I struggled to sleep the whole night. Firstly, because I was itchy from not having a good wash in a while, and secondly, from seeing how the stories of Dominic Hall had disappeared off the internet. I stayed up the whole night. I heard my neighbours enter their house in such a noisy manner; then I heard the taps make that weird coughing sound. I heard the birds make chirpy sounds as the sun slowly came out and the different neighbourhood dogs barking the whole night. But eventually, when the whole world was quiet, I closed my eyes and began to drift off. Suddenly, there was a loud banging and knocking sound on my front door. I rolled out of my bed, grabbed my phone, squinted at the screen and saw it was past 11 am. I quickly grabbed my gown, wrapped my body in it and then walked to the front door. I reached Dominic’s house, and I found him standing in the living room, with his arms folded over his chest angrily and a very angry expression on his face. “You’re awfully late!” he groaned. “Yes, I know. I am so sorry. There was an issue at home that is still trying to be sorted out.” I tried to explain as quickly as possible.“I don’t care, Homer.” he groaned.He walked into the house, and I followed behind him until I went into the tiny bedroom to change. I quickly jumped out of my jeans and blouse and into my maid uniform. That day, I did not dress up slowly lest one of those perverted guards casually strutted their way inside. I stood there, confused. It was now Sunday morning, and I was back in my crappy apartment. The heating of my water had been miraculously fixed, and I had been able to take more than enough showers. I was able to pay Adam a little money with whatever Dominic had been offering me; everything seemed pretty good except for my dusty apartment.
