Chapter 20 - Worries

Adhler stared at Daimon for a while. He could not gather his thoughts. Now that he looks back, there is very little about the woman that he knows. He does not even know her favorites. What she does when she’s bored, or what her dreams are.

Adhler only knows about the Charlene Samarah Adams, who is the younger sibling of his old friend, a fellow student in the academy, and a person he’s starting to fall into.

Now, Adhler is even starting to question himself whether he's really falling in love with the woman or is it just the idea of loving her that thrills him.

Adhler dismissed Daimon after he examined Charlene. It did not take long for Daimon to stabilize her heartbeat. Adhler instructed him to look further into her condition.

Adhler left after making sure that Charlene was asleep. He went straight to his room and slumped onto the bed. He stared at his ceiling, drowning himself deep in his thoughts.
