As usual, Panda King corners me when I am least prepared.

Ever since I returned, I've been spending any free time I have, cooking and doing random chores to keep my thoughts away.

As I clean the chicken meat with the biggest kitchen knife, I hear his voice from behind me.

"Why have you been avoiding me?"

I hack away as I answer without turning around, "I haven't."

"So why have we not spoken properly in a week?"

"It doesn't bother me." I shrug as I continue slicing.

"Tin Gold!" He shouts into my ear and I jump, the huge knife still in my hand. His ocean eyes stare in horror at the knife. When did he come and stand next to me?

"What?" I ask in boredom.

"C-can you put that away first?" He hasn't taken his eyes off the knife.

I grin and put it aside. "Sorry Pan."

Some of the office women still give me flirty looks when I follow Panda King to the company. As usual, I smile and nod at them awkwardly."Pan, you have a meeting in two hours." I read aloud from his schedule."What is it about?" He asks, sitting in his office chair behind his desk."A meeting about the construction of the new mall which..." I stop as he holds up his hand."That's enough. Help me sort through these documents Tin." He says in his authoritative "work" voice.I stare at the huge pile of files and papers piled up on his desk."All these?""Yes. Is there a problem?" He asks with a raised eyebrow."You're helping me right?" I say. There is no way I will be able to get all these edited and handed to him by the end of the day."Of course not. I am sorting out the documen

I groan as the doorbell rings and Panda King shouts at me to check who it is. Does he not have any mercy for an injured person?Stumbling off the sofa, I limp towards the front door. Slowly, I walk down the front driveway and open the front gates.I should have known when I accidentally broke that glass cup this morning that it was an ill omen. From the other side of the gates, the familiar dark haired Mrs King stares at me. Her brown eyes scrutinise me from head to toe making me feel nervous."Welcome Mrs King." I smile anxiously, gesturing for her to enter. She smiles at me but it doesn't reach her eyes. Is something wrong? My brain mentally assesses the situation and I realise what is wrong here.Last time Mr and Mrs King visited, I was a female with long hair and was the girlfriend of their only son. Now, I am "Tin" and probably look like a ma

Keeping Ciarra Lake away proves to be more difficult than I had thought it would be when I confidently made the promise to Panda King. I overhear Mrs King and Ciarra speaking in quiet voices in the kitchen. They must be planning something. Ciarra hasn't spoken to me at all. It has already been two days since they came and I have done my best to be a fishbone stuck in her throat. Pan has been making sure that I am always within an arms length of wherever he is. I have answered for him when she asks questions, blocked off her advances towards him and basically been the third wheel. Mrs King seems to support her to the fullest. So much so that it has not stopped Ciarra from trying to seduce Pan when she thinks I am not in sight. Pan was so frightened that he has been camping inside my room at night in case she comes for him in the dark. Is this the true Ciarra Lake?

She was willing to stay even more than the two days she had already been at the King mansion for. That woman, Tina Gold, had declared herself as a rival by trying to disrupt Ciarra's every attempt at seduction. Ciarra's plans failed due to Tina's nosiness. Why did Panda King have her as his shadow? He didn't even seem annoyed by her presence following him.Ciarra was obviously jealous. As I come to terms with my predicament during my days at Hans', I realise that maybe this is a sign and also the right time to try and get over my feelings for Panda King. Hans brought me my mobile phone from home and the first thing I did was block Panda's number. I should get over him. My feelings won't go anywhere. I stare at my pathetic pale face in the mirror. How many days has it been? I know I am being a coward but I lost something which I had believed to be precious to me. "Tina, come and eat." Hans calls from the other side of the door. "I'm coming." I say and open the door. I have lost my appetite these past days and I don't know if I will be able to eat today. "Don't force yourself if you can't." Hans says gently, bringing the spaghetti to the dining table. "I'll make porridge for you later." I smile. He is truly my guardian ang

