(Still, the flashback by Elara’s pov:)

I had turned eighteen. I was still the same fat girl who wasn’t needed by anyone.

Noah was kind enough to offer to take me on dates everywhere.

Yup. Everyone had a boyfriend except me.

So, to keep my integrity, Noah was a blessing in disguise. I know it was shallow of me to think this way. Vicky and Aiden had become a hit couple in our school. Aiden still used to stare at me and now I knew why.

He used to find me cute. Almost like a little sister. There used to be affection in his eyes. Vicky's attitude started changing with me from the day she officially announced that she and Aiden were dating each other.

Once or twice, Noah used to give the impression to others that he was kissing me when in actuality we used to murmur until the witnesses walked past us.

He had been a great help and a great friend.

We started hanging out more.

It had been two years since I had observed Aiden and Vicky hanging around together. And every time I used to se

(Elara’s pov: Still the flashback) “Can you please stop crying?” Noah asked me, wiping my tears. Dressed in a bridal white gown, I was waiting in the dressing room, for my father. “Vicky is still not talking to me. She is not believing me. Aiden and Edmund are no longer listening. What to do?” Till yesterday, Vicky kept convincing me to run away. She was ready to help me financially. “I will settle you somewhere good. I will give you so much money, Elara that you would never need to work in your life. I swear it will be a luxurious life. Just say no to this wedding, Elara.” Vicky wanted to hold my feet while crying when I took a step back. “Vicky. No!” “What will you get out of this? He will never love you. He will never think of you with respect.” With a swollen face, Vicky sobbed brokenly, “You might have difficulty falling pregnant. These industrialists are usually interested in reproducing an heir. Love is not for them. There is still time.” But no. I couldn’t do it to my f

Aiden Lockwood scanned the menu card slowly, but Elara’s face kept popping up in his head. This time she didn’t get bitter when she saw him with Vicky. She even smiled and showed him a thumbs-up sign. He was glad that at least she decided to trust him. “What should we order, Mr. Jack?” Vicky asked the customer while sipping her wine, “You must be hungry.” She said a little meaningfully. Yes. It was supposed to be an official dinner, but she made Elara believe that she was having a private and cozy dinner with Aiden. She placed the glass delicately on the table and snapped her fingers for the waiter, “This AC is not working. Can you please check the thermostat? We have our worthy client with us,” Vicky tried to wave her fingers to fan her face. “Are you alright?” The man whose name was Jack asked her with concern. “Just extra hot tonight. Oh, God.” After giving the order Vicky started chatting with Mr. Jack. Aiden was checking his phone when a message popped up from the dri

(Flashback: Aiden pov) Moving to a new place is always challenging for kids especially if they are in their teens. I moved here along with my grandpa who had been living with me when I lost my parents. The neighborhood looked so gloomy and gray. It all was so boring until I saw her. It was the second day after our move. Peeking out of my window, I found her talking to a guy. Her wavy hair was flowing softly in the breeze and due to being a plus size, the most prominent thing on her body was her ass. And then she turned around laughingly, and I gasped in shock. Though it had started getting dark, all I could see was the most beautiful girl and a boy who was trying so hard to impress her. Her laughter had something that made me smile like a fool. But then… something strange happened. That guy held her face and started kissing her. I didn’t like it. All I wanted to do was punch down that guy and push him away. Leaving the curtain, I stepped away from the window. How dare he? I

(Flashback: Aiden pov) That would be an understatement, If I would say, I was heartbroken. No girl attracted me this much in my life like Elara did. Vicky started visiting me daily on the soccer field. She used to talk about her aspirations, and her goals in life, and the only thing that used to grab my attention was when Elara’s name used to slip off her tongue. However, it used to happen quite rarely. We were becoming friends and I started feeling like she used to like me. Every time I used to look at Elara and every fuc*ing time Noah was glued to her hip. What if Vicky was making things up? What if she was lying about Noah and Elara? Thinking to myself, I decided to give it a shot and go to Elara. I needed to talk to her myself and tell her how I felt for her. Looking for her, I went to the café. The break time was over, and students were already leaving the place in small groups. I spotted them seated in the corner of the café. Elara was feeding him a fry and he was tiltin

Everything will be fine. You just have a bandage around your eyes. You will be able to see once your eyelids start healing.”Grandpa knew what I must be thinking. The doctors checked me and started poking needles in my skin.
