Tristan’s POVTarrell drove me back home and made sure to be quiet all through the drive, looking at my temperament when I dashed out of Tanya’s apartment, he understood the message and knew I needed him to remain silent. He kept eyeing me through the rearview mirror hoping that I’d say something but I didn’t, I was too angry to talk.“What happened there? Tarrell finally asked, earning a glare from me to him.“Just keep quiet and drive.” I angrily responded.“Sorry…” He said with his eyes rolling. Tarrell stepped on the accelerator and in no time, we were home. I stepped down from the car and walked inside still thinking about how he tried to touch my woman, my own woman. My heart was almost jumping out of my chest with absolute jealousy and anger.“Oh, we had a bad day,” Adeline said, carefully reading my face. As I made no attempts to answer her, she looked further at Tarrell, her eyes screaming ‘what happened?’ Tarrell answered her in the same way by gesturing ‘I don’t know’ with
Tristan had a series of meetings with the elders of the pack and they kept emphasising the importance of Luna. Since they were oblivious to the alpha finding a new mate, they advised him to pick a wife from any of the elders’ families. A week passed by swiftly and he had not found the courage to go with her after the last incident, he was already considering rejecting her and picking a new wife like the elders suggested, maybe that way, he would be able to save her from harm and the impending outbursts of his pack members. This made him devastated, not seeing her drove him insane and Sky stopped talking to him too. He was sad and downtrodden. Tristan’s POVAs much as I wanted to stay away from her, I didn’t stop Tarrell from giving me updates about her itinerary. What did she eat? Where was she? Who was she with? What was she doing? He updated me on everything. I was in a meeting with the alpha of Harmony pack when my phone silently beeped revealing a call from Tarrell on the screen.
Tanya’s POVMy heart ached at the way I spoke to him, but then again, he had no right to tell me who to and who not to be with. It was two days after we had that conversation at the ice cream shop and the words kept occupying my thoughts. He spoke that day with so much sincerity and tenderness and I almost melted into his soul. I liked him a lot and what I felt towards him was a lot more intense than what I felt for Orion. I sat on my bed flipping through a book when Denise walked in carrying a cup of coffee.“Tanya, we need to talk about something important,” Denise said, giving me a serious look. Immediately I dropped the book and turned to her attentively.“I’m all ears,” I replied.“Ryan, he likes you a lot. I have never seen him act the way he is with anyone before.” Denise said.“But Denise, I don’t feel the same way. My heart thinks of someone else, my whole body calls out for him when he’s not here.” I replied.Denise let out a heavy sigh and took a sip from the coffee cup. Sh
Tarrell had successfully shifted but couldn’t connect with his wolf; his body was too weak to continue with the process, and he had even passed out after he shifted back to his human form. The rogue attacks on the pack were becoming more alarming, the threats were heightening too, and they simply were looking for a weakness on their alpha’s end so they could capitalise on luckily Tristan had none that they knew of. Tanya’s existence was still oblivious to them.Tristan got up early and drove over to the southern borders where an attack was recently carried out, three of his men were killed by the rogues who left a note that read “WE WILL END YOU.” He cursed under his breath.“Assholes, fucking assholes.” Tristan groaned in anger. “How many were they?” Tristan asked one of the guards. “Fifteen, there were fifteen of them. They came in their human forms and their faces were covered with masks.” He answered.“Alpha, we need to do something about these attacks, they are becoming too much an
The darkness felt heavy and almost uncanny, the birds of the night made screeching sounds, and the slim man wearing a black hoodie and black pants in casual yet hasty strides walked into the forest, stomping his strong feet on the bushes that tried to distract his movement. The men he was coming to see stood in a circle wearing black clothes with their faces covered with masks.“What do you have for us? Their leader asked.“Nothing yet, he has no nothing.” He answered.“The instructions given to you were to find his bloody weakness, we are running out of time. Except of course you no longer care about your family?” The leader threatened, causing him to panic.“Please Sir, you don’t hurt my family, give me a few days and I will bring you what you want.” He begged. “A few days you have then. He paused for a little and continued. “How is she? The leader asked, sounding a bit softer.“She is fine, she has made a few friends.” He answered. The men let out a little growl that settled only
The attacks by rogues subsided and finally, Tristan could breathe, he feared the attacks might continue and end up causing a lot of harm to the people. Although he didn’t completely give up on the idea of them coming back, maybe they just went back to re-strategize because all their efforts to penetrate ShadowClaw turned futile.Tristan decided to use that period when the rogues went mute to woo his human mate and even make Luna before things got bad again. He needed all the strength he could get for the battle ahead should the rogues come back. Tarrell was still struggling to connect with his wolf. All he needed was a pleasant trigger that could force his wolf out. Thus, he had to go back to her, his mate, whom he had met only once. She was the only person who could give him that but unfortunately, Denise didn’t want to have anything to do with him, and she wanted to mate less. Her decision made Tarrell dejected, usually, people derived joy in finding and being with their mates but h
