CHAPTER 5

Back in Josephine and Maxine's room Nolan was speaking to Josephine but she didn't want to look at him.

"Josephine give me one good reason why you did this?" Nolan asked

"I did it because of you dad. What were you expecting?"

"Because of me?"

"Yes you. Audrey's your favourite, and you're treating your own girls like trash." Josephine said

"Is that what you believe? I love you and Maxine I love you all equally."

"No you don't dad because I don't I don't see it." Josephine said

"Even if you believe I love Audrey more than you two it gives you no right to hurt her."

"I wish she had died." Josephine said

"No you don't mean that."

"Yes I do."

"You're... You're impossible. I can't believe you." Nolan said surprised

"I don't care what you believe anymore dad." Josephine said

"She doesn't mean that." Maxine said walking in

"Stay out of it Maxine somehow you're also a daddy's girl believing you're the good one and I'm the evil one."

"Maybe you are just that, evil. But still dad's right you shouldn't have hurt Audrey."

"I wish she were dead she stole dad's love, Adrian."

"You know you should stop daydreaming about Adrian he never liked girls and he definitely wouldn't fall for you." Maxine said

"What about Audrey what makes her special?" Josephine asked

"That's for a mans heart to decide and not mine." Maxine said walking out she had already had dinner and thought she could rest before the assembly but she guess she was wrong.

"Apologize to Audrey." Nolan said

"No."

"Do that before dinner is over." Nolan said walking out

'Always taking her side like she's some illegitimate child of his.' Josephine thought throwing stuffs from the table down

'Jo, please don't spoil my stuffs. And you know I can hear your thoughts right?' Maxine communicated

'Go screw yourself Max. And stay out of my head.' Josephine said via telepath

'You almost exploded mine with your irrational anger. Just so there's peace do as dad tells you.'

'I don't care.'

'I'm sure you do.' Maxine said disconnecting Josephine's thoughts from hers

At the school auditorium everyone was seated and soon Lucy and Nolan walked in.

"Welcome students I'm sure you might all be wondering why you're here. Believe me I'm just as surprised as you all. But I just want to remind all of you. In Dream high we are all family. Politicians out there wouldn't really understand us you know why? Because they are not like us to them we might be threat to national security. But we don't hurt them do we? Because we are better than that even though we know they wouldn't hesitate to kill us." Nolan said

"But coming back home. It is unfortunate that we would want to go as far as hurt each other. We are not being haunted by humans but instead we are hunting ourselves. Miss Lucy would take up the rest." Nolan said leaving the podium

"Like your principal rightly said. Hurting and hunting ourselves, that's against the rules of this institution. It is well know that dark magic should not be used against another student. But that rule was violated today. Josephine and Liana violated those rules today by breaking someone's arms. As punishment they would both be suspended for a week and coming back they'll have a few other works cut out for them. Remember dark magic is not something you toy and dabble with." Lucy said

"Final words Josephine and Liana would apologize to Audrey for their behavior." Nolan added

"The principal is right I almost forgot. Please step toward." Lucy said

Josephine and Liana walked towards the podium

"You can now apologize we don't have all day." Lucy said

"I'm sorry Audrey." Liana said after calming her self for a while seeing that Josephine didn't want to speak Liana gave her a nudge

"Yes were both sorry, Audrey please forgive us." Josephine finally said

"Also miss vice principal I would not want my punishment and that of Liana to be the same I asked her to do it so whatever punishment you want too give split hers in two." Josephine added

"That seems fair. I..." Lucy was about to say something else but Liana chipped in

"No... We both did it we're just as guilty as the other punish us accordingly." Liana said leaving the podium

"Okay then... Everyone return to your normal activities and don't stay up past curfew." Lucy said and everyone began exiting the auditorium. Everyone began exiting the auditorium with murmurs

"I'll talk to you tomorrow and introduce you to our little group." Greta said

"Oh okay." Audrey said heading straight to her room unknown to her she had a stalker.

