Tanya’s POV

I left Tristan’s place in fury, I tried so hard to understand his reasons for not wanting to mark me but my mind couldn’t think of anything. “Was everything I read in that book wrong? He needs me to be stronger and more focused and I am willing to give myself freely to him” I thought to myself. Tears rolled down my cheeks due to the ache my heart suffered. He didn’t even run after me when I left the house, he didn’t care?

A car horn blared behind startling, I smiled and turned around hoping to see him. The smile faded immediately and I saw Tarrell instead of Tristan. He stepped down from the car and walked up to me.

“What went wrong?” Tarrell asked.

“Nothing, I don’t wanna talk about it.” I answered almost immediately.

“C’mon Tanya, we’ve gone past this phase, you can talk to me.” Tarrell asked again.

“He doesn’t want me, okay? Tristan doesn’t want me.” I shouted. Tarrell's eyes blinked suggesting he was confused. He looked at me and chuckled.

“Tanya, you don’t understand.
