Chapter 53

Lottie’s POV

Ember blocked me out as soon as she took over our body, last night. She must have had a great time, seen as my body is throbbing. Everywhere just seems to ache. What was she doing? Then again, do I really want to know?

What I do know is that I am lying on the ground naked when I wake up next to Maddox. Who is also naked. When I start to move, he wakes up. “How are you feeling?” I ask him as he sits up. “Well Xavier, is exhausted. I doubt he will give me any trouble today. He has told me that he has met his match with Ember.”

“I don’t know what to say to that. All I know is she is feeling satisfied, or that is the feeling she is giving me anyway.” We both laugh. Maddox helps me stand up as I seem to struggle. Today is supposed to be about me and Maddox, but I am not sure my body will cope. Ember has worn it out. “I finally got the night with my mate that I wanted,” she says.
