“Now, instead of standing there and being so proud of yourself, clean this place up. You heard Sadie. This place is filthy. I pay you too much just to be lazing around.” he continued to speak loudly and then turned away.

He walked to his office and slammed his door so loudly. I was left in the same spot he reprimanded me in. I was too stunned even to take a step. My eyes began to water up as I just processed everything that happened.

Eventually, I slowly walked away. I went back to the kitchen to finish off cleaning what I had started on and then grabbed the other cleaning supplies and tiptoed around the house.
