"What's bothering you?" Adom asked. Knowing Alexandra so well to know something was wrong. Alexandra opened her mouth to speak. "And don't say nothing." Reluctantly Alexandr replied.
"I don't know." Adom frowned. He hated the sound of Alexnadra voice. So weak and lost. Like she honestly didn't know what was wrong. And maybe she didn't. Adom stopped walking and faced Alexandra. He watched her black hair dancing around to the wind. Her eyes were their beautiful shade, but they looked clouded and broken. He could see the pain in them, and it broke Adom heart.
"Alexandra. You can tell me anything, you know that right?" Alexandra finally met her eyes and they seemed to stare into each other for hours but was merely seconds before Alexandra looked away.
"I just can't stop thinking." Her voice waved of desolation. "About my family, what Alexander could do to them. About my friends. About my baby moon. And I can't stop thinking about yo
"Alexander." muttered Alexandra, before she took off on a sprint to base, Adom hot on his heels. The only thought in Alexandra mind was her new family. She couldn't let them get hurt, she had to find them before Alexander did."Alexandra wait!" Adom tried to make her stop. Alexandra was running to the Gard were everyone seemed be going to - all the younger kids were being guided the opposite way. She knew Prea and Win would want to fight, and if the fight seemed to be coming from there, then that's exactly were they will be. "Alexandra!" Adom took hold of her hand, stopping her from moving any further. Alexandra pulled her hand back, Adom letting her after realising what she has done. "I'm sorry. Ale-""Don't." She gritted through her teeth. "I understand you don't want me to go in there. But Win and Prea could be in danger. My whole family could be, and I will not cower back just because it's Alexander.""Your family wouldn't judge
"Were have you been?! We've been looking everywhere for you!" Alexandra was surprised at how worried he was but then gestured to Adom and Mike seemed to understand. Mike looked around in confusion. Alexandra could get a better look at him. His hair was messy and the hair that fell on his forehead had some blood on it. His mouth had dried blood, and his shirt was dirty with blood all over especially in a small area where Alexnadra was sure Mike used to try to wipe the disgusting blood on his mouth. Alexandr felt a pang of pity for him. Mike never wanted to be parts this type of situation."Why aren't we being attacked?!" He screeched. Standing protectively on Alexandra other side as he watched the cursed army pass them by."Alexander most likely gave them orders not to hurt Alexandra." Adom said. Not breaking his concentration from the danger around them."Well, I hope you don't mind me staying with you
Flashback:-Prea woke up in an empty basement. There was no light. No windows. She didn't feel scared, only alarmed to her surroundings. That was until she remembered what happened. Ashly.Just when she stood up, a heavy metal door squeaked open and a light was dimly lit. The lightbulb hanging from the roof on a wire. Yanayn pushed Ashly in before leaving, closing the door behind him. The latter groaned and tried to stand on her knees."Ashly!" she threw herself beside her and helped her to a sitting position, though she was mostly leaning on her, unable to hold herself up. She checked her bestfriend dirty and tear stained face. "Your eyes..." she muttered. The Iris of Ashly eyes had little specks of black and his Sclera looked a light - almost pink - red. "What happened?" She shook her head. Throat dry from screaming after the torture she had endured.Aahly had woken up tied
Flashback continue:-Prea knew what Ashly meant. She might die if she didn't call Ashly's brothers, and she couldn't risk that. Ashly didn't see it that way, and her heart felt like it was being ripped apart. She was willing to die if it meant her brothers coming and rescuing them. If Prea survived, to her nothing else mattered. Prea couldn't let that happen though. She pressed the phone number and called. She heard it ring once, twice, thre-"Hello?!" Man voice sounded rushed and troubled. "Who the hell is this?! I swear if it's a prank I will find out who you are and kill you! This is hardly the time and you got me in a very very bad moo-""Man." Prea tried to sound as normal as she could."Prea!! Where are you?! Is Ashly with you?? I've been worried sick looking everywhere for you! I was on my way to get help from the others !" Prea felt guilt build up ins
Present:-Sucides are seen as dishonorable deaths by the officer's. In the case of the young officers, he had a proper death ceremony.Alexandra had learned the young boy has a family and love once like him. His big brother wanted to put them out of his misery and then turned his gun on himself. But that was not all. Before young had gone after his family he saw his little sister, Sofia - the little girl with dark brown eyes- running around in the Hall. He tried to get to her, but he was too late. He saw his little sister - his only sibling and family left - die, and then he had killed his young brothers. Alexandra felt an immense respect for him. He lost so much in one night, if Alexandra had been in his place, he would probably have done the same."There's nothing you could've done." Adom said. Alexandra ignored him. She didn't feel like talking. Young man and Sofia's ceremony
