“Alex, my man!” I was greeted by Kai as soon as I entered. His house was as luxurious as I had imagined.

“Kai, it’s good to see you again,” I greeted back, shaking his hand firmly.

“I’m not going to waste your time. We’re going straight into business. You said you wanted to discuss some conditions, right?”

“Yes, actually. It’s not something I can easily discuss,” I smiled awkwardly. “And here isn’t really the best place to tell you,”

He nodded in understanding, swiftly leading me deeper into his house. “Of course. Let’s go into my study, we can talk there,”

“Thanks. By the way, where’s your mate? I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her yet,” I commented honestly, looking around at the various art and pieces in his house.

He chuckled lightly. “She’s out, but I’m sure that you’ll see her soon,”
