NOLAN
Olive kept staring at me while I drive. I felt so awkward and had to focus on the road. I was tempted to look at her and see why she kept staring at me that way but I changed my mind. I breathed a sigh of relief when I sighed the cinema some meters away. I turned the steering to the left. Finding my way to the parking lot, I brought the car to a halt and stepped out. I have to be a gentleman. So I turned to the other side and opened the door for her. She smiled. "Thanks"I smiled back. We found our way into the cinema, after buying tickets and popcorn. "What kind of movie would you like?" I had asked"Horror movie" she had answeredNow, we are seated in the front row, popcorn in our hands and waiting for the movie to start. "Are you sure you can watch horror movies?"She chuckled. "Of course"I chuckled too when I realized that was the dumbest question I have ever asked. She is a warrior. She had watched so many people die. She has killed so manyOLIVEI got dressed in a blue off-shouldered dress that stopped right below my knee. I had decided to always dress like a lady now. I packed my hair into a messy bun. Since I wasn't good at makeup, I left my face. I wore tiger ankle-trapped heels. When I was sure I was good to go, I left my room. Nolan sat in the dining room with Ella and Nigel. They stared at me. "You look gorgeous" Bella complimentedI smiled. "Thanks""Wow. Someone is finally comfortable with female clothing" Ella saidI rolled my eyes. "Haven't you always wanted it that way?"She chuckled. "Of course I do. I am so happy you finally embraced your sexuality. Can't you see you look so gorgeous?". I smiled. "Or what do you think, Nolan?. Isn't she beautiful?"I stared at Nolan to see his reaction. He nodded. "She is"I batted my lashes. That's all he could say?. "Oh, mine. You look breathtaking Olive" Nigel said from behind.I sighed. "Thanks"Nolan stood up. "Is ev
NOLANMartins called me and I had to excuse myself from Olive. I wasn't sure what Martins have to say and if I would be able to keep my identity away from Olive throughout the call, that was the reason I left thee Balcony. I returned to my room and closed the door before settling on my bed to receive the call. "Boss, I've been calling you but you didn't pick. Is everything all right?""Yeah. I was with Olive. I couldn't pick the call while she was there. I had to excuse myself. What's the news?""There is a mission, boss"I furrowed my brows. Mission?. What kind of Mission?. "What mission?""Arden and I was able to find out Salvador's accomplices"I blinked. "Are you serious?""Yes, boss. Some fours packs work with hm. They are all from the north""North?""Yes boss"North?. That's strange. "Are you sure they are from the north?""Yes. One of the packs is called the Lycan pack of the north"I frowned. The Lycan pack of the
OLIVEI returned to my room to wait for Nolan. I must have fallen asleep waiting cause the next time I opened my eyes, it was morning already. My neck ached badly due to the way I slept. I stretched a bit and finally stood up to take my bath. When I was done, I got dressed in a simple gown and headed downstairs. Bella and Nigel, we're at the dining having their usual couple's fight. I groaned and say down. "Don't you guys ever get tired of arguing?"Bella folded her arms. "It's Nigel. Always making a fuss out of nothing""Are you now accusing me?" Nigel askedI rolled my eyes. Maybe I shouldn't have asked that question in the first place cause it has led to another series of arguments. "What's in for breakfast!" I asked, changing the topic"Bacon and egg" Ella answered as she drew the chair beside me and sat down.Bacon and egg, again?. I furrowed my brows. "Who made breakfast request, this morning?"Nigel chuckled. "Your mate"I rolled
NOLANThis night, I will be going on the mission with Martins, Arden, and the rest of the warriors. I wasn't sure what the mission holds for us and if I will be coming back with my full quads. Maybe I won't come back was also unknown to me. We are going to be dealing with the packs from the northern hemisphere, known for their brutality and evil ways. And can't be compared to the southern hemisphere. I could only hope that we come back with a victory song in our mouths. Since I wasn't sure of what the outcome of our mission will be, I decided to spend some time with Olive. Even if that will be the last time we will spend together, I wanted it to be, if not the best but one of the best dates of her life. I got dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt. I walked down the stairs. When I saw Olive standing by the dining table, dressed in a blue strapless gown with stopped below her thigh.I stared at her, I had to stop on my track. She wasn't facing me, so it was easier to watch
