‘Alpha Theo, this is Sebastian Coldwater. I needed to speak to you immediately.’ The mindlink paused for a moment. ‘It’s about Brynn’s safety.’

Those words were the only reason that I had agreed to meet up with the little bitch in the middle of the damn night. I was still stuck on how he had frightened her that day on her porch. It was not okay for anyone to do that.

‘Come to my suite. Let me know when you’re here,’ I told him.

I looked down at my sleeping beauty, smiling at how peaceful she looked. I was just incredibly thankful that she was willing to give me a chance to prove myself to her. There was nothing I would not do to keep her safe and happy.

I kissed Brynn’s head and tried to sneak out of bed because I did not want to wake her. She had been through so much lately and deserved a good night’s rest.
