Duan and Neri walked past our hiding place. Thankfully, they didn't have our senses to detect us. As soon as they had passed, Adriana and I slipped out and headed upstairs. Once safely inside our room, we found Tyler and Avril already waiting. If I couldn't see Tyler's mark on Avril's neck, I would have already known they were marked based on their combined scents.

"Congratulations," gushed Adriana, beating me by a mere second.
