There was a wrinkle of worry and guilt visible on Damon's face. It was very difficult for him to guess that the gift had come from his son.

Now, if he said anything, he would get into trouble, so Damon kept his mouth shut.

"Dad, could you please send flowers to Pretty Lady? Since it's my first day in her house, I should bring a gift for her," Dante asked his father, who was standing still, looking at him.

Damon nodded before saying, "Okay, I will."

"But make sure to send roses. She likes roses," Dante insisted. "And put my name on the card. Who knows if that madman will be there again today and burn the flowers without reason?"

Damon felt a pang of embarrassment, realizing that this secret could never come out. If Dante found out the truth, he'd give him difficult glances for sure.

"Don't worry, this time if he does it again, we'll get to see his face because there are cameras on the street," Payne told Dante. "And then we'll teach him a lesson. What do you say?"