"Tina, let's go to the club." Hans says as he arrives home from work."I don't feel like it." I whine."Come on Tina." He pulls me up from the sofa where I was lying on. "You haven't been out in so long. You need to train too, you've lost your strength.""Let's go another day." I moan. I don't want to go anywhere."If you don't go, I'll tell everyone that you're a weak chicken." Hans mocks.I glare at him. He knows I hate people thinking I am weak. "Don't you dare!""Then are you going to come?" He asks raising an eyebrow."Fine. I'll show you that I am not weak at all." I mutter angrily, walking after him.I hadn't realised how much I missed training with Hans here in the club. The students whom he teaches greet us with smiles and excitement. As I start by running on the spot beside Hans, I

Everything is adding up. I remember now. Ciarra Lake came over to the King mansion with Mrs King. Mrs King wasn't hiding the fact that she very much wanted Ciarra to become her daughter-in-law and even used "curing Panda's phobia" as an excuse to bring them closer.Ciarra stayed over for two days, using every opportunity she could find to stick close to Panda. Panda wanted me to block her advances and I obediently did. Then that day, she was getting really close to Panda and offered him some champagne she had brought over.Panda looked uncomfortable and I saved him by barging into the room and snatching the glass from him. I bravely drank the wine, planning to finish it all but Panda took it back from me before I could and finished the rest of it for some reason. The only possible answer here is that Ciarra Lake intentionally spiked the drink. But did she want to drug Panda? Why?I can't think of her

  • His Bodyguard   Chapter 50

My illness seems to have vanished by itself now and I feel completely healthy and fine. I can even eat properly without losing my appetite. Hans seems to have cheered up now that I am better. "Let's go Tina." Hans says happily, pushing me out of the front door. I stare at him in confusion, "Where are we going?" He smirks, "You'll find out when we get there." I scowl at him as I sit in his car, "Just tell me." "Nope." He bops my nose before switching the engine on, "Patience grasshopper." I roll my eyes and relax into the seat. I'll find out when we get there anyway. As we drive further, the familiar streets and roads reveal where he is taking me. "You're taking me home?" I ask in shock. I don't know if I am ready. "Don't look so scared Tina." He pats my thigh. "It's been tw

  • His Bodyguard   Chapter 70

Heart racing and my hands shaking with nervousness, I stand up. The mirror is a long floor length and my white gown flows down my body like a waterfall. The lacy neck adds a touch of elegance to the dress and the trail is shorter than the regular wedding dress' since I want to make sure I don't accidentally trip whilst I walk. As Liana turns around and puts the makeup and hair styling tools back into her bag, I pace around, trying to calm my nerves. "Tina, are you still nervous? Don't worry, everything will be fine. I'll look after baby Carl when you walk down the aisle." Liana says, patting my shoulder comfortingly. Panda and I finally decided on a name for our baby because the parents kept scolding us for calling our son "Cub". Thus, he is now named Carl Martin King. I smile at her, "Thank you. I don't even know why I am so nervous." I admit. I haven't been feeling well since last night. It must be what the

Sleeping in the same room as Panda King feels different. It's different from all the times in the past when I was "Tin" and it's different from the night at the island. My nerves are everywhere as he wraps his arm around me and hugs me to him as I lie on my side. Cub is sleeping in his Moses basket which my father already prepared for him. I am surprised how easily my dad accepted my baby and Panda. I thought he would continue with his cold, stern father charade for longer. "You're not asleep yet are you?" He asks quietly. I close my eyes and pretend to sleep. I feel him moving his body even closer, his warmth against my back. "I know you can't sleep." He whispers into my ear, causing my body to shiver. I try to stay still but he gently turns me over until we are facing each other. "Open your eyes or I will kiss you." He teases. Damn it! Not

Once the doctor has made sure that I am fine, Panda holds my hand and takes me to the Neonatal ward. The nurse gently picks up a sleeping Cub and hands him over to me. It feels both wonderful and fascinating as I feel my child in my arms."It's best to feed him your own breast milk for the first year, then he can be weaned onto baby food later." She explains as my eyes are still fixated on him.I nod absentmindedly, too busy gazing at this cute baby. "Yes.""Thank you for taking care of Cu-our son." Panda says with a smile. He wraps his arm softly around my waist and gently manoeuvres me out of the room."He is so cute." I say quietly, touching Cub's soft hair."Just like his dad." Panda grins.I chuckle, "No way, he obviously takes after his mum.""Of course. His mother is the most beautiful woman." Panda hugs me to him. "I'm glad

