Flashback:-
Ashly had been asleep for four hours and Prea was getting nervous. The basement they had been locked in had no bed, only a blanket that had been thrown at her face. She had laid it out and made Ashly lay down on it. She took her coat off and made a pillow for her. She had been hesitant but the second her head pressed against the dirty clothing her eyes had closed and she fell asleep.
Pre had demanded water for when she woke up and Yanayn brought a full gallon and even some food for her and Ashly. She hadn't eaten anything and both plates were cold by now. To make matters worse, the basement was so cold she could see her breath. She was freezing but so was Ashly. Her body shivered uncontrollably and Prea was scared it was more than just the cold.
An hour had passed and Prea had no idea if it was day or night. That's when the door opened and she was blinded by a bright white flashlight. Yanyan wal
Present:-Win and Mike are not the closest of friends. They have grown an immense respect for each other, but they wouldn't survive being around one another for too long. With Win current mood, Mike was finding it difficult to not do something that might annoy him.Mike knows what's been bothering him though. Leaving Alexandra alone with Adom was troubling him. The poor women has been through a lot even Mike feared anyone or anything will come and cause more pain to her. He would fight any potential threat that may come Alexandra way, not only for Prea, but because he believes the poor girl deserves to be happy. The first though Mike had when he met Alexandra, was lonely. He remembered Alexandra hard look on him and her sarcastic and rude comments. He knew it was a cover, that Alexandra was unhappy and repressive. There was something eating her inside, Mike was always good at reading people, but Alexandra was different. He could te
Reth stood in the middle of the woods, a dozen men's around him. For a local gang to create a secret army and keep it from their leader, means it must be serious. Win and Mike stood far away not to be noticed, for the first time in his life Win decided to wait for the others as to avoid any complications. When he finally saw Pheuk bright red hair, he sighed in relief. Adom followed beside her with a proud grin on his face. That's when he saw Prea and Alexandra. Prea was excitedly rambling on about something to his bestfriend and even though it was dark, Win could see Alexandra blush through the dim light of his witch light."What's going on over there?" Mike asked as soon as Adom and Pheuk were beside them. Pheuk glanced at Win then at Adom before shaking his head."Nothing, just you know, Prea being Prea." Win stared at her, obviously knowing she was lying."What do yo-""So, what you got?" Alexandra asked in a rus
Alexnadra walked quietly around a tree. She could see Prea and Win feet away beside her, Pheuk and Adom were on her other side. Alexandra and Mike approached quietly towards the group of people's. All they had to do was get close enough to fire a gun. Adom had brought some guns which he gave all of them . He might not be too good with it, but at least it's something. They would work as a distraction, attacking from the darkness where they couldn't be spot, while the others attacked the rest. It sounded easy, all Alexandra and Mike had to do was watch over the others, but the other hadn't even taken five steps when a loud voice ran in her head."Don't waste your time, officer's." Reth spoke. "Did you really think we couldn't see you from your hiding spot?" Everyone froze. Mike gave Alexandra a nervous look but all Alexandra did was mirror her expression. "Come on guys, we've been waiting for you!" Alexsndra could see Adom approaching the grou
Alexandra ran and ran. She didn't know where she was going, or if she was running deeper into the forest or closer to city. When she finally stopped after possibly more than half an hour running. She was beside a large boulder. There was a small river, the sound of the waves crashing loudly with the rocks soothed Alexandra. The moon was her only source of light, even though she had his flashlight but she like the darkness and she didn't want to stain anything else with Reth blood. She walked to the river and leaned down to wash her hands, the water turning a light pink as it was washed away by the current. She wiped angrily at her hands before she leaned back and laid on the floor. The weather was perfect. Cold, as Alexandra liked it. It was a bit windy but she found it soothing as it blew her hair from side to side. There was a pounding of feet, but Alexandra didn't hear it because of the loud noisy river. She didn't feel or hear the figure
"Stop." A voice called out from behind her. Alexandra turned around, a stronger hold on her knife . There stood a man with a white suit, his eyes were a beautiful and slit-pupiled like a something. He was grinning, showing off his sharp pointed white teeth. "That was fun to watch.""Who the hell are you?" Alexandra asked. She knew, the man looked familiar. It was the same man he had seen at Alexander place. The same one who disappeared and never showed up again. Until now."You don't know me?" He asked honestly surprised. "Didn't Adom tell you? Your friends? Seriously, did you even ask?" Alexnadra shrugged, her gun still aimed at him."Fine." He sighed. "I'm Seb, ruler of the hole underworld." He smirked."Alexander is the ruler of hole underworld." Alexandra scoff. Seb laughed."Have you never heard of me?" Alexandra thought about it, yes she has. Seb is a Dean brother, he joined underground
Adom watched as Alexandra ran away ,he looked down at Prea, the wound hasn't yet been closed and if he didn't do something and anything happened to her, Alexandra would never forgive him."Go!" Mike yelled at him. "Pheuk can get her medical kit on her to close the wound, and we are going to take her back to your place. Go after her." Right, it will work too. So run is exactly what he did. He couldn't see her, Alexandra was too fast and he lost sight of what direction he had ran to. Adom stopped running and glanced frantically around him, hoping to catch any sight of the girl he deeply loved. He felt a hand pull him around and he came face to face with Win."I lost her." Adom whispered. Win shook his shoulders."Get yourself together, Adom! I need you to help me find her." the boy growled. Adom nodded and set off to his right. He doesn't know why but that direction seemed right to him."
