Silence once again engulfed the two figures into a suffocating silence. She could clearly see the disappointment that flooded his eyes, though, he refused to show it as he adverted his gaze. The joy and enthusiasm from earlier now ceased to exist in all aspects completely.
“Antony… I didn’t mean to upset you, everything is just… too sudden…” she continued to explain, still trying to convince him somehow that his dark speculations are nothing but a speculation of uncertain truths.
Although, she has other secrets left hidden beneath the masks of truth, they are things that he shouldn’t know at all.
The next morning, Crystal felt a lot better. Crystal was not sure if its because of the suppressing medication for stomach aches which the Valencia family doctor prescribed her, or is it that she no longer thinks about the crucial pain of her never-ending guilt which never dares to leave her lingering mind. She did the usual routine; a shower, dress up, check the old phone for any messages from Cristopher, none, nothing. The man no longer bothered to talk to her after that night, and several nights has passed. She wondered, what is the Boss doing right now? Isn’t he supposed to get feedback from Cristopher every now and then of her situation? She doesn’t understand, no news, no anything is giving her an idea of what she’s supposed to do next. Or even, what is her current objective? What are the specific commands that
The sun was beaming brightly though the glass windows that only some could bother to look at, seeping through the glass pane and shining like a beaming spotlight over the cement pavement in the empty halls. There stood Cristopher, he didn’t look too happy, he has been hearing complaints from his people like Edgar and the rest of those he tasked to take care of her. They were, in fact, taking god care of her, the only concern is the fact that the woman herself refuses to cooperate. As much as Cristopher would like to focus on his work, assigned tasks and… his personal agendas, he is forced to come here on a weekly basis just to talk some sense into this woman who refuses
“You WHAT?!” Crystal’s voice went high, it almost made everyone clasp their hands over their ears to silence out what painful sound was ringing in their heads now. It’s metaphorical in a way. Just so happened that Antony suddenly drove both Crystal and himself to the household this morning. The reason? She doesn’t know. She doesn’t know just what has got into Antony’s head for him to decide to stay in the household for what, two days? It’s normal for the spouse to stay at the family of the bride for a few days before the marriage, but this isn’t some normal family tradition or whatever.
The whole night was extremely unsettling for Crystal. Apparently, Antony just has this unformidable charm that couldn’t be helped, the charm that not only fazed her from the land of logic and reasoning, but also, her so-called ‘mother’. It would’ve been better if Antony slept elsewhere like in one of the numerous empty guest rooms that littered the whole place itself. All rooms having been disinfected and cleaned up to the greatest extent to ensure that no spectacle of dirt will cause any inconveniences or dissatisfaction from the young master. But oh, what tragic it has been when the man decided to sleep where she sleeps. The room which serves as her personal
The morning went smoothly, which is a sheer surprise as things were getting haywire as time goes on. The fear of potentially being caught, the dread and anxiousness of being near the man for too long, too close, too much. She couldn’t really pinpoint what else to think, as the man would often look her way, would stare, smile, and even whisper comments that made her heart go through leaps and bounds that she couldn’t explain. For now, she was commanded by her mother to take Anthony over to the apparel branch of theirs that is nearby, as the man was interested into seeing the business from the inside of which allowed the family to rise to this point. Not that Crystal cared, she already d
The sun was still high in the sky as lunch came, the mid-day of the day where the sun still high up and beaming its everlasting beams of warmth. Everything that the light touches, basks it in its heat as birds chirped over trees. There stood Cristopher, his frame basking in the sunlight as rays of warmth illuminated his features. He wore a pair of sunglasses; he wouldn’t want to be potentially recognized by anyone at the moment. He was out here for a reason, it was something that he normally doesn’t do, but by force, he did. Not really forced by his superior, nor was it a task given to him against his will. He got into this situation himself, for her, to make her happy.
“Mylene, dear! Can you run these files to the office before we leave? Just so the rest could focus on their tasks during our absence.” Her colleague spoke, handing her a bundle of files that weighs only half a pound with how thick the pages are. Mylene nodded with a smile. “Alright, meet you downstairs.” She replied, taking the files and heading towards the office which was just around a few turns from the halls. Mylene Haravina, being the only daughter of the country’s well-known designer, Mrs. Haravina, the young woman was tasked to help out in one of the
“Are you guys alright in there? This is the technical team, and we’re already in the process of fixing the power outage. Please remain calm, we’ll be finished shortly in ten to fifteen minutes.” The voice from the speakers built in the elevator broke the silence between both Mylene and Kenneth. None of them gave a response, although, Kenneth kept his arms securely around the female in an attempt to calm her down. She did, a few minutes ago. It was around ten minutes before the intercom rang, but until then, Kenneth could wait. He looked down on her frame, she was already quiet by that time. Not a sound leaving her throat although she was awake, just… quiet, for now.
