Charles POV

I almost felt regretful for asking. Thank goodness I was able to get rigid of the thoughts and brought those cute smiles back on her face. I finished up with the peppers and other ingredient I might need for the cooking.

“ Do you need help?” she asked, smiling as she folded her hands across her chest, leaning on the kitchen door.

“ No, Aria. This is special for you,” I winked. “ You don’t have to join me. Just watch me.” I told her. Wearing the apron back on me, while I resume mixing the flour.

“ Would you rather go to your room and continue with your books?” I suggested. She nodded, smiling head faced down.

“ Charles..” she called and paused. Biting her lips slowly, still on the same spot. “ You don’t just know how much I’ve grown to be fond of you. I would rather stay here and watch you cook.” she said. I couldn’t help smiling loudly. I remember when she said she needed no one, but her books to keep her busy and happy. Today, this words were falling out of the same lips.