Tanya’s POVThe day was quite eventful, Tristan and I spent time together and I loved every bit of it. He was warm, easygoing, considerate, and very good-looking, it wasn’t hard at all loving him. He got me a new phone and I couldn’t be happier. When we got his house or villa as he would rather refer to it, I was in complete awe of what I saw, the compound was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the Greek Villa paint rested softly on the house. The villa from all ramifications was characterised by luxury and style. His lounge had a sleek floor with a clean finish. The throw pillows and blankets incorporated warmth, and the burnt orange curtains trailed down the floor in grandeur. The living room’s clutter-free space promoted relaxation and a peaceful ambiance, I just couldn’t stop staring. A piece of art with a unique sculpture hung steadily on the wall. For a moment, I wondered what it was that he did for a living.A voice sent me out of my awe, I turned around and saw an older lady
Tristan’s POV“What? Don’t you find me attractive enough to want to fuck me? She yelled. I stared in disbelief at her question, but I understood why she felt so, I always pulled out in the middle of a heated make out session. She was driving me insane, how I wish she understood what I was going through. I wanted her more than she could imagine, taking her meant marking her and I didn’t want her to go through such pain.“Tanya, I want to fuck you, so bad and so fucking hard. I want to feel you from inside, I want to hear you scream my name, Tanya, I…burn for you.” I said and walked out. The lust that burned in me was still intense and I would’ve bent her over that table and fucked the life of her so I ran out. I stepped into the shower immediately I walked into my room, I needed the heat that built up in my body to go away. Sky was raging profusely too. I stayed in the water for an hour when headed to my office when I was done. Going through the files and reports they brought in, my b
Tristan's POV. In a short matter of time, my men and I were at the Old Nights Villa. As usual, the house looked deserted and with the thick eeriness that covered the whole place, it took only the strong minded to go close. The house had been labeled haunted hence unapproachable since I was a young boy and I hadn't been here too. We were all ready to go in and fight to redeem our pack and take my mate back home with me. I turned and signalled my men to go ahead and surround the house while Tarrell and I stayed back. We headed into the house after my men had all taken their respective positions. As we stepped into the house, the eeriness followed. The living room was filled with dust and cobwebs, making it look deserted. Even with the eerie outlook of the room, I could still feel the presence of someone else hovering steadily in the room. "Someone is in here, I can feel it." Tarrell said as though he read my mind."You can feel it too..." I turned to him and said. "It's easy to fi
TristanAs regards the information we got from Tanya and her friends, the rogues who caused all the trouble for me were still very much in my pack and I had to plan discreetly before taking them out. I gathered my men in the meeting area outside my office space and after having a brief one with them, I turned to the rest of my men.“As you all know, we have found a way to tune down the phenomenon that has threatened our peace over the last few days and we have our Luna to thank for that. But that is not all, I have some interesting news to share.” I could see the cheerfulness on their faces but that was until I spoke again. “An interesting news that is a bit disturbing thus, we need to handle it immediately. The rogues are in our pack. They have been running their affairs secretly from the Old Nights Villa.” The announcement came to them as a shock, it was evident from the way they exchanged questionable glances at each other. The gazes were accompanied with murmuring. “Now I blame
Tanya's POVI woke up with a loud headache, looking around, all I could see was darkness. Only then did I remember that I had been captured by those strange men and my driver was killed."Help! Help!!" I cried out. I heard footsteps approaching and I shouted again. "Help!" The door opened revealing a tall figure, at least from where I sat, he was tall. The light shone through the door into the room. "Who are you and why did you bring me here? Where is this place?" I asked the man who walked in.The man said nothing and just stood there watching me. Moments later, I heard the sound of a phone tapping like he was about to call someone. "She is awake, I heard him say to whoever it was that he called. "I am coming there now." The other man said from the other end of the phone. I was consumed with fear at that moment, I covered my hands over my chest as though I was trying to stop my heart from escaping my body. The small hairs across my body stood on end as tingle rushed across my s
Orion’s POVWe waited at the house while my men went into the pack as usual to spread out the substance. It was past the time they usually returned and that was when anxiety set in. I stood outside the balcony pacing and looking out for them. I heard footsteps approaching and I immediately hid behind the pillar, I took out my knife and waited for whoever it was to come. I peeped through to see who it was as he approached. It was one of my men, he was injured badly. Even without asking, I knew something wasn’t right.“What happened? Where are the rest of your men? I impatiently asked. He didn’t say anything and just fell to the ground. Taking a closer look at him, I saw that he was beaten on the neck. “I’m asking you a damn question.” I yelled at him as I was running out of patience. “They were killed and they took the rest of them. We have a problem. The substance is no longer working and from what we gathered, the Alpha’s mate concocted an antidote and all the pack members took i
Tristan’s POVDarkness spread all over the place and the time had also gone too. I entered the room to meet her curled up in a duvet. She was already asleep. She had been working all through the day and she needed sleep. I walked over and sat on the bed beside her. I gently pushed away the strands of hair that covered her face. She batted her eyes and slowly opened them then smiled sweetly. "Hey!" She greeted me."Hey Princess." I responded. She gently sat up with her back leaning to the bed frame. "I'm sorry I slept off, I was too tired. How did it go?" She asked with her sleep filled eyes and voice. "It's okay, I need you to sleep too, you had a long day...and, it went well, we were able to distribute the substance to the people. Thank you Tanya, this is by far the greatest thing anyone has ever done for me." I was really grateful. "We were made for each other, so whatever pain you feel, I feel it too, your people are mine and I will be here to help in any and every way I can."