With my face damp, I wake up. Did I have a nightmare again? Why is my body hurting? Sitting up slowly, I glance around. I am not in my room. My hand has a familiar drip injected inside. Why am I in the hospital again? Touching my bump, I gasp. Why does it feel so light? Where is my baby?! Crying as thoughts cloud my mind, I hurriedly pull off the drip from my hand and climb out of the hospital bed, ignoring the pain in my stomach. The door suddenly opens as I run towards it and an exhausted looking Panda King stares at me with wide eyes. I run pass him, trying to leave the room so I can find a doctor and find out what is happening. I am so confused. "Tina! Tina, please calm down." Panda says as he holds me in his arms, preventing me from leaving. He worriedly holds my hand. "You're bleeding. Please listen to me Tina and sit down. Let me sort your hand out." My body feels cold as I stare

Seeing Panda King via video call does not satisfy my heart. I miss being with him but to carry out our plan and get the evidence from Ciarra Lake, I have to sacrifice my time with Panda.Of course Hans is still angry about me going to see Panda but he has started talking to me again. I returned home and lied to my dad about having some gastric issue. I still can't tell him I am pregnant.I don't meet Panda for a few weeks. It's a day where I am uselessly lounging around the house when Panda video calls me. Smiling happily, I accept the call and gaze at his handsome face.He looks extremely excited about something as he grins widely. "I've done it Tina!"Confused, I raise my eyebrows, "Done what?""I finally got hold of the evidence Ciarra had. I have gathered all the CCTV footage from the house too. The kitchen footage is pretty interesting." He says.I

  • His Bodyguard   Chapter 65

"Pan, is Ciarra really your wife now?" His sister Liana King asks as she pushes her blonde hair back. Liana has been worried lately. Ever since the ruined wedding, Ciarra Lake insisted and demanded to move into Panda King's mansion and live as his wife.Panda shrugs at his sister, "In her dreams.""You don't care for her, not even a little?" Liana asks curiously as she drinks the milk."No. I only love..." Panda hesitates. Will Liana get upset if Panda tells her the truth about Tin being a woman? He knows his sister has a crush on "him"."Who?" Liana asks with wide eyes. "Come on Pan, tell me." She begs."Someone." Panda says mysteriously. He doesn't want to upset his younger sister. She will find out soon anyway."What are you guys talking about? Shall we eat together?" Ciarra's annoyingly cheery voice says as she walks into the kitchen.

  • His Bodyguard   Chapter 64

The dreaded day finally arrives where I have to leave Panda King. I shouldn't be feeling this unhappy and upset given that this is all my plan and Panda is helping me by willingly sacrificing himself. All the way through the ferry ride back to the mainland, I had held hands with Panda and slept on his shoulder, afraid of when I will be able to be this close to him again."Don't cry Tina." Panda hugs me to him as my tears fall out of my eyes. "It won't take long. I'll come to get you soon."I wrap my arms around his back and cry into his chest. Why does this man have the power to weaken me so easily?"It feels like a dream." I mumble against him, "The island.""Don't worry about me," Panda pats my back in comfort, "I'll get the evidence and put her behind bars.""Come back to me quickly." I say through tears, "If you don't hurry back, I might decide to get married to Hans."

TW: Slightly 18+ Content _____________________________ After staying at the island with Panda King for a few days, I have discovered that he has learnt new skills and improved himself into a better man than which I had thought. "Open your mouth love." He says gently as he holds the spoon out towards my mouth. I stare at him incredulously, "I'm not ill Pan, I can eat by myself." He shakes his head, "I have to take extra care of you right now. What would I do if you got hurt? Just let me feed you." Staring at the bowl of soup in his hand, I warily ask, "Is it edible?" "Of course it is! You don't know how long I practiced cooking after you left. I can make a decent meal now." He puts the spoon of soup into my mouth as I obediently eat. "Of course not as good as you love." I blush as he feeds me. I am stil
