Carla

Slipping on her skimpy red dress and red lipstick, playing with her long curled hair as she sussed herself out in her full-length mirror. Carla grinned and winked at herself. She then grabbed her handbag and was making her way down the stairs when she heard her mother cry. She stopped at the top of the stairs, listening to her father on the phone.

"Are you sure? Oh, no...how is Angel coping?... Not speaking? Well, I can't blame my poor baby....of course, we can, I'll book the flights right now. H-how is the baby?"

Carla covered her mouth, stifling a gasp. Angelica is pregnant?! Carla clenched her teeth. So, first her 'mate' rejects her and now she's pregnant? More excuses to get attention! Carla didn't pity her little sister as she believed her little sister was acting out, trying to be perfect for their mother and father, trying to compensate for Carla's beauty - as Carla always believed.

Carla walked careful

Angelica"Isn't there anything she can do?" Grandma asked my Grandpa in hushed voices, thinking I wasn't paying attention as I stared blankly out the window."I've researched every possible angle, every possibility, there's nothing she can do without risking being exiled or sentenced to death. Only someone of Royal blood can help her and they, too, are a part of the council so they will side with the Black family.""Surely there must be something, anything - he left her, for Goddess sake!" Grandma shrieked."It doesn't matter, she carries the heir to the Black family. However it went down, she will be at a disadvantage."Silence hung in the air until my grandma whispered so low I almost didn't hear. "Abortion?""Shh!!" Grandpa hissed. "Do you know what would happen to her if she even considered that?! If it was anyone else's pup, no one would bat an eyelash - but a Black's pup? A Council's pup?""You're right

October 6th, 2013~5 weeks pregnant~AngelicaGrandma and Grandpa left my bedside reluctantly when I told them I would be fine on my own for the night which gave Garcia a chance to tell Lu what was happening and for them to sneak into my ward to talk about the plan. Garcia had gathered seventy-five thousand dollars and put it into a new bank account under the new name she gave me: Felicity Walters. When I asked her how and where she got the money she just shrugged and muttered something about an inheritance. She didn't seem like she wanted to talk about it so I let it be while she gave me a new passport, drivers licence, ID card, fake birth certificate, etc, and gave me the new city I was going to live in. Paris. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't going to Spain, but there are a lot of Werewolves which live all over Spain and Paris has the lowest count o

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Eleven

October 17th, 2 weeks later~7 weeks pregnant~AngelicaI tap my fingers against my knee, silently drumming away as I waited for the lady at the desk to call my name. I’m not usually an impatient person, but I have been sitting in their waiting room for over an hour now – and this wasn’t even the worst part of my day. This morning I missed my alarm so I was late for a job interview and had to reschedule for this afternoon (and the boss wasn’t happy about that), I then missed my taxi so I had to walk home which took me an hour and then I get bad stomach pains which are freaking me out so I made an appointment to see a doctor (one that can speak English) and now they’re making me wait over an hour when I could be losing my baby! How messed up! I know it would have been easier to see a Werewolf doctor, but I’m nowhere near one (not that I want

  • His Hidden Child   Chapter Twelve

Dmitri ValentineDmitri wondered through the lively city of Paris, wrapping his coat around him as a chilly wind brushed his cheeks. It was late afternoon yet the coldness had yet to subside. Most of Dmitri's morning consisted of his mother trying to introduce him to the 'lovely' Amelia Keegan while his father was lecturing him on how to be a strong King. When Dmitri finally managed to get away from his parents, he had this Amelia girl attempting to call him on his phone, annoyed that his mother had the audacity to give his number to her. Mindlessly wandering into a cafe, Dmitri felt a tiny body collide with his. "Ouch!" A tiny, sweet voice yelped and he saw a dainty looking woman on the ground, rubbing her backside, her lips pursed angrily at him as she gestured to her coat. "I usually like to drink my coffee, not wear it."Dmitri stared at her. He took in her looks as if she were his own reflection in a mirror. Her red hair framed her face i

Nina BlackA name once remembered with admiration, respect and love by the Black family and their pack. She was an ambitious woman who was witty and firm yet was loving, funny and the most gentle and sweet mother to her pups. Nina was a precious gem amongst worthless pebbles and she was cherished and respected greatly, even in the Council by the people in the Council. Now, when her name is even whispered the harsh, callous memories of her madness brought fear into the hearts of many, even the Elders’. It was one of the reasons why the Black family were so feared, even though they’re still cruel and merciless, it was Nina who stained their name with blood.Nina was what the Werewolves called a Moon Wolf because she harboured powers similar to their Moon Mother, the Moon Goddess. She could heal wounds using the magic in her blood, she could use the same magic the Witches use, she could see the life one lived just b

