Flashback

As Marissa left the dining room, her only thought was:

“I’ll be out of here soon”.

She had already drawn a map of the pack using her heightened senses, photographic memory and using the creature whose specialty was to hide in the shadows.

The art of escaping was nothing new to her as she had attempted to escape her previous captors severally but was always caught and tortured till she was near death.

Flashback

Everytime they were released to take a bath was the only time Marissa could see a place different from her cell. However, they never saw the sun or knew what fresh air felt like but she knew that air was at least coming from somewhere or else, they wouldn’t be able to survive, and she scanned.

Acting like she was falling from exhaustion but instead she was just scanning. The falling earned her some hits by the guards.

“Stand up you weakling”. They ordered hitting her with the back of their guns. It hurt like her head was smashed into the wall but she continued and fell again
