"But even though I promised to help your mom, I did ask for something in return."

"What did you ask for?" Lydia asked.

"I told her to transfer all her Miller Group shares to you."

"Wait; is she willing to do that?" Lydia was taken aback. She knew the Miller Group was in serious trouble.

She doubted if Jennifer would give it up easily.

"Yes, she's willing. Come over if you have time in the next couple of days," Henry replied.

"I have things to do today, but I'll come first thing tomorrow," Lydia said promptly. She had not shown up because she was trying to figure things out, and she also wanted her mom to reflect on what she had done.

"Sounds good. We'll talk more when you're here."
