The atmosphere was beginning to grow heavy; it was near heart shattering, it was unnerving. It was starting to be highly uncomfortable, with Lylia’s words being of impact in Crystal’s heart. It was silent, and Crystal was having a mental debate on what she has to do, how was she supposed to continue this conversation?
Should she not have brought this conversation up in the first place?
Should she have just kept quiet about her matter and stuck up with her own misery which they are not supposed to be a part of in the first place?
“L-Lylia, I didn’t mean to make you think like so. Of course, this is n
That night, the girls all left an hour later. They claimed to have other things which they are both in need to accomplish, and couldn’t stay longer anymore. Crystal watched as the vehicle in which her friends rode on, soon, zoomed out of the villa gates as she gazed on her bedroom window. She felt bad for making them feel so bad about themselves, that isn’t really her main aim to accomplish in the first place. Instead of lightening the weight on her shoulders, she just gained a misconception that dug her deeper into the pit of disagreement. She knew that they were not busy, just earlier, they wanted to have a sleep over with her at her room. But suddenly, they left saying that they have other things which they ar
The sun was so bright high up in the sky, clouds were vague yet not enough to cause any signs of bad weather or whatsoever. The garden’s greenery was bright and beaming with its natural pigmented color, and the flowers were blooming at the direction of the sun’s warm rays of light. Flocks and pairs of colorful birds sat on branches and any lengthy medium which they can dangle on and sung their melodious music of nature despite the neighborhood being fully furnished for human society. Maids and servants wandered around, some with watering pots and the other, with supplies. The gardeners of the villa were there to tend to the plants and ensure their youthful care. Flowers of various types such as marigolds, roses, lilies and even daffodils are all around, if it were only to be considered, the place could have been a great hang-out place or a park for couples and family to wander around and to gaze around the beautiful
The talk didn’t last long, and they were once again engulfed in complete silence. Crystal no longer had the will to argue with the man anymore, since anything she says will only be disagreed upon on by the man. The traffic wasn’t too bad, but they wasted a good one hour waiting for the traffic to lighten and move to where they are ought to go. It was around 10:30 that time, an hour and a half from lunchtime. She doesn’t know where they will go or what they will have, but she chose to stay quiet than to ask such queries that could lead to more unnecessary conversations. It wasn’t long until Antony finally spoke up as another traffic caused his driving to be ceased from potential movement. He cleared his throat lightly before gazing over at the woman after realizing that the traffic would probably be long
“You’re insane…” Crystal spoke out, barely audible but clear enough for the man to hear. The man snickered, proud of his work, not until the sound of his phone ringing distracted both of them into silence. He held his phone, answered, and held it close to his ear. “Hello? Ah, yes, Mr. Fred—what is that? I understand, I’ll be there as soon as possible.” He spoke, hanging up and gazing over at the woman sorrowfully. “I apologize, something came up at work, I need to leave.” He said, signaling at a distance until a couple of men in black came, all are wearing suits of black with matching black tinted sunglasses.
It didn’t take long before the relaxing evening of the girls were cut short by the emergency agendas which they are required to attend to, specifically, both Lylia and Mylene. Crystal didn’t mind, after all, she is generally just that busy. She no longer felt the need, nor the will to stay there any longer, she headed home right after Lylia and Mylene left. This was something bothersome to Crystal, the boredom. Cristopher is still not answering her calls, nor does she receive any calls from the man, even if it has something to do with the mission. The mission. Yes, this is all just a mission, but she nearly forgot about that fact if it weren’t for the thought of Cristopher. Well, would they be this tensed if she had not taken that mission? If she had not told Cristopher about her feelings towards Antony? Will Cristopher be serious in… Trying to be hers? For them to be an item? Two pairs? She just couldn’t picture herself in that scenario. It’s not that she d
Their visit from the doctor was cut short as Antony had emergency meetings which was conveniently given to him at this moment. Crystal didn’t mind, she actually thought it was better to not meet eyes with the man for far too long than she should be in her state. The doctor prescribed her some oral meds that could possibly solve her stomach ache problems. They didn’t see anything wrong with her, probably, she must’ve eaten something bad or anything along those lines. In the end, Crystal offered to go home and rest—which Antony had his bodyguards take her home in sophisticated care. Crystal could’ve laughed all day long if it weren’t for her aching stomach, the man looked greatly troubled wh
Silence once again engulfed the two figures into a suffocating silence. She could clearly see the disappointment that flooded his eyes, though, he refused to show it as he adverted his gaze. The joy and enthusiasm from earlier now ceased to exist in all aspects completely. “Antony… I didn’t mean to upset you, everything is just… too sudden…” she continued to explain, still trying to convince him somehow that his dark speculations are nothing but a speculation of uncertain truths. Although, she has other secrets left hidden beneath the masks of truth, they are things that he shouldn’t know at all.
The next morning, Crystal felt a lot better. Crystal was not sure if its because of the suppressing medication for stomach aches which the Valencia family doctor prescribed her, or is it that she no longer thinks about the crucial pain of her never-ending guilt which never dares to leave her lingering mind. She did the usual routine; a shower, dress up, check the old phone for any messages from Cristopher, none, nothing. The man no longer bothered to talk to her after that night, and several nights has passed. She wondered, what is the Boss doing right now? Isn’t he supposed to get feedback from Cristopher every now and then of her situation? She doesn’t understand, no news, no anything is giving her an idea of what she’s supposed to do next. Or even, what is her current objective? What are the specific commands that