GabrielGabriel stood a far distance away from the Werewolves so they couldn't smell his scent as they lowered his mates' casket. Angelica was apparently dead, he thought suspiciously. His lip tilted up in one corner as he smirked, suspecting foul play. If she had really died, he would have felt it. Because, even though he left her, he never actually rejected her properly; so their souls are still bound. If she died, he would have felt the cut, a burning knife to his chest.A whole pack, perhaps five maybe six hundred Werewolves, stood around the lowering casket, all wearing white, as is tradition - he could venture no further. Even though they would not dare kill a member of the Black family, his trespassing is enough to ignite a battle. Although Gabriel could care less about those pitiful excuses for Werewolves, he knew Angel cared for them and he didn't want to hurt her anymore. He was scanning the people, his eyes roam

Angelica (Felicity)"Where are we going," I asked as I gazed wide-eyed out the window of the limo, admiring Paris as the city was beginning to light up beautifully.Dmirti chuckled as he watched me. His body next to mine, only a whisper of space between us. "It is a surprise, my dear. Drink?""Um, sure""What would you like? Red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, champaign - we have everything." Dmitri passed me a tall, thin flute and chose a sparkling rosè, the light pink bubbling substance filling my glass and I couldn't help but feel spoilt - I've never had sparkling wine before, let alone a sparkling rosé. I felt very fancy. I delicately placed the rim of the glass to my lips and took a small sip. "Wow! That's delicious!""Have you never had sparkling rosè before?""I've never sparkling wine before," I replied before I took another small sip. Dmitri's throaty chuckle filled my e

GabrielIt took five hours, but the girl finally cracked. AngelicaMy mother once scolded me with tears in her eyes when she pulled my tiny body away from a crumbling cliff. I remember that day so vividly, the way her face was a mixture of terror and fury. DmitriHe’d only just started walking towards the hospital wing of the Sanctuary to see his Angel and here, right in front of him, Gabriel stood. Dmitri once had the instinctive urge to beat that man into a pulp, but now he couldn’t care less. He realized the man was too broken to be much of a threat now.“Are you going to go see her?” Gabriel asked quietly, his hands fiddling by his sides.Dmitri nodded. “Yes, she needs me now more than ever.” He ran a hand through his hair before he shoved his hands in his pockets, carefully watching the other man in front of him. MaxThe dark, eerie sky littered with gloomy dark clouds, a sad feeling settled in his stomach. The dim light from the moon caught his eye as he stood on a balcony high above and he thought about the Moon Goddess, why She chooses Werewolves mates, their destiny and if She would be angry if they were to choose their path, their ending? Although he knew that Werewolves and Lycan's shared some qualities, traits and genes, he knew the vast differences would make a Werewolf/Lycan pairing difficult. Werewolves have longer lifespans than humans though they have significantly shorter lifespans than Lycan's. Lycan's weredesignedto live for around three or four hundred years, so the Royal family can rule without heirs being changed every 40/50 years. Werewolves were lucky if they could make it to a hundred- and fifty-years-old. The lifespan alone makes his stomach drop. Max wasn't sure why he was even

CarlaShe looked around the forest, the beautiful rays of sunlight peeking through the leaves left her skin warm and radiating. The calm, cool water surrounding her feet soothed her aching bones and she patted through the river, a serene smile gracing her features. Not a care in the world as the wind gently lifted her hair, playing with it happily as she continued to walk through the river, letting the water rise up to her calves and giggling as it tickled her. She heard distant voices behind her. She turned to see her parents and her grandparents, smiling and waving at her. She laughed and waved back. They were shouting at her to come back, waving her over with excitement. She didn’t want to, she wanted to stay in the water a little bit longer. She enjoyed the cool, tickling feeling of the water as it rose again to above her knees. She gazed at the water, watching the ripples

A white ceiling above him greeted him, the glow of the light flickered for a second as he realized he was in a hospital bed. His thoughts were scattered as he slowly became more conscious of his situation and he wondered how he got there. He didn’t remember how he got here or who had helped him. He remembered how he crawled through the bloody hallway, agony encasing his entire body as he moved inch by inch but after collapsing it all goes blank from there. He had thought for sure that he was going to die and, if he were honest, he accepted that. He knew after everything that he had done he didn’t deserve to live. So, how did he get here?He barely recollected the distant voices moments before he passed out and while he was lost

AngelicaI didn’t know where I was. With the white walls surrounding me and medical tools on a table next to me, I knew I was in some sort of hospital but where? One second I was in this weird bedroom, and Lu looked at me with murder in his eyes and the next Carla, and I was in this large hall resembling a cathedral.I felt a crippling stabbing pain shoot up my back, my sister’s comforting words fading in and out as building pressure in my head caused me to scream, reminding me that I was wheeled away with people shouting and my sister squeezing my hand tightly. “I-I c-can’t do this, Carla,” I sobbed as the pain rippled up my spine once again and an urge to push swirled through my stomach. Tears soaked the pillow under me as I leaned my head back.My sister gently wiped my tears away as someone, whom I assumed was a doctor, placed a hand on Carla’s shoulder before she spoke. “If we a
