One phone call

The next five weeks are somewhere in between heaven and hell. Damon is everything I never thought I needed in a partner and is proving to me every day that love was never supposed to be that hard. I got to know him better and with that, to like him more. I found out that he loves cats, that he had a turtoise called Speedy when he was a child, that he can’t keep a plant alive. I discovered his sense of humor, his dad jokes, that he secretly wanted to be a dancer when he was younger. But most of all, I discovered how kind, thoughtful and patient he is.

It took me so long to figure out how to commune and all he did was to crack jokes from time to time so I can relax and have a laugh instead of drowning in frustration. He found out I love Tacos so he thought himself how to make them for me. He learned I love Begonias and now there’s a fresh bouquet every morning on the dining table.
