Chapter -4(Run away Rogue)

Milan picked the unconscious girl in his arms as Kilan rushed over to them. “Is she okay?” Kilan asked staring at Rizine's peaceful face.

“I don't know but we have to hurry back to the pack,” Milan told him before looking around to see the battle was still on but Asper was nowhere to be found. Milan looked at Kilan, “Where’s that rogue?”

Kilan shook his head negatively, “He escaped and the Wolfsbane is gone—”

“Which means he stole it,” Milan completed Kilan's sentence.

Kilan sighed dejectedly, “We don't have time to talk about him or sorry about a stolen Wolfsbane. We need to ensure she's okay first.”

Milan agreed with him and they both made their way through the chaos and towards their car. They got into the back seat and headed for the pack.

The twins had felt a strong connection with Rizine when they saw her on the stage which was why they had been so focused on her. They didn't care about her dance or whatever she was doing because they could feel the sadness and reluctance within her.

When the bar had been attacked, they had been preoccupied with the fight and so didn't have them to think about Rizine but they felt fear. Fear from an external force and then they felt someone connected to them was in serious danger and that was how they managed to locate her.

The twins got out of the car quickly with Milan still carrying her in his hands and headed towards the mansion. They entered the mansion and were at the bottom of a large stairs when Kilan said, “I’ll call in the doctor,” With that said, he headed towards the left direction while Milan ran up the stairs and took Rizine to his room.

He could feel her life force slowly epping away which was why they were so frantic. They could feel she was about giving up the fight against death.

The female doctor walked into the room with Kilan and the Alpha who had a very confused expression on his face. “How is she going to be?” Milan and Kilan chorused despite the fact that the doctor hadn't even neared her, and the doctor gave them a stink stare.

“We’re sorry,” Kilan apologized nervously.

”You’ll need to step out,” the Doctor said and the twins agreed without a second thought. She was a Family doctor and had been their doctor for years. She was great at what she did and so they didn't hesitate heeding to her instructions.

“Can someone tell me what is going on?” The Alpha told his sons in irritation, glancing between the worried faces of the both of them. The twins looked at each other and sighed.

“We’re sorry, Dad,” They told their father.

Their father sighed, “So, you didn't get the Wolfsbane,” he stated knowingly.

“Yes, father. We were attacked by some rogues who fled after taking the Wolfsbane,” Kilan said remorsefully, “But I promise we'll make it up to you,” he added immediately but his father just smiled.

“Kilan, Milan, it's okay to fail sometimes. Failure is the greatest teacher and I've told you this before, but what I'm more interested in is that lady you brought in,” he told them, looking between them suspiciously.

The twins looked between each other, not knowing what to say, “Well—” Milan started but was interrupted by a scream from inside.

The Alpha and the twins dashed in to see the doctor standing away from Rizine who had curled herself in a ball and was looking at everyone suspiciously.

“She’s such a handful,” The doctor clicked her tongue, “But she's definitely healthy. I'll take my leave now,” and with that, the doctor left the room.

Rizine looked around her in shock and fear. She had woken up to see the doctor about to inject her with a needle and was scared she was going to poison her on the instructions of Asper, but when she looked around, she had realized she wasn't in the rogue camp, especially not when the twins from the bar and their father ran into the room.

“Hey, are you okay? What's your name?” Milan asked her. She remembered the twins had rescued her from Asper, but she was confused as to why they did and even brought her to their pack especially since they didn't know her.

Or do they know I'm connected to Asper and I helped him steal the Wolfsbane? She wondered in fear, staring at them suspiciously.

“It’s okay, you don't have to be scared,” Kilan assured her. Rizine nodded her head robotically, moving backwards as they got closer to her.

“What happened to you? Why was that rogue trying to kill you?” Kilan started interrogating her, making Milan turn to him in shock and disbelief. The twin's father, Alpha Jared, walked towards Kilan and gave him a knock on his head.

“Dad!” Kilan exclaimed in shock and embarrassment.

Milan laughed, “Serves you right, you robot.”

Rizine chuckled at how silly they were and it was clear they loved each other. “My name is Rizine,” she told them, a smile on her face. Kilan and Milan inched closer to her and began introducing themselves. At first, she was secretive and wary of them, not wanting to reveal too much about herself to them, and not wanting to expose her relationship with Asper before, and as a result of this, she began asking questions instead.

As she was talking, Alpha Jared saw a faint crescent moon shape on her left cheek and he froze in shock and disbelief. He remembered the daughter of the true Alpha of the pack had been kidnapped at a very young age and she had the exact same mark on her cheek. They had sent out people to search for her but to no avail. After years of searching, she was declared dead and now someone with the same mark had appeared.

Could she be the one? Jared wondered.
