CHAPTER 72

Adrian drove Audrey to the vacation house.

"Are you hungry?" Adrian asked

"A bit, I should have gotten take outs from that restaurant." Audrey said

"That's okay. Let's take a shower and then I can take you out." Adrian said

"Okay." Audrey smiled

After changing their clothes Adrian and Audrey decided to stroll out for dinner.

"Audrey, I want to tell you something." Adrian said

"What is it?" Audrey asked

"I think I found out something."

"About what?" Audrey asked

"It's about people from the council." Adrian said

"The council?"

"Yes, they're a set of people from really powerful families." Adrian explained

"What do they do?" Audrey asked

"They preside over cases, also... They protect people like us."

"You mean people with powers?" Audrey asked

"Yes."

"Why are you telling me about them?" Audrey asked

"Because I think your mom is a part of them..."

"You've met my mother?" Audrey asked

"Not personally but I had rumors." Adrian said

"Did you find anything else out?"

"No, not really