"Prea?" Alexandra called out into the darkness. She had woken up in a cave. There was too much dirt around her and she barely could see. She took out her flash light and began to walk."Adom?!" She called out again. She followed towards a gloomy light, where Alexandra heard a screeching bird sound. She finally reached it to realise she was on some mountain, and she could see everything around her. The dark rocky land below, the animals lurking around. Something flew past Alexandra so closely she barely had time to react and back away. It was a bird with large wings."Where am I??" She muttered to herself. But the place felt familiar. She just didn't know from where."Don't you remember?" Alexandra swirled around and backed away, almost falling down the mountain cliff she stood on. "This is our home. You're in my save heaven." Alexander smirked."How did I get here?! What have you done to my friends!?" Alexander mere
Alexandra woke up with a gasp. She could faintly hear Win voice, Adom's. Then she felt something wet touch her forehead. Her eyes focused and she could see Prea placing a wet towel on her forehead. She looked at Prea up and down, unsure if this was a dream, part of any illusion."Hey my bestie." Alexandra hugged her. She could feel her tense in surprise before she relaxed and hugged him back. "I'm so sorry." She kept repeating but all she did was hug her tighter. "Not everything's your fault Alexandra." She pulled back to wipe her sweaty hair off her forehead."What happened?" Alexandra looked around herself, Adom was next to her on the bed, and Win was standing behind Prea."Where's Mike and Pheuk?" Win looked confused but pointed to the living room. Alexandra stood up, even though Adom tried to make her lay down."Alexandra you're not well! You have to rest." Prea whined. Eyes filled with worry.
Pheuk& WinI know it's not real. It all feels too good to be true. I look up into his eyes and I know he can't see past the way. He has a smile on his face, so big and without a worry. How should I tell him? That this isn't real and he needs to open his eyes and remember what happened. That we were in Adom's apartment and then we just appeared here. In this perfect life were everyone is happy and the people we loved and were close to us who we lost are alive. No authority, no underworld, no Don, no Alexander, no pain and misery, just a family and a life that could never and will never be. But how do I tell him? That Mike- his best friend- is a solider and not a civilian being. That he is a solider, born to defend the civilian against everything bad. That the man standing beside his grandmothermother- the one he called grandpa- is actually the man he hates the most in his life. Or that the boy with brown hair and thick gla
Prea& MikeI woke up feeling raindrops fall on my face. My head hurt and I opened my eyes to see that indeed there were raindrops falling right on me. Above me I could see the dark cloudy sky of ciry. I sat up straight and looked around me to find I was laying in the middle of the street but there were no cars or any people around, it was completely quiet. I could see something in the distance and I squint my eyes to get a better view. It was a figure, sprawled on the ground, it was a boy, brown hair an- "Mike!" I screamed and bolted up on my feet to run to his side. By the time I kneeled down beside him he was already opening his eyes and adjusting them to the blinding street lamp."Prea?" He asked, looking straight into my eyes. His eyes widened in realisation and he sat up so fast I had to move back to avoid him crashing into me. "What happened?! How did we get here?? And the others?!"He glanced around and frowned. "Are
Alexandra awoke in a forest. There was fog everywhere and she could hardly see the pines and trees let alone her feet where also hard to see. She looked around, trying hard to find Adom and her family. Instead she heard a loud roar, followed by another, and another. Then the pounding of feet and the birds shrieked."Win! Prea!!" Her heart was beating fast and her lungs felt like they were being compressed together making it hard to breath. "Adom! Adom where are you?!!" The noise got louder Alexandra could hardly hear herself scream. Then she saw a coated man walking in her direction. "Adom!! Over here!" But after she said that she noticed the figure had red hair. She couldn't see his face due to his coat covering it but she didn't need to see to know who it was. That's when Alexandra turned around and took off in a run.~~~~~~~~~~
It was 3 am and Alexandra has barely finished telling Prea, Mike, and Adom the same story she had told Win about her past. It would make everything easier to explain if they knew. They were in Adom's apartment and Mike and Pheuk had decided to stay and leave for the ceremony the next day with them."I'm glad you finally told them Alexandra." Prea smiled softly, her eyes red and teary. "But why now? You haven't told us what happened to mom yet and I know you know." Alexandra sighed and closed her eyes before continuing her explanation."Turns out the back blood in me is not gone. It's been inactive you could say. If I have one more dose of that blood, I don't know what would happen.""But that's not gonna happen." Mike- said. "Why would anyone want to continue what that guy did to you?""And how do you even know the blood is still in you?" Prea gasped. "I- is that how mom-? Did you..?"
