Chapter one hundred &thirty nine

Darell leaned down, his face inches from Fred's. "You won't have the opportunity to come back, because we won't let you escape this time. And we won't hesitate to take you down and all of a sudden Fred and Sargus disappeared into the thin air."

With that, Darell and Chris left the warehouse, their hearts pounding with adrenaline. Darell was still wondering what will be their next plan and what is really their plan with his mother Aimea. They are yet to discover the full information.

Darell couldn't help but think about what his mother had said. Was it true? Did she really want Marcelyn dead because she was a vampire? He knew he had to talk to her, to try and understand her motives.

Chris's heart raced as he watched Fred and Sargus disappear into the darkness. They had lost them. He turned to Darell, who was looking at him with concern.

"We lost them," Chris said, his voice shaking slightly.

Darell nodded grimly. "I know. But at least we have a lead now. We know where they're headed."
