretty sure my eyes were about to pop right out of their sockets. I didn't even notice my mouth gaping because holy shit, this guy looked like he belonged in one of those Greek myth paintings or something, except with better muscles, of course, and a body that made any
ELSA'S POV: Apparently I wasn't the only new recruit in the household of Alpha Nathan. As we gathered in the long hall waiting to be addressed and welcomed by Alpha Nathan and his Luna, Isabella, I kept balancing my weight on my two feet, growing irritatedly by every passing seconds. My anger kept bubbling up and no matter how hard I tried to distract myself, I couldn't."Alpha Nathan is a monster. He is the reason you're an Orphan. Never forget that." Mr Graham's words echoed in my head. These particular words had become a constant reminder of why my life had been a hard one. The solemn reason I was there pretending to be a maid."I'll make sure that this household pays severally," I assured myself the same minute Alpha Nathan and Luna Isabella walked into the hall. They both looked better in person. The pictures of them I was shown did no justice to how great they were looking. They both look exceptionally gorgeous with mild Auras emanating from them. Safe to say you would th
ELSA'S POV: I kept thinking maybe Luna Isabella was out of her mind when she said I was assigned as Ezekiel's personal maid. Why would a grown ass dude need a maid or could it be she knows who I am?But there was no way anyone would link me to Amber and Damien of Crest Lake Pack. In fact, my Pack has gone into extinction. I could swear that I’m the only surviving member of Crest Lake Pack so she wouldn't know who I am. “Just take it as the odds are working in your favor. Being his personal maid would give you the opportunity to make him fall for you and then carry out your plan.” I assured myself, beaming at the rare opportunity presented to me in a platter of gold.I quickly fished out my phone and dialed Mr Graham's number.“Elsa?” His stoic voice came at the end of the phone.“You settled well?” He further asked.“Yes, I have been assigned as Ezekiel's personal maid.” I told him and from the shifting sound in the background, I could swear he took the news well.“That's great. D
EZEKIEL'S POV: "Are you okay, babe?" Rue asked as she tried to open my shirt button. I grunted and pushed her aside. "Not today, Rue. I'm not in the mood." I spat out and gulped the content of my glass and set it down."It's impossible for Zeke not to be in the mood for s*x. What happened to you dude?"I rolled my eyes at the annoying voice of my best friend. "Chris, stop it already. It's not funny." Rue stood up and picked her bag, ready to leave. "Bye." She uttered and stormed out angrily."Yoo! That's too harsh, dude. This is your girlfriend you're treating this way." Chris chastised me, clearly angry."Do you want me to leave your house?" I glared at him and he raised his hands up in surrender."Alright chillax dude. You're acting like a spoiled brat." He muttered under his breath and poured himself a drink.I huffed and looked away, if only he knew."So my father said you and I have only one year left to assume duties. With the way your mood swings, it will be hard playing yo
