Rizine immediately took her words back, “I’m sorry Asper. I meant to say I don't quite understand what you're saying I should do.”
Asper went back to his seat, “You will go to the bar tomorrow as a seductress and distract everyone, giving us the chance to steal the Wolfsbane,” he calmly explained.
Rizine was beyond stunned. She knew he didn't love her or care about her but she had no idea he despised her to such extents. He was asking her to be a seductress and degrade herself. She was beyond horrified at how much he loathed her and disregarded her, but she wouldn't give up.
She calmed herself down and in a low tone, said, “I can't do it Asper. I'm sorry but I'm incapable of being a seductress.”
“You said you wanted a good life. A life free of stress and pain. A life of happiness. A peaceful life,” He paused and looked at her.
She was confused. Why is he bringing this up? “Yes, I did, but what does that have to do with anything we're saying?” She wanted to add 'But it's a far-fetched thought' but she kept it to herself, knowing he'd just flare up again and beat her up.
“I’ll give you a peaceful life. I'll let you go and be whatever and whoever you want to be, and if you still want to stay with us rogues, I'll ensure no one ever messes with you, or tries to look down on you,” he looked her in the eye, “All you have to do is go to the bar as a seductress and pave way for us to steal the Wolfsbane.”
A peaceful life? What a joke. Rizine felt herself getting angry, but she held it. She knew he'd never let her go. He had promised that to her and even if he did try to make sure she wasn't molested, he would probably drop it if the rouges refused. She was the only girl in their pack and yet he claimed he'd let her go.
“I’m sorry Asper, but I don't have the skills needed for it. I'll be found out the moment I step into the bar,” she tried to convince him, her tone filled with pain and remorse.
“You can do it Rizine. I know you can. You've seduced me several times without even trying so what are you talking about?” he chuckled and Rizine decided she had to tell it to him straight since he wasn't getting the memo.
“I don't want to pose as any seductress Asper. I can't do it,” she declared, making him shoot up from his seat in anger. He walked towards her in anger and slapped her across the face, sending her crashing to the floor.
Asper stared at her in disgust, “You think you have a choice? I was just trying to be nice to you and here you are thinking you actually have a choice. You will do it whether you want to or not. I honestly don't give a fuck about your wants and needs.”
Rizine spat out the blood in her mouth and stared at him, her eyes filled with hurt and anger, “But—”
“No buts,” he snapped, “If you don't do it, you'll become the pack's slut. I'll make sure everyone sleeps with you.” Rizine's eyes widened in horror, “They're just molesting you now and haven't fucked you only because they respect me, but look at you acting all goody-two-shoes,” he snickered and walked closer to her, squatting by her side.
“You have such a great body Rizine, and you think I don't know how you flaunt them in the face of every man you come across? You think I don't know how vile and disgusting you are?” He chuckled dangerously, “You’re a slut and you will act as a seductress tomorrow.”
Tears rolled down Rizine's cheeks, “Asper, you know that's not true. Why would you do this to me? What did I do to you?" She cried.
Asper stared at her for a while, “Do it and I'll tell you about your life and your parents,” he told her. He didn't want to force her into it only for her to betray him when they got there and so he decided to use his ace card; her lost memories.
Rizine's head snapped up when she heard his words, “You’ll tell me who I am?” she asked, her voice quivering.
“Yes, I will,” he answered blandly, getting up from the floor.
Tears rolled down Rizine's eyes in torrents. She didn't have her memories when she first came to the rouge camp. Her first memory was Asper and finding he was her mate and she couldn't remember anything else.
She had tried to find out who she was. She had asked people, asked Asper, but since she couldn't go beyond the rogue camp. It was a pointless thing to do, but here Asper was, the one who had on several occasions turned down telling her who she really was despite claiming to know.
According to him, it was better if she didn't know who she was than if she did, and she had used that to stop herself from finding out her true identity but deep down, she wanted to know who she really was, who her parents were and who they were. She wanted to know if they were like Asper or the complete opposite.
“You’ll really reveal my identity to me?” she asked and he nodded in annoyance, obviously by her constantly spacing out.
“I already told you I will. Now, will you be the seductress tomorrow?” he asked, annoyed at the fact that he was taking her permission.
Rizine felt her mouth become heavy. She was so scared of what could happen to her but she had to find out who she was. Perhaps with information on who she really was and who her parents were, she could escape the confines of the rouge camp.
“Yes, I will.”