OLIVEMy eyes flicked opened and I sat up. It was morning already and I could tell that from the ray of light passing through the opening of the curtains on the window. I picked up my phone to check the time and I realized it's past breakfast time. I wondered why no one woke me up. Maybe Nolan asked them not to. I stood to do my morning business and then got dressed in simple shorts and a shirt. I left the room in search of the rest. I went to Nolan's room first but it was locked. I headed for Nigel's room but it was also locked. Bella's and Ella's rooms were locked also. U became a bit worried they must have left me to attend lectures or went to the office. I had wondered why they will want to leave without me. They had never done that before. Not even when we weren't this close. Why will they want to do that now that things seem to be working out well between us?. I was already jumping to conclusion that they did not want me with them."You shouldn't jump into conclusion
NOLANAs we got closer to their supposed hideout, I could feel my heart beating fast. This was my first mission with people considered to be this brutal. I might have been considered as ruthless too which I know I am but dealing with people from another hemisphere who are banned and considered to be wicked needs courage. I stared out through the window of the car, all I could see were trees and thick bushes. I sighed. Everywhere looks so quiet and peaceful. Who could have imagined a peaceful place like this could harbor notorious gangs from the northern hemisphere. I could only hear the chirping of birds. The car suddenly stopped, jolting me out of my thought. I stared at Martin. "Why the sudden stop?" I asked"We are closer to their hideout. We will need to walk the rest to avoid raising suspicious" he answered"That's a good idea," I thought. It's a good thing he knew we shouldn't create suspicion. I sighed and opened the door."You should wear your mas
OLIVEI walked down the stairs, my hand moving across the handrail of the stairs. My eyes were red from the sleepless night and constant tears. My head was banging so hard I could feel I might collapse very soon. I couldn't stop worrying about Nolan. Bella and Ella had tried to cheer me up but with Nolan's absence, nothing could cheer me up. It's been a day and Nolan is not back. I couldn't help but think something bad had happened to him and as much as I was assured he is fine and will be home soon, it was difficult to believe them. I dragged my already tired body to a nearby stool and sat down."Are you ok, ma'am?" One of the guards asked. I nodded and smiled slightly. "You don't look ok, ma'am. You need some rest""I-i am fine. Thank you"Duncan walked into the dining room. "Olive, look at you. You look horrible"I sighed. "Any news yet?. Any news that can cheer me up?"He walked closer to me, placed his hand on my shoulder, and patted me. "He will b
NOLANI opened my eyes wondering where I was. Everything in the room seems strange. The last thing I remembered was falling after being stabbed. And it was in the middle of a thick bush and not on a cozy bed. I could perceive Olive's perfume and I knew immediately that I was back home. The room was becoming familiar too. How did I get into my room? I thought. Did someone bring me back? I mean Martin, did he bring me back?. Why...Olive stood up from the bed, jolting back to reality. I held her hand when I realized she was about to leave. I could feel her hand, shaking vigorously. I knew she was so angry but why I couldn't tell. "Olive," I called. "It's good to see you again"She sat beside me and held my hand. "It's nice to see you too. I'm so happy you're back. I thought I have lost you". She was crying and I wondered why. Did she miss me so badly?. Or she thought something bad must have happened to me?I smiled at her. "I thought I will never see you again too.
OLIVEI don't know what Natasha had been telling Nolan before I came in but I heard her tell him to leave. I heard her tell him I wasn't going to leave my pack because of him. She was right. I wasn't going to make that decision before and I am not going to make it now. When I waited for him to come to stop me, I had thought of changing my mind. I had feared I might change my mind if he shows up. I had thought I will reject my pack for him. That was the only way I thought I could prove to him that I love him. That I am willing to sacrifice the things that make me happy, for him.But having waited for a long time, hoping he would show up and he never did, I realized I was wrong. I shouldn't change my mind. I should not think of staying back because I will regret it. As I stepped my legs out of the fire pack gate, I made up my mind never to show up again at the fire pack. Never to think of seeing him again. I made up my mind to leave with the pain and never love anyone again.
