Chapter 940

Lydia sat in her car for a long while, lost in thought, before finally stepping out and walking into the hotel. Memories of that fateful day filled her mind, but she could not recall the room number since she had not booked it herself. However, the date was etched in her memory.

She had no idea what she intended to do; perhaps she was just avoiding going home. Lydia approached the reception and asked about the room Henry had booked under his name on that particular day.

The receptionist hesitated, as customer information was confidential, but Lydia pulled out 1,500 dollars in cash.

Fortunately, Henry had used his real name for the reservation. Otherwise, she might not have found it.

"Room 1006," the receptionist finally said.

"Is the room still available?" Lydia inquired.

"It is," the receptionist replied, puzzled about what that stunningly beautiful woman was up to. It did not seem like a typical cheating spouse scenario.

"I'm taking the room tonight."

"Of course!"
