Chapter 31 - Old Friends (1)

“What is my brother doing here?” Charlene asked. Weiss gulped, feeling cold on his feet as he watched the man walk in his direction. The next thing he knew was the taste of rust in his mouth as a rising pain came with it.

“Brother!” Charlene exclaimed. She was surprised to see his brother but even more flabbergasted that he was here— punching Weiss to a pulp. Charlene pulled her brother from Weiss, pinning him to the wall to force him to calm down.

“Let go, Charlene,” his voice is low. Adolphus’s deep purple eyes are set on Weiss as if he has already motioned on killing him a thousand times in his head. Adolphus could not erase the fact that Weiss had taken Charlene physically. Adolphus could not forgive him.

He turned to Charlene with a dark face, “Let. Go. Of. Me. Now.” He is starting to shift to his wolf, and Charlene knows how dangerous her brother can be in his other form. Adolphus was trained from early childhood to control his anger because it primarily causes him to shift and
