Hunter 10: Familiar Silver Eyes

I had been accustomed to waking up between two and three in the morning. I’m used to it, and it was caused by my mother’s final will. Still, another dream was luring me up at this hour after I remembered the first one. That’s all I remember: a man with silver eyes.

That yearning expression in those silver eyes as they stare at me. With a groan, I headed to the kitchen to fetch some water, but before I got there, I realized it was pouring outside. I didn’t notice it was pouring fiercely since I was preoccupied with my dream.

I embraced myself, silently begging not to have power interruption. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always had a slight fear of the dark. I can manage this fear, but there are moments when I can’t. I drank water right away before deciding to walk outside and distract myself.

I could check with the front desk to see whether there was a storm through the telephone, but I felt stifled in my hotel room, so I went outdoors instead. My hand is
