Two red lines. It only means one thing. Positive. I am pregnant. Six weeks has passed since that night and it has been one month and two weeks since the last time I saw the young master.

I placed the pregnancy test on top of granite counter and stared at my reflection in the circular mirror at the bathroom. A lot has change with all those days and weeks that went by.

I dress myself diffirently now and Miss Jane enrolled me to an etiquette class. It was an order from the young master she said. Miss Jane speak to me about all the commands that she gets from the young master as if they casually talk each day when I haven't heard anything from him myself. If it weren't for the ring and the fact that I am staying in the Luciano's chateau. I would have thought that the young master abandoned me, not just me by his child that I am carrying.

A knock against the closed door of the bathroom brought me back to reality. Miss Jane knows that I am doing a pregnancy test.

"Miss Ava, are you okay? I am coming in!" She said. In time with me turning to the door. She managed to open it with the spare key that she always has in her pocket.

"I-I was going to open the door," I said to her. Miss Jane's eyes were in constant look for something and when I realized what she was looking for. I slowly move away from the sink for her to see the pregnancy test that I left on the granite counter top.

"I-I am pregnant," I told her. My eyes could just be playing with me right now but she looked like someone whose world is crumbling down on her feet.

Miss Jane pulled me to a warm hug and not because she is happy for me but because it feels like it is the only thing that she can do for me right now. I could feel her heart breaking for me.

"Is it because you find me too young to become a mother?" I asked her. She stared at me, hesitation filling her to the brim. She held me by my shoulder and smiled but the spark on her lip didn't reach her eyes.

"You are going to be a mother now, Miss Ava. It is your duty to protect your child. He deserve a better life than this," she said, her words hides a meaning that I need to decipher on my own.

Miss Jane let go of my hand. She took the pregnancy kit from the counter top and she handed it to me.

"The young master would be delighted to know that you now carry his heir." My heart instantly rejoice and my eyes were quick to ask a confirmation whether I got it right.

"The young master is finally back home? Since when?" I asked but I was too excited that my fiance is back home. That I could tell him in person my pregnancy that I couldn't wait for Miss Jane to answer my question. My feet came to life and move on their own for me to find him.

Running down the stairs. Butler Jurie said something but my emotions is spiraling in my head that I didn't quite catch it.

"Where is the young master?" I asked him. I came from the master's bedroom but he wasn't there. The Luciano Chateau is huge that it would took me a while to find the young master without Butler Jurie's help.

"The young master is talking to a friend in the pool." I wasted no time and sprinted my way towards the pool that is situated on the left wing of the mansion.

Holding the door and is on the act of opening it. My eyes widened and my insides trembles in fear as the young master Augustus raise his hand, a gun on it aiming for the head of the man in black suit that he was just talking to. Fear crossed his eyes and he immediately kneel in front of Augustus, begging to spare his life and give him one more chance.

From where I am standing. I could clearly see what's happening and hear them too.

Something in me urge to show myself in hope that it might stop the young master from shooting the man but before I could make any noise for my presence to be known. He had pull the trigger. The lifeless body of the stranger ends up floating in pool and his blood started to color the water.

My heart skipped a beat and I broke down in fear as a hand covers my mouth and pulled me away from the glass door before the young master could see me.

Miss Jane pinned me to the wall. She placed her forefinger against her lip telling me not to create noises.

"I'll remove my hand against your lips but you cannot make any noise. He should never know that you saw what happened in the pool."

Breathing deepl and tears constantly falling from my eyes. I couldn't keep my eyes on her. Looking around, I need to be sure that the young master wouldn't suddenly pop behind me or behind Miss Jane.

"He killed a person. He shoot him right in the head. I saw it! Aren't you going to report what happened to the police? I just witnessed him murder someone, Miss Jane!" The moment I burst out of tears. She covered my lips and once again reminded me to hush myself.

"The young master adores you. You are his new obsession and unless you want the same thing to happen to you. The only option that you has now is to act fool. You know nothing, Ava. You didn't see anything."

Shaking my head. I started to cry once more as she shake my shoulder urging me to listen to her.

"I can't... h-how can I do that? It will haunt me forever, Miss Jane."

"I know but the Luciano are a powerful clan they got the authority right on their palm. They are the law here, Ava. I'll help you, okay? We'll seek the perfect chance for you to escape from here after that you must hide. You and your baby. You have to hide his child from him, Ava."