Tristan's POV Gathering the people wasn't going to be an easy task but I was going to get it done regardless. As we drove further into the pack, I brought my phone out and placed a call to Tarrell. "Get the men ready and hurry to the houses closer to the borders, assemble all of them at the old pack house. Let every living soul Shadowclaw pack be there, young and old, male and female. Do it now!" I ordered. I ended the call and sat back in the seat. I couldn't lie, my body was shaking. The emotions that engulfed me at that point were intense in every level, relief and fear spread through my insides too."We will stop by the house, Princess, you won't be joining us. It's too risky for you and the..." I halted immediately. She didn't know it yet and that wasn't the best time to break such news to her. Immediately she looked at me with confused eyes, she knew I wanted to say something but I decided not to. "Is everything okay Tristan?" She quietly asked. In order not to lie to her
Tanya’s POVI entered his office and there he was sitting in his chair with his back to the door, anybody who saw him that way would know he had so much on his mind. I had to talk to my friends, we had a curing chemical, and we needed to bring it out immediately. I walked over to him and stood right in his face, he sighed heavily immediately he saw. His eyes were puffed and swollen, he had obviously cried so much. I thought about so many things to do to make him but nothing was coming to mind. I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. It made him soften up a little. “Take him to the fountain, he will feel better.” The voice in me said and I was going to do just that. “Come with me.” I held his hand and he obediently stood and followed after me. I gestured at one of the guards to get into the car and drive. He sat there quietly all through the drive but his hand held onto mine so tight while I gently rubbed it.The guard followed my instruction and after a few minutes of d
Tarrell’’s POVThe night was old, the moon hung low in the sky and basked in its full glory. The pack was quiet, everybody had gone to bed too. I was about to go to bed too when I heard loud growling of the wolves, there was trouble and we had to rush to see what it was immediately. As I rushed out, Tristan was already rushing out.“What was that?” I asked.“I think they are trouble. Alert the men, we are heading out into the city now.” He ordered and I began to mind link the guards. We didn’t waste any time, we shifted immediately and allowed our wolves to take control and immediately they did, we ran into the woods heading towards the direction we felt the wolves’ scent coming from.We got there and saw dead bodies on the ground. Their eyes, nose, ears and mouth were all covered with blood. They were killed by the chemical. One of them was still breathing, Tristan rushed to her. “What happened?” He anxiously and furiously asked.“We…were partying…and suddenly, everybody became di
Tanya’s POVAfter a heated bath, we dressed up and headed out together. Adeline had already set the table for breakfast. She stood by waiting for us while Tarrell had already begun eating. There were four other men standing by the door, they were in all black and looked rather scary. “Good Morning Adeline…Morning Tarrell.” I cheerfully greeted them. “Morning Luna, how was your sleep?” Adeline asked. The look she gave me was rather odd, her eyes made me feel there was more to it but I waved it off, maybe she was just worried about me passing out last night.“It was fine Adeline, thank you for taking care of me last night, Tristan told me.” “It’s nothing my dear.” She humbly said.“Hi Tarrell.” I greeted again when I didn’t hear his response.“Hi Luna… How was your night and most especially your morning?” Tarrell teasingly asked, he definitely had his ears in our room. My face blushed pink with embarrassment.“And what is that supposed to mean?” Tristan looked at him and asked.“Oh!