Alexandra sat beside Prea with Pheuk on her other side. She would prefer to sit beside adom but he was in his Representative chair. The meeting had started 15 minutes ago and it was the slowest meeting of all. No one felt comfortable in the Hall, two soldiers died just two hours before and even though the floors had been cleaned and the bodies cleared. It still felt dirty."Alexander has to be stopped!" Yelled another man Alexandra didn't care about. It was the 12th time she has heard those exact words through the whole meeting."Maybe we should turn in the girl, she was his Donna his wife she needs to go back to him!" Screamed someone else. That caught everyone's attention. Alexandra could see Adom sit up straight in his chair. His bored look changed into one of anger."Absolutely not!" He barked. His voice echoed through the silent room. Alexandra stretched her hand to grip Prea but she mo
Win marched to Prea. He had been in a heated argument with a man he didn't care to know his name. He was the first who suggested turning Alexandra in to Alexander and to say Win was pissed is an understatement. When he saw a look of surprise cross the man's face Win had noticed people were quieting down. He had turned around to find Pheuk trying to pull Alexandra back but the other girl was stronger."What is he doing?!" He hissed at Prea. Prea paled, looked once into his eyes and turned back to Alexandra."It's okay." She said. "It's the only way."Typical. Win thought. Of course she wants to be a martyr for the sake of all of us. Curse your selfless heart Alexandra. Win will not let Alexander get close to Alexandra, if it's the last thing he ever does."Alexandra." Adom voice was loud and strong. "Stay out of this.""This is my decision to make Adom, not yours." E
"Win, please take your friend out of here." Samantha said, her eyes were closed and she breathed heavily."But ma'am-!" Alexandra tried."Enough Alexandra!" She yelled at her, then her attention went to the crowd. "We are officer's! We do not sacrifice our own. We stand tall and proud, we will fight and defeat Alexander at all costs. Alexandra stays. If we want to win this war.." She looked directly at Alexandra. There was something in the way she looked at her that scared her. It was like she knew something about her that she herself didn't. "We will need her to lead us. She's our only hope." Alexandra paled. She didn't want this. She's fine with turning herself in. This, the many pairs of eyes staring intently at her, trusting their lives and the lives of their children, family, friends. It's too much. She can't defeat Alexander. She doesn't believe she can."I- I can't." She shuddered. "I can't do it."
Pheuk& WinI know it's not real. It all feels too good to be true. I look up into his eyes and I know he can't see past the way. He has a smile on his face, so big and without a worry. How should I tell him? That this isn't real and he needs to open his eyes and remember what happened. That we were in Adom's apartment and then we just appeared here. In this perfect life were everyone is happy and the people we loved and were close to us who we lost are alive. No authority, no underworld, no Don, no Alexander, no pain and misery, just a family and a life that could never and will never be. But how do I tell him? That Mike- his best friend- is a solider and not a civilian being. That he is a solider, born to defend the civilian against everything bad. That the man standing beside his grandmothermother- the one he called grandpa- is actually the man he hates the most in his life. Or that the boy with brown hair and thick gla
Prea& MikeI woke up feeling raindrops fall on my face. My head hurt and I opened my eyes to see that indeed there were raindrops falling right on me. Above me I could see the dark cloudy sky of ciry. I sat up straight and looked around me to find I was laying in the middle of the street but there were no cars or any people around, it was completely quiet. I could see something in the distance and I squint my eyes to get a better view. It was a figure, sprawled on the ground, it was a boy, brown hair an- "Mike!" I screamed and bolted up on my feet to run to his side. By the time I kneeled down beside him he was already opening his eyes and adjusting them to the blinding street lamp."Prea?" He asked, looking straight into my eyes. His eyes widened in realisation and he sat up so fast I had to move back to avoid him crashing into me. "What happened?! How did we get here?? And the others?!"He glanced around and frowned. "Are
Alexandra awoke in a forest. There was fog everywhere and she could hardly see the pines and trees let alone her feet where also hard to see. She looked around, trying hard to find Adom and her family. Instead she heard a loud roar, followed by another, and another. Then the pounding of feet and the birds shrieked."Win! Prea!!" Her heart was beating fast and her lungs felt like they were being compressed together making it hard to breath. "Adom! Adom where are you?!!" The noise got louder Alexandra could hardly hear herself scream. Then she saw a coated man walking in her direction. "Adom!! Over here!" But after she said that she noticed the figure had red hair. She couldn't see his face due to his coat covering it but she didn't need to see to know who it was. That's when Alexandra turned around and took off in a run.~~~~~~~~~~
It was 3 am and Alexandra has barely finished telling Prea, Mike, and Adom the same story she had told Win about her past. It would make everything easier to explain if they knew. They were in Adom's apartment and Mike and Pheuk had decided to stay and leave for the ceremony the next day with them."I'm glad you finally told them Alexandra." Prea smiled softly, her eyes red and teary. "But why now? You haven't told us what happened to mom yet and I know you know." Alexandra sighed and closed her eyes before continuing her explanation."Turns out the back blood in me is not gone. It's been inactive you could say. If I have one more dose of that blood, I don't know what would happen.""But that's not gonna happen." Mike- said. "Why would anyone want to continue what that guy did to you?""And how do you even know the blood is still in you?" Prea gasped. "I- is that how mom-? Did you..?"
