Adrian's POV

Seeing him laying upon her, nothing just red was all visible in front of our eyes. A sharp growl left our throat, as he said, “Oh, look who is here. It’s going to be fun now.” He said getting off her but not away from her. "He needs to be killed. How dare he force to mate and scare her so bad?" Hunter growled in my head as he sensed Devika fearing and her whimper reached our ears along with witnessing his hand trailing down her body.

My heart wrenched hearing her cry, and smelling her fear. Not able to take it anymore, I took steps towards him as he shifted and snarled back at me. "This kid, how did he even think of charging against us?" Hunter growled seeing his Wolf's small frame. He was at least half of our size, just a bit bigger than any normal wolf from a pack.

I snickered hearing Hunter and got ready to get him as he took the position to attack us. As he lunged toward us, our jaws snapped at each other's while trying to get each other’s neck to snap it away. But,

Adrian’s POV As I closed my eyes accepting my death, and waited for my soul to leave my body. For the ache to end, but instead my eyes opened as her scream reached my ears. The scream of our mate, of Devika which scared me more than my death. Scared of something happened to her but, instead what I saw in front of our eyes was something unbelievable or should I say confusing. The Devika, I know was standing behind the wolf above with flames surrounding her and spreading around the room. “What is happening? What did that witch did to mate?” Hunter questioned while trying to get up and push off the Joseph’s wolf but due to the bite and ache he failed. If a second more he would have taken, then I am sure he would have successfully snapped my head off the body and my soul would have been seeing all this. “Don’t know, but for sure the flames are not burning her.” Looking at her face, especially into her eyes I could say that. They were holding the fire just as her body as she glared at t

Devika’s POV “What happened to her?” I heard my mates voice as my sleep broke due to few voices but did not want to open my eyes instead wanted to go back into deep slumber. I was just so tired, not even a finger I wanted to move therefore, I chose to just listen them if not go back to sleep. And, hearing Adrian’s care for me gave me another reason to not open my eyes. “You don’t need to worry, Adrian, your mate is fine. She just fainted due to lack of energy in her as in a fight it all drained away.” A woman's voice replied to him which was unrecognizable to me. But, her words did make sense to me as I was feeling drained out and weak. But, it seemed like Adrian had more things to ask, “I know all of these, I am asking about whatever happened at her old. Eva must have explained it to you, right?” He must say it looking towards Eva for which she answered instantly, “Yes, Alpha. I did explain the whole scenario to Lady Anna.” My poor girl seemed so nervous, definitely must be due to

Adrian’s POV “Your Luna is completely fine, I repeated this twice already. And, about the flames, your alpha has been questioning continuously about is something your Luna already knows. It will go against the witch regulations for me to speak about with anyone without her knowledge. So, waiting for her to be awake will be the best for all of us, in fact, it would be much easy for your Alpha to believe if your Luna says about it himself.” Lady Anna said making me rake my fingers through my hair, just for my mate I have been keeping myself from losing calm. She might be the queen of her kingdom, but not here. “She is my mate, I am not anyone. You don’t need to worry about it. You can give me the details regarding what happened to her, and why she went through such an experience. I have that much right, don't you think so?” Calmly I replied, she is the only one who can be helpful for us with what happened to Devika because the way she behaved back in her pack seemed something related t

  • His Chosen Mate- THE CHOSEN BEGINNING   Lady Anna

Devika’s POV “Are you okay?” I questioned feeling overwhelmed to see her awake finally after so many hours which really felt like forever to me. Exhaling, and not being able to keep within myself I dipped down my head and left a lingering kiss on her forehead, “Oh, finally you cared to open your eyes. I was just so scared,” I sighed while caressing her face and continued, “with the thought of losing you.” The dam which I had controlled for the whole time, broke at that moment. A tear slipped out my eyes seeing her smiling at me, with the fact drowning in that she actually is staring and smiling at me. She raised her hand and wiped the single tear off my face. “I am fine, but I think you are not.” She chuckled and sighed laying her head back on the pillow. The pain was clearly visible in her eyes but still, she is being brave enough for me not to worry. “Luna, I’m sorry for interrupting you both but it's important.” A lady standing beside Eva said taking my attention away from my mat

Devika’s POV “When did you learn about it? And why did I not know anything about it till now?” Adrian questioned seeming just equally confused and frustrated at the time. He was not able to believe that whatever he heard is a fact… a fact about his mate. And, how come it was unknown to me, to us till no. “How would you know about it when I, myself was unaware of it? I learned about it back at my old pack that too because of the magic stone, that bastard took me for.” As I mentioned the magic stone, I realized it must be left in the Silver Crest Pack. “Where is the stone? Is it safe? Did that unholy shit take it with him?” I questioned looking at everyone only to get a confused look back from them which gave me my answer that none of my words any of them understood. Only hope left, and I turned my head to Lady Anna who was the only one I could expect an answer from, from whatever I heard her saying earlier. As I looked at her, I was just praying and expecting for her to have some kno

  • His Chosen Mate- THE CHOSEN BEGINNING   Hybrid Mate

Adrian’s POV Mess, a big mess it is. Devika is a witch, which she was unknown about until yesterday. The news was just too much for me to handle, I have heard of such cases where even in our kind, werewolves are late springs who learn about their wolf or powers after a long period of time. And, my mate is one of them from her kind, hybrid. “We have a hybrid mate. Wow.” Hunter said smiling widely learning the fact. “Why are you excited about it?” I questioned not understanding his excitement as for me it is very normal. She is still my mate, that too the one I chose, and the one who chose me as hers. She is still the same for me just with some added powers and identity. But, it was the opposite in the case of Hunter, “Why should I not be? Having a hybrid mate is exciting. I would get to see a new her with the tinge of our still, old Devika. The sight of her learning powers, excelling in them and evolving into her witch form, everything is something making me feel the way I am feelin

  • His Chosen Mate- THE CHOSEN BEGINNING   Truth

Adrian’s POV “What do you mean? How come that alone man managed to kill so many and not get caught?” Devika gasped not being able to take in the news she heard about the death of her family. The pain of losing someone is painful but to learn about them having a painful death just multiplies the level of it, especially after it being so many years. “He had everything planned well to execute his intentions, he was well aware of what he was doing. And, being the high rank member of the pack, he was well aware of what, how, where, and when to accomplish his task.” Such pack members just deserve to die, they are one of such fish which just spoils the whole water or destroys it. I cannot understand how can someone go ahead with the idea of breaking the pack bond and relations they have enjoyed since their childhood just for some mere powers. I know the magic stone is nothing near mere but for me, in front of my pack and the pack members, it counts nothing. And, I am not saying this just b

Adrian's mind raced with worry as he retraced his steps, trying to remember the last time he had seen her. They had spent the morning together, sharing breakfast and laughing over silly jokes. Devika had mentioned something about going for a walk in the woods, wanting to clear her head. It was unlike her to disappear without a word, and Adrian's concern grew with every passing minute. He rushed outside, his keen eyes scanning the forest's edge, hoping to catch a glimpse of Devika's familiar figure. The tall trees stood still, their branches swaying gently in the breeze.
