“Give her a straight answer Billy or I’ll show you what I can do!” Ann threatened from behind me. Billy’s face creased at the threat and then his smile was back as he blew a kiss at her.
I saw Joe and Ben come out of the forest at a slower pace than what’s normal for them. “Never mind, I see him,” I said walking towards them. It took a few minutes but I got close enough to shout. “What happened?” I called out.
“Why?” Joe asked with a smile.
“One you are smiling and two,” I looked at my watch, “You are twenty seven minutes late.”
“I always smile,” he defended himself coming to a stop in front of me.
“Yes. But when you smile like that it’s because you want to hide something from us.” I stared past him at Ben; he was a few feet behind Joe with his head down and his arm across his chest, “What’s wrong with him?&rdquo