Adom wrapped his hand around Alexandra. Their fingers interlocked and at first, Alexandra hand was limp until Adom gave her a reassuring squeeze and Alexandra tightened her grip. The headquarter was full of soldiers and authority members- including Dean.Alexnadea hasn't spoken a word since it happened. When Win and Prea had entered the living room, Yanyan was gone. It was Win who called for Adom. A simple message later, Adom walked through a door followed by his father Dean and Samnatha. He hasn't left Alexandra side since then."Alexandra." Alexandra didn't move. They were outside, Win had to physically take Alexandra away from Nora and drag her outside along with Prea who was on the stairs crying her eyes out. Beside her was Pheuk and Mike- Mike parents had arrived soon after Win called them. "If you don't tell me what happened, we won't be able to find whoever was responsible for this.""You won't find
Win left to his date with Pheuk after that. Alexandra had to drag him all the way to the door for him to leave, reassuring her friend that she will be fine and that she would help Nora sort some papers in the library. It was 5 minutes past midnight. Alexandra was in her room when she heard Nora calling for her. It was rare since Alexandra had thought Nora was asleep and she was calling for her from downstairs. Despite that he walked to the living room, knowing that was were she would most likely be at.And sure enough, there she was. A hand on her throat and her face bloody. The same boy from Alexander stood in the middle of the living room holding Nora by the throat. He had the same red gear on with the hood up.Nora stared at Alexander wide eyed, confused to what was going on but also seemed weak and unable to move."Alexandra- go, run." She shook her head incredulously at her.
"Back when I was 15, I always seeked out- I would go out all the time for long hours." Win nodded, surprised that Alexandra was even telling him. "My brothers thought I was having some fun. I wasn't, I was dating someone. He- was nice at first, but after he met Prea he was abusive. I never did anything, couldn't use my weapons because he was a civilian- I thought he was a civilian. After a while, one night-""One night we disappeared. Me and Prea." Win nodded."He locked us up in the basement. He had these eyes, they were all black. I don't remember much of what happened then, Prea would know, but I never asked her. All I remember was this agonizing pain. He injected balcl blood in me. After a while I would black out, and when I came back, he was on the ground, twisting in pain and a pile of blood around him. Prea would stare at me with fear in her eyes. And the next thing I remember was hearing loud howls and I knew i
Words can't describe what Adom felt when he left Alexandra behind. He had to ignore every inch of himself telling him to stay beside Alexandra, to fight for her. But he didn't. He doesn't know why he didn't. He trusts Alexandra, he believes in her. Alexandra felt like that was the right thing to do, even though Adom believed there could be another way - that there had to be another way. But there wasn't another way. Alexander had an army who would've barged in the room the second he called for them, he had an unusually powerful boy on his side, and he wouldn't have stopped. And in the end, Alexandra did it. He came back to her. When Alexandra woke up, it had been three days after. Adom- who was by her side every second of the day- had been so excited and relieved. The day after that, Alexandra spoke to Samnatha and everyone else how she managed to get back to city. And then they all left back to town with Samantha's promise to keep a look out for the mysterious powe
Whoever the boy in the red gear was, he was powerful enough to take Alexandra all the way back to headquarter. She had wanted to confront him but when Alexandra was bent on his knees gasping for breath he looked up in panic only to realise the boy was gone. The worst part of it all was that Alexandra had been dropped off in Forest, with short breaths and seeming about ready to collapse in exhaustion. Alexandra didn't know what was causing her such a headache but she bet it was due to the teleportation. That must be something.Alexandra had to walk all the way back to her home. It took her several hours but by the time she arrived, all the roads were empty and the only light she spotted came from the Gard. Shw contemplated whether to go there or someplace else. Hee family was most likely at the Gard along with everyone else or maybe they were in the part of the Gard they had taken residence in. Despite it all she will have to go there, may