CHAPTER 3“Kilan, hurry up, what's taking so long? We don't want to be late for the exchange, you know,” A guy leaning against the car yelled, staring at an open door to a huge mansion.“Keep it down bro, I'm on my way,” another voice called and after a while, Kilan, the exact replica of the man leaning against the car, rushed out.“What took you so long?” the man asked.“Loosen up a bit Milan. We're not going to war. We're just going to get the Wolfsbane from the Moon shadow pack,” Kilan pointed out.Milan rolled his eyes, “Oh, wow! I really didn't realize that. Come on let's go,” They were about getting in the back seat when a voice boomed.“Sons, wait,” The voice of their father boomed and a man with slightly similar features to theirs walked towards them.“Alpha,” The twins bowed respectfully, making their father howl in laughter.“I already told you not to call me that. I'm your father not your Alpha,” He told them.Milan glanced at his watch, “At this rate, we're going to be lat
Milan picked the unconscious girl in his arms as Kilan rushed over to them. “Is she okay?” Kilan asked staring at Rizine's peaceful face.“I don't know but we have to hurry back to the pack,” Milan told him before looking around to see the battle was still on but Asper was nowhere to be found. Milan looked at Kilan, “Where’s that rogue?”Kilan shook his head negatively, “He escaped and the Wolfsbane is gone—”“Which means he stole it,” Milan completed Kilan's sentence.Kilan sighed dejectedly, “We don't have time to talk about him or sorry about a stolen Wolfsbane. We need to ensure she's okay first.”Milan agreed with him and they both made their way through the chaos and towards their car. They got into the back seat and headed for the pack. The twins had felt a strong connection with Rizine when they saw her on the stage which was why they had been so focused on her. They didn't care about her dance or whatever she was doing because they could feel the sadness and reluctance within
“I’m Milan and this is my stiff, twin brother, Kilan,” Milan introduced himself and his brother.Kilan glared at his brother before turning to Rizine with a sweet smile, “Ignore him, he doesn't know what he's saying.”Milan scoffed, “What are you talking about? You clearly showed it when you began interrogating a lady who hasn't fully recovered from what happened to her.”“Sorry about that,” Kilan apologized nervously.“It’s okay, really,” she chuckled.“Why were you there at the bar?” Milan asked.Kilan snapped his head in his direction, “Now you're the one who's interrogating her,” He muttered triumphantly, making Milan look at him like he had run mad.“I’m getting to know her, your cyborg,” Milan told him.Rizine chuckled. Their relationship was truly beautiful and now she wished she had a twin or even a sibling. Someone she could fight with, play with, share all of her sorrows and worries with, but she didn't even know who she really was, talkless of something like that.“So, why
Alpha Jared stepped out of the house and headed to the royal garage to get one of his cars. He couldn't wait any longer. He had to find out who the girl was. He had to know if his gut feeling was right. She had the mark on her right cheek. That was enough reason to have him unnerved, and he was not gonna relax until he finds out if she was really the lost daughter of the True bloodline pack. Over the years, he'd done nothing but try to find out clues about the missing daughter of the true bloodline pack. Her disappearance had been an impossible feat for her parents back when they were still alive. They looked everywhere and did all they could do. But there was no sign of her. It's like – she never existed.“Your Majesty,“ The royal chauffeur bowed at him, ready to be at service to him. But the Alpha snatched the car keys away from him, “Don't worry, Mike. You don't have to come with me. I wanna go alone,““But–” Mike, the royal chauffeur, tried protesting. It didn't feel right to le
There was an icy silence in the room and it went on for minutes. Rizine curled up in fear and stared at the twins in horror. Her lips quivered and her hands trembled, she had to ball them into a fist to try to keep them steady.Their sudden coldness had her thrown off balance. Just a few minutes ago, she'd thought they were the warmest twins she'd ever come across. And now, this? They were suddenly giving off sinister vibes? How could they switch so quickly?“Yes, or no, Rizine?“ Milan repeated sternly. It was hard to maintain a poker face but he did. As much as he hated to scare her like this, they had to do whatever to compel her into staying with them. Just until they figure out what it was that had them drawn to her.“What– but I – “ Rizine couldn't make out any coherent words. But the words laid on the tip of her tongue. She wasn't a dancer, what she did back there at the club was just putting up a front. Her dance skills were mundane. Just a few basic steps she picked up from t
Kilan was the first to speak, and he was barely audible, “What happened here?“ He asked, tears garnering up in his hazel eyes. It was the first hazel eyes Rizine ever came across, and it was alluring and held a dose of warmth a few minutes ago in their palace. Right now, all his eyes held were tears and unanswered questions. She was trembling and she hated it. And one swipe of her gaze over her appearance, she thought she looked like the culprit. Her hands were covered in blood, she was shaking in fear, she couldn't say a single word in her defense, and just let them judge her with their eyes. She looked guilty, even when she wasn't.It was unfair to her the way they were reacting right now. How could they not let her speak first before tagging her as the murderer? Even without them saying it, she could see it in their eyes. And it only made her lack the coordination to speak up for herself.“What did you do?!“ This time, it was Milan's glacial voice sending shudders down her spine. S
Three days after the twin Alphas' Father's death, the boys were summoned to the meeting room by the elders of the pack. There were still some unresolved matters and they had to get to it. It was midday, and the elders had been waiting for hours, but the boys were yet to show up.“What's taking them so long?“ One of the elders murmured, checking his wristwatch. It was already past midday. They've been seated here since 9 in the morning. Surely, the twins were trying to prove how impertinent they were.Damon noticed the growing uproar in the meeting room and ran off to go get the twins again. He got to Milan's bedroom and knocked impatiently. He was pissed. This has to be the tenth time he came to call them for the meeting. They were being blatantly rude, and it was to his fucking detriment.“You know it's open, Damon,“ It was Kilan's voice, drawn in a tired tone. It wasn't a surprise that he was in his twin brother's room. Their delay to the meeting was a conspiracy between both of
The twins watched her from the upper balcony where they sat with the higher elders of the pack. It was the red full moon night. The moon was already up in the middle of the sky, sending red gleams down to the earth.Milan, with his fist clenched, watched the warrior approach Rizine with a stick that held fire. It didn't bother him a bit. She had to die. But then, his wolf was restless, pacing back and forth in the back of his mind.'What is it?' Milan asked his wolf, sharply. His wolf's name was Reed. He was the most ferocious beast in the werewolf kingdom.'I feel her close,' His wolf growled inside of him, shifting close to the wall of his mind and brushing his fur against it.'Feel who?' Milan asked curtly, 'Mate!!' His wolf howled through him, scaring and bringing everyone to a halt with his thunderous howl. Milan jerked, holding down his wolf from breaking free. It took him a few seconds to realize it wasn't just his wolf that howled.Kilan's wolf had done the same too. They ex
