Chapter one hundred &thirty one

The two packs continued to talk, discussing the various issues that had been causing tension between them. As the conversation progressed, Fred and Sargus broached the topic of Aimea's son, Alpha Darell.

"We know that Darell has decided to marry a vampire wife called Marcelyn Against your wish," Sargus said carefully. "And we also know that Darell making Marcelyn his Luna will be a threat to our werewolf race, So we have decided to keep our differences aside and come and make peace with you."

Aimea bristled at the mention of Marcelyn's name. "What do you want from me, Alpha Sargus?"

"We want to help you," Fred said, taking over the conversation. "We want to make peace with you and to also help you separate Darell from Marcelyn, and we promise that we won't hurt him."

Aimea looked at them skeptically. "And why should I trust you?"

Fred exchanged a quick glance with Sargus. They had been expecting this question, and they had come prepared.

"We understand that trust needs to be earned,"
