Chapter ninety

Bella and Sam's relationship was a secret from everyone, especially their parents. They had met in school and fell in love, but they both came from different werewolf packs, and their parents had strict rules about interpack relationships.

As they sat in Bella's small apartment, Sam's voice crackled over the phone. "Hey, Bella. How are you?"

"I'm good," Bella replied, her heart beating fast with excitement. "I've missed you."

"Me too," Sam said. "I wish we could see each other more often."

"I know, but we have to be careful," Bella said. "We can't let our parents find out about us."

"I know," Sam replied. "But I can't keep pretending that we're just friends. I want to be with you, openly and without any restrictions."

Bella's heart raced with fear and excitement. She had thought about the same thing, but the thought of telling their parents made her nervous. "But what if our parents find out? They'll be furious."
