3. I See You

Fallon stayed to herself outside of the pack home.

She hated crowds and wanted to limit her interactions until her eighteenth birthday, so that she wouldn't have to hide the fact that Nella was already with her.

Her house was protected by a golden enchanted fence sitting two stories high that held everything she needed to enjoy herself until she deemed going out in public to be safe.

Two rooms filled with extravagant clothing, shoes, high-end makeup, and accessories.

She remembered loving to play dress up and looking her absolute best ever since she was a little girl.

It was a privilege taken from her during her bout with slavery, so she decided she would look her best each day now. 

She stood in her magazine worthy kitchen, popping popcorn and making sure the slushie machine was working properly for movie night.

Chance handled all the guests arriving due to the temporary acceptance into the Alpha’s home for the event tonight.

Kyle was on grill duty, which meant the meat would be cooked perfectly tonight. 

Fin made sure all the toppings were squared away.

Casi handled all the other drinks, including the adult beverages.

Heather made sure the snacks were in stock. 

Mya was in charge of making sure the nachos were in abundance.

They had just reached fifty thousand members and the Mythical Council would arrive tomorrow, and this meant it was time to become an accepted pack and procure more land. 

Music flowed through the speakers as Fallon danced along with Mya on the way to the food table.

Close friends would be allowed in today, and tomorrow they would celebrate with the pack and their visitors.

Security would be taken care of by the upgraded electronics the humans had installed with the new AI security system.

Such a marvelous thing it was!

It showed them red dots of light if an unaccepted person had breached their territory.

Accepted visitors showed up as green dots, while members showed up as a light yellow.

This gift helped them so much throughout the last couple of years.

Along with the double magic barrier around their lands and her Alpha senses shared with her team, she believed that the event would go off without so much as a hiccup.

Fallon was greatly blessed, and one of the witches granted her the aged document on the prophecy she said she believed was about Fallon.

It depicted her fathers death and her time within slavery.

It also told of her mate being the King of Alphas, the same title her father once held before he was betrayed by the Southern Alliance.

Word had gotten back to her that Selene's mate had taken the title to hold it for his son, the same son who would step into her territory tomorrow.

How could he hold an additional title along with being the God of War, the man was surely busy as heck. 

Apollo sat in the car with his father on his way to the hidden Arcadia pack.

He was super curious about the Mad Alpha, and even his wolf, Smoke, was raging to see her.

He knew something was up when his father didn’t give him an option for coming along on this trip, as his father rarely left his mother’s side in the god realm.

He was tempted to go there to hide out, but his mother had blocked him from traveling there.

Anywhere else his parents could easily find him. 

He was tempted to run and hide with Lucy, he missed her. 

Being astonished as they entered into the territory of Arcadia would be a gross understatement.

He’d never seen anything like it in his sixteen years! Some of the creatures here were presumed to be extinct long ago.

The only way Arcadia would fall was the same way Destiny fell, by betrayal.

Apollo didn’t think anyone would be dumb enough to attempt that, as it was prophesized that the Mad Alpha was bestowed with gifts even before her wolf was due to appear, and that she would be a strong force to be reckoned with.

She would be almost indestructible!

However, everyone has a weakness, even this fantastical Mad Alpha.

Many Alphas had banded together in hopes of finding them, but no one could seem to get close enough in order to actually figure out what these weaknesses were supposed to be, and it seemed that the only option was to wait for her mate.

“A place without lack, it's absolutely astonishing…”

The King sighed.

“Father, what is that?”

Apollo asked of the bulbous looking puppy dog face creature that swiftly shifted into a beautiful woman that leaned up against a tree that seemed to sway and bend without a breath of wind in the air.

“Son, that's a selkie. It was said to not exist at one point. It is interesting to find that it's here. This place is magical! I wish your mother would have told me …”

“Oh my love, I wanted to! But I also wanted you to experience this for yourself …”

“Mother, can I explore?”

“No my son, you must wait for permission. It would be disrespectful for you to walk around without a proper greeting.”

“I guess you are right, I will wait till we have a proper greeting!”

The car soon pulled up to a massive warehouse on the edge of town.

The Mythical Council exited their vehicles and were led inside by Beta Chance.

As soon as Apollo passed the doors of the warehouse, he was enveloped in the sweet and hypnotic floral blend of smells with notes of lush magnolia, that smelled slightly of a sweet but light citrusy lemon that tickled his nose.

As he progressed further into the building, nose working overtime, he was hit with a slight scent of gardenia which he noted smelled slightly of orange blossoms and jasmine.

Each wave of the smells that washed over him was very different, but tied in together well as a warm smokey woodsy smell washed over him.

He went insane as the smells gathered into his nose and rushed to his brain, wafting around and warming him from the inside as he ran around sniffing everything and everyone.

Smoke forced control to run around and sniff inside the building.

“We have to find her, she’s here!”

“Who’s here?”

“MATE!”

Smoke screamed at the young girl sitting on the throne surrounded by subordinates.

The girl's outer ring of her eyes flashed golden as she leaped up and screamed

“MATE!”

Everyone was startled as it dawned on them that the Mad Alpha had her wolf, that her mate was the future Alpha King, and that her inlaws were the Moon Goddess and God of War.

This was unprecedented!   

The Alpha King watched as his son slowly approached this stranger, when it all suddenly clicked as the pieces fell into place in his mind.

He reached out a hand and stopped his son in his tracks.

“State your name!”

She looked at him brazenly!

“My name is Alpha Princess Fallon Marie Vault, daughter of the fallen Alpha King and Luna Vault of Destiny … “

"I’ve been searching for you for years, a body was laid before me and Jacob said it was you. Did he intentionally lie to me?”

“Jacob hid me in Xenon to force me to become his mate when I turned eighteen. Alpha Fraiser purchased me from the innkeeper without his knowledge because he thought I was cursed. I was bought to be his son’s playtoy. I escaped and rebuilt my home. Why were you looking for me?”

“You don’t remember me do you?”

“No, I don’t …” “I’m your godfather, do you remember a man calling you Liberty when you were younger?” 

Suddenly visions came rushing back to her as a voice told her

“Stay calm my child! It's time to move on to the next stage, it's time to claim your mate and be happy.”

“I can’t be with him, being with him will only bring him danger. Jacob will come for me until I kill him. Alpha Fraiser is still searching for me. Being mated to me is dangerous!”

“We will take care of these issues as a family …”

Fallon watched the young man, her mate.

She didn’t think she had a mate, but he was hers!

All hers!

He was really hers!

She slowly walked towards him, reaching out, touching his hand.

The sparks were visible to the naked eye when they touched.

The Alpha King spoke.

“You may only complete the bond when you both are eighteen, how old are you?”

”Fifthteen, I’ll be sixteen in a couple of months…”

“Very well, would you like Apollo to stay here until the time comes? Apollo, would you like to stay?”

Apollo looked at Fallon, tilting his head to the side a little …

“I would like to stay if you’ll have me.”

“I’d like it if you stayed.”

“So, Apollo will stay, his mother and I will check in on him weekly. If we aren’t allowed to check on him, he won’t stay!”

“That's fine, you're now my family and I give access to only you two to come and go as you please. Your wife has been a great help to me, I wouldn’t be here today without her guidance.”

Selene appeared by the Alpha King's side and smiled at Fallon.

“My child, it's been a while since we last spoke. We must speak quickly, the time is almost near! He’s coming for you soon and you must be prepared. Only when you two are united will your packs be stronger.”
