Author’s POV “ You know who’s my husband ? “ Jenny’s eyes were all fixed on Ryan who was driving impatiently, because he wanted to reach home as soon as possible as every second being with her was making him want her more. He doesn’t know if it’s because he’s seeing her after two whole weeks or it’s because she’s drunk and probably isn’t in her senses at all and she randomly sings or yells then laughs like there’s no tomorrow, that makes him keep looking at her risking both of their lives. He needs to focus on driving but she was the reason that he shouldn’t focus on the road but on her. Clutching the steering wheel tight he tried to look ahead but his mind begged him to take a look at her, and he did. She leaned on the car door as her eyes were still on him, waiting for him to answer. Her skin was bare, no trace of makeup. The pale skin and those little red bumps of pimples around her cheeks and forehead reflected the stress she is carrying. Those dark, sunken eyes could tell tho
Ryan’s POV The clock struck at 1:53 AM, the room was so silent that even the sound of winds entering inside the room through the window could be audible. Lights were off, thankfully otherwise it would have been more awkward for me. Thinking about the fact that, all these while she knew that it’s me and yet she was playing around and i like an idiot, kept going along with her makes me feel embarrassing now. “ I had to pretend to get these few hours with you otherwise you would have dropped me to my home, and left without looking back…..wouldn’t you ?” her question seemed right, if she was in her senses and had not pretend like she didn;t knew me i would have definitely got rid of her as soon as possible, because each second i spend with her makes me yearn for more time with her which isn’t resistable at all. “ See, now even you can’t answer…..because you don’t have an answer….not for this….not for any of my questions Ryan “ she looked deep into my eyes, with those tear shading e
Author’s POV Jenny couldn’t believe what she heard, she turned numb for a few seconds and it took some time to sync what he said. She couldn’t ask any questions, as if she forgot how to form a word. With her eyes wide open and staring at him for what she couldn’t figure out but he did, as he continued to speak. “ Freddy, was a colleague who became a friend of my father….” he slowly began, with his eyes turning glossy. “ Freddy was somewhat the same age as my father and I used to address him as Uncle,.....i’ve seen him few times with my father……he had no family…..he was bachelor …despite of being in his late forties…..he never dated any woman…and when peoples would ask him way he would say he loves being alone, and enjoys his own company….it was weird..but peoples believed him…because apart from staying alone nothing about him seemed suspicious to peoples….he was fine living his life alone…..yet I didn't share much bond with him as I would hardly speak to anyone those days. F
Ryan’s POV I could feel my heart beat rising as soon as my eyes fell on Freddy who was seated on the couch, with his legs placed on the table in front of him. His both hands spreaded wide on the couch handles as he looked back at me tilting his head. “ hi Ryan, wassup ?” he smiled nonchalantly. I asked “ why are you here again ?” scanning the room in a snap second i made sure that i have access to the door and any other things that i pick quickly and hit him with in self defence if incase he tries to harm me. Even though I was expecting some sort of apology from him for the thing he tried to do last time, I couldn’t trust him blindly. He smirked “ well, i thought you know why i’m here “ “ Huh ? you’re here to say sorry….aren’t you ?” And he let out a loud laugh as if he was laughing at me. I shrugged and tried to calculate the distance between me and the main door so that if he does anything this time I can run out of the house. He creeps me out, that i have to think
Ryan's POV * * * With a snap of finger, i came back to present, Jenny was beside me, her concern filled eyes waiting for me to continue further. “ i..uh…he said…that it was my father who offered him to……” I looked down in humiliation, not able to contain my pain and tears. She held my hands, smoothing gentle words. I paused for a few seconds and continued again “ he said that it was my father who put an offer of he can have me for once…….i didn’t wanted to believe him….but what he said was….i don’t know who to trust….my father had lost my trust long ago….and freddy wasn’t someone who’s words i could trust…..i was confused….horrified and disgusted…..but the moment he stood near me something provoked me….or the fear triggered me….i end up showing the kitchen in his stomach…..he fall down clutching his stomach and blood started oozing out…..he was crying out of pain…..begging me for helping him……slowly the floor was covering in his blood….his eyes were rolling back and forth
Author’s POV The sun is bright, and the sunlight is warm and not harsh. The birds keep chirping, and the breeze is cool. The light danced through the gap in the drapes, illuminating the far wall that was covered in the prints and magazine cut-outs he Had put up earlier. The room was warmed by the morning sun, welcoming me into the new day. As my toes met the worn, oak floors, Jenny stretched her arms, feeling every muscle in my body awaken, relishing in the horribly-great moment of the stretch “ Good morning, “ said Jenny as soon as Ryan opened his eyes after a long peaceful sleep. Last night both of them had so much of emotional baggages to get rid off and the process drained them till early morning and by the time they fall asleep beside each other. Ryan was emotionally exhausted after all the guilt trip and describing the reason behind his traumas. Suddenly he was feeling very light, that sleep no more felt like a hard task for him. Infact it was most deepest sleep he ever ha
Author’s POV The featherly soft movements of curtains due to the blowing winds made a rhythmic sound enhancing the peaceful moment with a pinch of smoothing sound. It was past brunch time yet Jenny and Ryan were still in bed, wrapped in warm blankets while their nakedness danced on each other’s skin. It’s been half an hour since their passionate-quick love making session happened and from then both of them laid in utmost silence, cherishing each other’s skin lazily. Even though none of them spoke for a while yet the moment was truly content for them. Overcoming his phobia seemed like the first step of moving on from his past, and both of them were overwhelmed by the progress he made. It give them hope for sure, and just like the that the moment felt enough without any word exchanged between them for a while. “ Ryan…” It was jenny who broke the long endring silence between them ganing his attention as he hummed. She turned, placing her hands on his bare chest, then put her ch
Author’s POV Life seemed way more easier than it was before for Ryan once he let her treat the child in him with comfort and care. The child in him was broke, terrored and had a hard time convincing himself that it’s not too bad being attached to people, it’s never too bad to let someone see his wounds and vulnerabilities. Things become easy for him to communicate with when he actually stopped letting the fear take control over his life. And with passing days he realised that it’s never too late to live the life he missed. It’s been two months since Ryan and Jenny found their way back to each other again. He couldn’t deny the fact that all those hard times and tears it took when he came up with his vulnerabilities and darkest secrets to expose himself in front of her, which really did release a huge amount of burden from his shoulders. Adding to that, he could see the visible changes in him that allows him to breath without questioning his worth and existence. The new found po
