Aria POVI didn’t know how to describe how this morning feels.. a feeling I have never felt before. God.. his scent ravish my nose as I shut my eyes close sniffing in his scent and the memories of last night ringing in my head. He must be the reason this morning felt great as if I had no problems or issue at all. Goodness I want to stay in his arms forever..“ Did you sleep well? morning beauty.” he hand me a coffee and I just stared at me with a faint red blush on my cheek.“ Good morning,” I held his gaze, taking the hot mug from his hands. “ Thank you for the coffee.” I smiled. He looked like he’s been out, it saw some snow flakes on his head. But something on him could also want to doubt the thoughts. He had apron on him as if he was about to make something delicious to spice up this gorgeous morning.“ Are you busy in the kitchen?” I asked, I’d only sip a little of the coffee.“ I decided to allow you taste my food. I’m making something nice for you.” he wink, rising from the bed
Charles POVI almost felt regretful for asking. Thank goodness I was able to get rigid of the thoughts and brought those cute smiles back on her face. I finished up with the peppers and other ingredient I might need for the cooking.“ Do you need help?” she asked, smiling as she folded her hands across her chest, leaning on the kitchen door.“ No, Aria. This is special for you,” I winked. “ You don’t have to join me. Just watch me.” I told her. Wearing the apron back on me, while I resume mixing the flour.“ Would you rather go to your room and continue with your books?” I suggested. She nodded, smiling head faced down.“ Charles..” she called and paused. Biting her lips slowly, still on the same spot. “ You don’t just know how much I’ve grown to be fond of you. I would rather stay here and watch you cook.” she said. I couldn’t help smiling loudly. I remember when she said she needed no one, but her books to keep her busy and happy. Today, this words were falling out of the same lips.
Dasie POVThere was another truck car parked in front of the house. When I stepped out, I knew it didn’t belong to Grey. The colour was gray and mixed with a little deep green. The window went down, and the person who was in it, reviewed. He looked more prepared for this journey as Grey. “ I thought you would be driving with us, Dolion.” I crossed my hands as I shot a fixed glare at him. Turning off the engine, he banged the door of the car closed and throwing the keys into his deep pocket, from the ever large leather gown he was wearing. Probably because we were going to be in the forest all the way towards Alaska. He smiled. “ I wouldn’t want to stress you dear, Daisie.” he said softly, and he went inside the house to join Grey and Charles. They had been discussing the map since the past thirty minutes. He didn’t bother taking his long black boot off, before steeping into the house. I just winced. Anyway, that was cool. He seemed to have improved since the first time he came, maybe
Daisie POVWe were climbing now. As Grey said, we would get to the point where the trucks won’t be useful anymore as we have to continue the journey with our legs. “ How long are we going to be out here?” I asked as I dip my snowshoe in the snow flakes. “ I’d only packed for three days.” I said to Grey, he was trying to support me by giving me a hand to grip on.I thought he said, we would only be away for three days. But looking at the journey I have a doubt about it, I don’t think it would be just three days out here. “ It depends on our quarry, Daisie.” Grey said. This mountain range covers over four thousand square miles, so it might take a while to get to Alaska. But we could use short cut if there are one. Grey was not very much familiar to this kind of deep forest unlike Dolion.“ There would be a short cut,” Dolion said promptly, he hung his backpack at one side of his shoulder. “ It is still a long distance before we get to the short cut.” he walked behind me, while Grey sta
Daisie POVIt wasn’t time for the sun to set. The atmosphere was dark as night and colder than ever. It was very early in the morning, little birds chirping around the tree, where we’d found a comfortable spot. I hadn’t known when we slept off, but I knew I was in Grey’s arms before my eyes finally shut closed for the night.Below my head if felt something strong and almost soft at the same time, but I didn’t bother to look. I just left my head up and saw Dolion still fast asleep facing the other side of the tree. “ I’m proud to say, I made you gain so much weight, Daisie.” Grey said in his strained voice lowly. Rising up completely, I realized I had slept on his lap all through the night. I looked into his eyes they were way too tired that in few minutes they would shut close, and open for the next five hours. “ Did you stay awake all through the night?” my eyes dilated, I nearly propped up on his lap but I suspected I would be adding more weight to his exhausted body.“ I had to s
Daisie POVGrey steadily became conscious of me as we proceeded with the journey. I wasn’t complaining but he knew I was already getting tired. “ You will need some snacks to munch on,” Grey said. “ It’s too much energy exhausted already taken by the distance. Eat to give the energies back.” he wrapped his snack he didn’t eat last night, for me.“ You will have to join me.” I told him. “ Eat up, Daisie.” he said in a hushed voice.I nodded, taking a bit from the snack. “ Do you want some?” I asked Dolion. He shook his head with a little smile curled up on his lips. “ You are too kind. Eat up, Daisie.” he said. I blinked taking my eyes off the two of them. I was still hearing my wolf fighting inside of me, and it was beginning to get me worried when she ain’t saying a word to me.We were half close to the short cut. And something began to feel weird or maybe everything. I heard a sharp sound coming from miles deep in the forest. I hadn’t caught a smell of it yet. Maybe it was some ani
Daisie POV“ Let’s go quickly!” Dolion lowkey adding pressure to getting far away from the forest, hastily. We were climbing rocks now. He held my wrist firmly as he threw me to the other side. We began running fast dipping our legs into the cold ice, running as if some people were after us. Whereas they was nothing chasing us, and I think we have gone too far enough from that premises. But Dolion ain’t stopping, neither was he letting me rest to catch my breathe from the race.“ This is enough,” I stopped, he was breathing hard, so was I. But he looked determined to continue. “ We’ve gone far enough. If we go too far from here, how would Grey find us?” I protested, trying to take my hands off his grip.“ We can’t stay here. Let’s keep going.” he said, tightening his eyes.“ No, I’m not going any longer. I want to stay here. I will wait for Grey here.” I looked at our back, we have really gone so far. We have been running for the past one hour. Wasn’t this distance enough to wait for
Grey POVThe morning was still so dark as though it was night. I ran into the forest, following the path where I had heard the gun shots and also the smell of silver bullets. Last night, I had stayed all night to guard Daisie and Dolion, someone needed to stay alert of this angry humans. I have to put a stop to all this and who was changing them against their will.My legs were getting tired, but I had not given the permission to let it rest. A big relief flow through my chest that I had Daisie taken from here because it was starting to get deadly cold. Flakes of snows falling on my head as I walked deep into the forest, I could still perceive the smell of the silver bullets. As I went deep, the smell of silver fades. And there were no more bullets shooting up in the forest. I sniffed into the air, but it didn’t smell like there was any human here, it was something different I would rather not react to. I had no clue or any signs leading me into the forest. It seemed I had calculated
