As Carson walked away decisively, Lydia's face paled, and she sat back dazed.

"I apologize for saying this, Lydia. But why are you still involved with someone like Henry? He'll harm you eventually. No, he has already harmed you." Lewis sighed.

"I hadn't expected him to show up today. Can we do something else?" Lydia asked.

Lewis said, "Let me try."

Lewis realized that Henry's appearance would prevent them from succeeding. They needed to do something else.

"I will go after him. Wait here for me," Lewis said.

"Okay." Lydia agreed, concerned that Carson would not want to see her.

As Lewis was about to head downstairs, he noticed Henry.

He was right; Henry had been keeping an eye on him. That made him angry.

Without Lydia present, Lewis revealed his true colors. He said coldly, "You're persistent, aren't you?"

"You're the persistent one. How can you target my wife?" Henry responded calmly.

"So what? I did put drugs in her drink. Even if you knew about it, who would believe you?
