Lee slammed the door behind him as he entered his home, his face twisted in rage. He had just returned from a meeting with Lord Loc, and he was furious that his advice had been ignored. He had tried to warn him about the danger of trusting Hunter.

“You would be making a very grave mistake by trusting him, my lord. He is but a stranger, one that leaves us with no trace of his past,” he had said to him, sounding very convincing.

Lord Loc had looked at him for long, surprised at his sudden and dramatic disapproval of Hunter, the very person he had, a couple of weeks ago, spoken lavishly about, convincing him that he was worth keeping with the pack.

“Why do you hate him? Is there more than you speak?,” he asked Lee, his voice calm.

“I do not hate him, my lord. I am only worried that he has so easily warmed his way into your heart. You have chosen to pay more attention to the things he says tonyou than you do mine. I worry that he is a spy, a traitor, or worse, a hunter who seeks preys. I
