“She probably just went out for a walk. Please calm down”. James said to pacify Dario who was panting and walking in circles, trying to be patient and not jump to conclusions but his heart could not help it. “It’s been hours James. Don’t tell me that”. Dario said to James in a dangerously low tone that had James shutting his mouth with his hands in the air in surrender. Deep inside of him he knew that something was up because he kept thinking about that hug. She let him hug her for longer than she should and as great as it was, it felt like a goodbye. Running like an arrow through the wind, Dario got to the garden to check on the vines. Those vines would be the make or break moment because he knew that if they were not present at the locations he placed them, that meant Marissa had kept her promise to leave him. The thought already making his heart beat erratically. His first location were the greenery behind the window of her room. He got there and saw the vines he placed there
Marissa’s P.O.VI’ve been running and running for days now. The monsters are everywhere. Exhaustion is creeping in like a parasite, eating me up minute by minute. I knew it would be hard but I never anticipated it’ll be this hard, but I was still thankful. Thankful that I did not leave before I got my powers because I would’ve been dead an hour after I left the pack house gardens. On that fateful day I left the pack, I went in the opposite direction than what Amelia proposed, knowing that she could never have my best interest at heart but instead, I fell into her trap. She intentionally told me to go the other way knowing I wouldn’t. The thought made me clench my teeth as I ran. It’s on sight whenever I see her again.I could not even tell what it was that was chasing me but it was fast, and I was too. I hadn’t even noticed that I had superspeed amongst all other powers which was very strange as it was not one of the powers I should have but it came in handy and I was so gratef
Dario’s P.O.VI can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can’t think, I can’t even remember the last time I washed up. I miss her so much that my heart feels like it’s failing. I’m sure my people would be so disappointed and my enemies may be saying;“How the mighty have fallen”. All my life, I had been around mates and saw how deep their affection was, but for some reason I thought I was more sensible, that I would be different. I even called them fools and horn dogs due to how dependent and vulnerable they were in the open with their mates, but here I am. I fully understand them now. The saying; “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone” was the truest thing. So many what if’s were running through my mind as I wallowed in self pity.“What if I just showed her how much I loved her?”“What if I had just acted as her mate and not just a king, she may have stayed”“What if I had not locked her up without even listening to what she had to say?”“What if I had just left the throne once I fou
Marissa’s P.O.VIt’s been 7 days now in this hell of a place. It was a maze that had no way out. I have fought so many creatures, most of which I believed only existed in books and fairytales. A giant gorilla, a goblin, a werewolf, and even a fairy. The wind, the sky, the trees, and pain had become the new normal for me. It was so crazy that I could not remember the last time I rested for an hour. The exhaustion was creeping up on me fast but was not as fast as the creatures that all seemed to find me like I was a magnet that attracted them to me. I was hurt, tired, angry, annoyed and scared all at the same time. A part of me hoped to be saved by Dario but I also knew deep down that it would take massive effort, and was almost impossible to find me in this maze. I had levitated as high as I could about a day ago to see through the forest, on the best route to take in order to escape this hell but all I saw were trees and trees for miles and miles away. The sight brought tears
Barging into the main gate to the pack house with long angry strides, Dario called for Amelia. “Amelia, report to my office now!”. He said out loud, his voice thundering through the several kilometers that the pack house stood on. Sand falling from some places in the house as the ground shook with the force in his voice. This time he did not bother to reduce its impact for the children. By the time he got to his office, a shivering Amelia was already there. She sped there as fast as she could after hearing just how angry he was. The force of his summoning had everyone scared and trembling, including James. He knew that Dario was ready to bring the place to the ground with that anger he felt and so he too ran to Dario’s office. “How dare you?!”. He asks, his voice booming like a loud speaker at the highest volume. His alpha pheromones were all out without restraint and it had Amelia cowering into a full bow with her head to the ground in submission, but that just angered Dario.
Fighting off that witch was a battle she never imagined she would win. The woman was more than sinister white get worse features being the extraordinary power she wielded. Marissa did not even have the chance to try to leave the cave when the witch viscously attacked her. It was the most scary dream she had ever had.She had heard of nightmares but this took the crown in her opinion. The witch grabbed her neck with lightning speed and before Naridsa could register anything, she was already about four feet into the air. Remembering that she could fight back and could land safely, she tried to ease herself back to the ground but the witch was faster. She summoned a bug Boulder that appeared out of nowhere and struck marissa. Digging her almost six feet deep. Panting and out of it, Marissa takes a fighting stance, ready to fight back but this time, her hands felt like much. She couldn’t use it. Not just that but she was tripping on air. It was so bizzare but she continued fighti
It was impossible for Dario to go back to default setting, leading the pack as the strong Aloha he always was. Now, he was present but absent at the same time. He was where his people needed him to be, but was not himself no matter how hard he tried. “The 3 major zones have 50 guards each searching for Luna. Also-“. The leader of the council paused, seeing that Dario was not listening to anything they were talking about. It hurt the elder because he was also one of the reasons Marissa left. He made his leader this way and regretted it so much. “Let us postpone this meeting till next time”. The Elder spoke slowly with a sigh still looking at the absent minded Alpha Dario had come to be. Everyone nodded and walked out without a single complaint of question. It was obvious to everyone that it was the loss of his Nate that had affected him so.Even a fool could see that. Still staring out the window, a heavy sigh fell out of his lips replacing the tears that threatened to fall. Co
Today was the first time I truly felt fear. I thought I had been through it but those were watered down fears. Goosebumps rose on my skin as I ran at the highest speed I could, pummeling through the forest like the fastest car alive but he was right behind me. My heart thundered like it had never done before. My teeth also clatter together as I ran. The adrenaline from the fear made me run so fast everything was a blur. That was until my breath was knocked out of me by this creature. He had appeared in front of me despite my crazy speed. “No no no!”. I cried as I scrambled backwards in the dirt that was now coating the blood that covered the skin of my legs from his attack. I’ve always been one to show bravery in danger. I have never cried even when I was tortured but here I was quivering like a new brok feeble child. The creature in front of me, taking his time to walk to me was far from a creature from its looks. It was a man, the most beautiful man one could ever see in