Adom wrapped his hand around Alexandra. Their fingers interlocked and at first, Alexandra hand was limp until Adom gave her a reassuring squeeze and Alexandra tightened her grip. The headquarter was full of soldiers and authority members- including Dean.Alexnadea hasn't spoken a word since it happened. When Win and Prea had entered the living room, Yanyan was gone. It was Win who called for Adom. A simple message later, Adom walked through a door followed by his father Dean and Samnatha. He hasn't left Alexandra side since then."Alexandra." Alexandra didn't move. They were outside, Win had to physically take Alexandra away from Nora and drag her outside along with Prea who was on the stairs crying her eyes out. Beside her was Pheuk and Mike- Mike parents had arrived soon after Win called them. "If you don't tell me what happened, we won't be able to find whoever was responsible for this.""You won't find
Win left to his date with Pheuk after that. Alexandra had to drag him all the way to the door for him to leave, reassuring her friend that she will be fine and that she would help Nora sort some papers in the library. It was 5 minutes past midnight. Alexandra was in her room when she heard Nora calling for her. It was rare since Alexandra had thought Nora was asleep and she was calling for her from downstairs. Despite that he walked to the living room, knowing that was were she would most likely be at.And sure enough, there she was. A hand on her throat and her face bloody. The same boy from Alexander stood in the middle of the living room holding Nora by the throat. He had the same red gear on with the hood up.Nora stared at Alexander wide eyed, confused to what was going on but also seemed weak and unable to move."Alexandra- go, run." She shook her head incredulously at her.
"Back when I was 15, I always seeked out- I would go out all the time for long hours." Win nodded, surprised that Alexandra was even telling him. "My brothers thought I was having some fun. I wasn't, I was dating someone. He- was nice at first, but after he met Prea he was abusive. I never did anything, couldn't use my weapons because he was a civilian- I thought he was a civilian. After a while, one night-""One night we disappeared. Me and Prea." Win nodded."He locked us up in the basement. He had these eyes, they were all black. I don't remember much of what happened then, Prea would know, but I never asked her. All I remember was this agonizing pain. He injected balcl blood in me. After a while I would black out, and when I came back, he was on the ground, twisting in pain and a pile of blood around him. Prea would stare at me with fear in her eyes. And the next thing I remember was hearing loud howls and I knew i
Words can't describe what Adom felt when he left Alexandra behind. He had to ignore every inch of himself telling him to stay beside Alexandra, to fight for her. But he didn't. He doesn't know why he didn't. He trusts Alexandra, he believes in her. Alexandra felt like that was the right thing to do, even though Adom believed there could be another way - that there had to be another way. But there wasn't another way. Alexander had an army who would've barged in the room the second he called for them, he had an unusually powerful boy on his side, and he wouldn't have stopped. And in the end, Alexandra did it. He came back to her. When Alexandra woke up, it had been three days after. Adom- who was by her side every second of the day- had been so excited and relieved. The day after that, Alexandra spoke to Samnatha and everyone else how she managed to get back to city. And then they all left back to town with Samantha's promise to keep a look out for the mysterious powe
Whoever the boy in the red gear was, he was powerful enough to take Alexandra all the way back to headquarter. She had wanted to confront him but when Alexandra was bent on his knees gasping for breath he looked up in panic only to realise the boy was gone. The worst part of it all was that Alexandra had been dropped off in Forest, with short breaths and seeming about ready to collapse in exhaustion. Alexandra didn't know what was causing her such a headache but she bet it was due to the teleportation. That must be something.Alexandra had to walk all the way back to her home. It took her several hours but by the time she arrived, all the roads were empty and the only light she spotted came from the Gard. Shw contemplated whether to go there or someplace else. Hee family was most likely at the Gard along with everyone else or maybe they were in the part of the Gard they had taken residence in. Despite it all she will have to go there, may