NOLAN"You are not going to make her stay?" Nigel asked and I shook my head. "You will let her go without a fight?""I can't keep her with me" I answered flipping the pages of the book I was holding."You are letting her go for the second time, without a fight?"I closed the book and sighed. "I don't want her to regret staying back here""Do you think of how she feels?. Why did you not let her make her decision herself?""She was going to leave, I know that. I just don't want her to feel bad leaving me. I don't want to be pitied""Nolan, letting her go isn't the best option. Do you think she will reject you?"I shrugged. "I can't say""If she doesn't reject you, you won't be able to resist her for long""She will have to reject me""And you will lose half of your power. If you are not strong enough you might lose your wolf. What about her?. What if she dies?"I blinked. "She is not going to die. She is strong enough to take
We were there when the elders made their final decision on Salvador and his accomplice. They were sentenced to death by hanging. Just what I wanted, though I would have preferred Salvador to be killed by me. But watching them being hanged, for the first time, I felt their punishment was too harsh. "They should have sent them away like before" I had thought as they closed their eyes to their final breath.I do not know why I suddenly had compassion for them. They killed my parents, killed Ella's dad and some of our pack members lost their lives for their sale. They killed Nolan's parents too and other people that had lost their lives. Why should I have compassion for them?. Why should I feel sad that they were killed?.I watched them being brought down and ready to be buried and I sighed. If I had killed them myself would I feel this bad?. Is this the reason Nolan stopped me from killing him?. Different thoughts ran through my mind as we returned home. I locked myself in my
OLIVEI was surprised Ella wanted to go face Salvador. Though I know she could do it, I worried for no reason. Having lost my parents and knowing the pain that comes with it, I wasn't ready to lose anyone else. When Nolan looked at me to know if he should let her go, I couldn't say no. I wanted badly to say no. To stand on my ground that someone else should go.But looking around the room, I realized I don't want to lose any of them. Not even Martin or Arden who had been of great help to us. I realized in as much as I love Ella, I love every one of them too. But the work to be done must be done by one of us. I wouldn't risk letting someone else do it. Nolan will not accept too, after being betrayed twice. It's surprising how he had come to trust every one of us in the room. I suspected he find it difficult to trust people. Within these recent days, Nigel had told me what had happened to him and I realized he had passed through a lot more than I am doing right no
Nolan"If you love me and care so much about me as you claim. You will come with me" that was the words she said and I found myself following her. "Nolan" Nigel calledI stopped. "Nigel, get more men. I will go with her. I can't let her get hurt" I answered"Did you... I mean, you completed your mating...""Let's talk about this later. Just do as I say"He nodded. "Be safe, brother""I will"I left Nigel and ran after Olive. "Olive" I called. She stopped walking and turned. "I will go with you". She shrugged. "Do you have any plans?"She sighed. "Stop being worried. If your mind is clear, I will be able to think well"I nodded. "Ok""Can we go now?""Sure"I wasn't sure if she knew where Salvador had gone to but I followed her anyway. "Are we going on foot?"She nodded. "I saw him run past this place""What if he left already?""I know. I just need a few things. We might have to look for his new location agai
OLIVESeeing how easy our first attack was, I was hopeful, we will get Salvador soon. Although the alphas of the packs we caught were not ready to tell us where to find Salvador, I was still hopeful. They were the loyal ones who despite he was the reason why they were driven from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere. He must have something he had been using against them.I knew I needed to find out what that was. They will help us get words out of their mouths. We returned to the fire pack, leaving Martins and his men as guards with them. I trusted him to do a good job. He is the ruthless alpha's, right-hand man. and is strong enough to withstand anything. Arden was there to help him too. Though we had plans to hand them over to the elders who had sent them to exile for a proper judgment, we needed to keep them safe until the right time.Although Salvador won't be taken to the elders for judgment. They had given us the go-ahead to kill him when we
We were deep into the woods and night was setting in already. I knew Ella and the rest would be searching for us. They might be calling our names. We can't stay here and will need to return home. It was getting cold and she might catch a cold. I stood up and pulled my coat. I dropped it on the floor. "I will stay behind that tree over there. You can change and wear this coat. Call me when you're done"I stood behind the tree waiting for her to call me. While I wait, I could not help but wondered what would have happened if I did not show up. Seeing her kill them, I could not help but wonder who they are and what she planned on doing after that. I have fear, she might do worst than that and I won't be there to stop her. "I should have marked her. That will help me track her". Though she is my mate, I can only get her scent from a short distance. If she's far away from me, I won't be able to get her scent. "Maybe I should complete the mating". I groaned. We are not on good terms,
NOLANThe door closed behind Olive and I sighed. What has gotten into her?. Why is she so bent on getting Salvador?. Why isn't she thinking about the risk?. If it was easy to get him, I would have gotten him right before he attacked her pack. "I will go check how she is doing," Bella said in a concerned tuneI nodded. "And me too," Ella said standing up.I nodded but said nothing. I picked up the paper she dropped in front of me. I stared at it, studying the plan she mapped out. I noticed it was a very good plan if only it was as easy as she has written it. I sighed. Why can't she understand things can't be done like that?. "You were once like her. Remember?" My subconscious mind said. "You were once blinded by revenge" it addedI nodded. Yes, I was once like her, blinded by revenge. I once thought a lot about the perfect way to get Salvador. I had tried so many ways to get him but as days became months and months, years. I have come to realize that I can't get t
OLIVEMy pack members were happy to hear that I am mated to the ruthless alpha. I guess that took away the fear that had been looming in their hearts. When Nolan ended his meeting with them and I called them for mine, they were so happy they kept thanking me. I realized there was nothing to talk to them about. I had come to know why they had thought I needed a mate now that my parent are dead, but after what Nolan did, there was no need for that anymore.I returned to the mountain pack after speaking to my pack members, about random things. Seeing them so happy and at rest, after hearing that Nolan is the ruthless alpha and also my mate, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Ella and Bella offered to follow me. And though I told them not to, they wouldn't budge. When we got to the mountain pack, Ella hugged me. "I'm happy you accepted Nolan""I did not accept him, for real. You know that. I only did that for my pack member" I answered"Are you sure you did that fo