Audrey decided to use her wolf senses. She separated smells and realized who was coming behind her

"You're behind me aren't you Adrian?" She asked

"I got caught."

"For a vampire and wolf you're pretty slow." Audrey said with a smile

"I was stalking I couldn't possible go ahead of you." Adrian said

"So you admit it?" Audrey said but Adrian didn't want to answer her question

"See you tonight."

"Wait you're coming?" Adrian asked surprised

"I thought you asked me to come and you wanted to ditch me?" Audrey asked

"I thought you wanted to rest cause you're injured."

"I'm fine see you later." Audrey said walking into her room.

When it was nine Audrey went to the woods. Their school was situated a bit far from town. And so they were surrounded by a forest.

Audrey sniffed using her wolf senses but she felt something was wrong she was about to follow that feeling when Adrian tapped her by the shoulder

"You're late." Adrian said

"You two."

"Let's go for a run."

"I always win as usual" Audrey said with a smug smile

"I'm just wondering why you always win." Adrian said

"That's because I'm a better wolf than you." Audrey said proudly

"That.."

"Oh come on don't tell me you're scared already?" Audrey teased transforming to her wolf self she was a silver wolf. Adrian pissed transformed into his wolf self a white wolf. As if on cue they both began to run they ran for about a mile and there it was the finish line just out of reach and Audrey crossed it first with Adrian closely behind her.

Audrey transformed back into and walked towards a backpack that was kept there by them.

"Almost as good, you've improved." Audrey said with a smug look

"I know you're staring at my body." Audrey said even though was backing him she decided to use her witch powers she snapped her fingers and she was wearing a nice track suit. Feeling awkward Adrian decided to change the subject he couldn't possibly admit he was gawking.

"I almost beat you this time and I know that I will."

"You can change into something from the backpack I'll wait for you." Audrey said leaving him. She wanted to think about what she felt earlier but..

"Hey what are you thinking about?" Adrian asked

"I can't actually think you're always interrupting. Let's go back." Audrey said and they began walking back. They occasionally spoke about random things. Until Adrian decided her needed to tell her something since they were almost at the school.

"Audrey!"

"Yes."

"I wanted to say..." Adrian said walking a bit closer to her he felt like kissing her but Audrey's scream brought him back to reality.

"Are you okay?"

"What time is it?" Audrey asked weakly

"It's almost 11 why?"

"Oh no doctor Allen asked me to take some pills I never thought the effects of the magic would be this strong."

"I'll help you back." Adrian said wanting to carry her.

"Get me my medicine I'll only slow you down and I might pass out too. It's on my bedside table. Run, run."

"Shit." Adrian said leaving her and running as fast as he could.

Audrey opened her door using her mind, since she had locked it with magic. If it remind that way it would be impossible for Adrian to enter

"I'm sorry it's all my fault." Adrian said as he rushed back with the pills

"Why is everyone suddenly apologizing that's unusual." Audrey said weakly ignoring her he gave her the pills and two minutes later she began breathing normally

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have let you come with me." Adrian said remorsefully

"I wanted to. Now help me up I want to go to my room and rest." Audrey extended her hand but Adrian carried her in bridal style and took her to her room she didn't protest but allowed him.

Two weeks later Josephine returned to school and Audrey was fully back on her feet.

It was late at night and Audrey decided to go for a walk whatever she felt two weeks back on her run with Adrian was still bugging her. Looking around wouldn't hurt right. Soon she felt that presence again. And this time Josephine startled her

"My God Josephine what the hell are you doing here?"

"I should be asking you the same question." Josephine said folding her hands across her chest

"I don't think it's safe here."

"Jo, where are you?" Maxine asked

"I'm here Max."

"You both should head back to school."

"Oh really no. I don't care if it's safe or not." Josephine said and Maxine just stood next to her cause she didn't understand what was going on.

*growling*

"Oh my God what the hell is that?"
