Chapter 1554

Henry shook his head and walked outside, feeling slightly unsettled. He never expected Lydia's background to be that. He wondered if John knew about her history; maybe he did not. Otherwise, why would John treat her with such care?

Jennifer was right about one thing—Lydia did not need to know. So, Henry did not plan to tell her. He needed to find out the facts and could not rely on what Jennifer said. If it turned out that Lydia had indeed been abandoned by her birth mother, it probably would not be appropriate to tell her.

He decided to wait and see.

As Henry walked out, Jennifer glared at his back, angered that Henry had mistreated her even though he was rich.

However, given Henry's status, she could elevate her status if only she could get close to him. No matter what, she needed to find a way to leverage her relationship with Lydia to reclaim the Miller Group.
