10 years later...

Judith Slaying Holofernes is a painting by the Italian early Baroque artist Artemisia Gentileschi, the canvas shows Judith beheading Holofernes.

The painting shows the moment when Judith, helped by her maidservant Abra, beheads the general after he has fallen asleep in a drunken stupor.

I wouldn't like to do such kind of act since I like playing the victim as if I am beheaded. It already happened in the past, on the guillotine, my head was offered.

Judith, who uses her beauty and charm to destroy an Assyrian general and save Israel from oppression. Thinking about it, seduction was her best way of taking revenge to that asshole.

"Your Highness."

I slightly turn my head on my back seeing Duke Richmond walking closely towards my direction.

"I see, you've quite taken a like with that painting your Highness," he said while looking at the wall sized painting.

I chuckled. "You know my type Duke."

"Bloodshed of course," he answered.

He led me inside the centre hall of the museum where different statues and bones are to be seen.

"You've got to see these statues, this is made by Rochendra Filma using a diamond and a sapphire."

The statue of a blue Dragon, how much would it cost if I would have to ask him, selling this statue.

"Don't give me that look your Highness, I don't plan on selling my collections."

I rolled my eyes before walking straight to the bones, are these real?

"That's a pity Duke," I whispered while touching the bones, it seems like its true.

"You've got to send me this head of a Dragon." I showed him the dragon skull making his face pale.

"You got a wrong idea your Highness, that's not a good gift for a beauty like you," he said walking closely to me but I stepped back and hugged the skull.

"Give me this, I'll pay you double of its normal price." I showed him my two fingers but he shook his head repeatedly.

"Your Highness, I'll give you the statue how about that?" he asked while pointing the statue of the Dragon made from diamond and sapphire.

"You're sacrificing your statue because of this? So is this really a bone of a true dragon?" I asked curiously.

"No your Highness, t-that's fake so don't choose it."

I stared at him firmly before I shook my head. "No, I want this. You said you will give me anything I want right?"

His face turned pale, much more than earlier.

"That's not what I mean your Highness," he said trying to catch me but I kept my distance from him.

"Old man, you gotta give me this and I'll pay you. You're already old, you need to take care of yourself instead of this skull."

"No your Highness, I am still healthy and I'm living with my life freely. Now give me that skull your Highness," he says with his tone full of beg.

I shook my head. "I want this."

We both stared with each other before he tried to catch me but I was faster than him, this old man doesn't know how to surrender.

He slapped his forehead before he sighed. "Okay your Highness, that's yours. Just don't step on my glass because they are made from gold, please be careful." He surrendered when I was about to jump on the golden glass.

I smirked and raised the skull. "Treasure acquired," I whispered.

"So you mean that Hades wanted to buy your museum?" I asked while sipping the tea.

He nodded before he showed me the document of authorization. It is said that Hades Sylvestre wants to trade the museum for one hundred million gold bars.

It's a double price from a normal cost of all the treasures inside the Museum of Duke Richmond.

"It's an obvious act Duke, he wants to double pay the Museum because he will sell all the treasures inside for triple price. Since the treasures are original, it is not illegal for him to sell all those especially when he knows how to add and lessen the advantage and disadvantage," I said and flipped the page to the third one.

My eyebrows furrowed. Another one hundred million gold bars in exchange of the treasure.

What is this? The museum and the treasures have different payment?

"What's your best treasure among all you have inside the museum?" I asked.

"The Tiara of Goddess Hera," he answered making me flinched.

I bit my nails while looking at the documents, this is really unbelievable. Why would he need to go that far to pay just for a tiara.

"I think it's for your engagement your Highness," he said.

I gave him a bored look before I flipped the last page. It is said that in exchange of the treasure inside the museum, Duke Richmond will still be acknowledged as the owner of the museum.

I massaged my temple before giving him back the documents.

"Don't sell it to him, you gotta deny the offer and see if he's really into buying the Tiara. You need to force him to show his intention hidden on that one hundred million gold bars," I said before sipping the remaining tea on the teacup.

"What if he's into paying a large amount for the tiara?" he asked.

I turned my head on the side where I can see the fountain and the maze garden, we are in the balcony of the Imperial Palace. Hades wasn't present because he had to attend a trip together with Phoenix, his third brother.

"Then give it to him, triple the price as much as you want because I already have a plan with that," I answered.

"Will you really be fine?" he asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, it's all part of my plan." I just need to lessen his wariness and get closer to him so that I can easily poison him.

The closer I get, the more my plan will succeed.

Duke Richmond already left and told me that he needs to attend a banquet with his comrade. He was this old man who keeps bragging about me that he's interested in me as his own child, he sense that I am the calamity that will bring the hell in the Empire.

I'm not an evil witch that would plan to do that, I like to do it neatly with bloodsheds. Killing for a better result, that's right. I need to place my humanity in a right place, a right place with no disadvantage.

I rest my chin on my palm feeling the fresh breeze from the wind. My long platinum was whizzing when the wind started to accompany me.

Ten years already had passed. In the past ten years, I've been focused on acting lowly while preparing all my plans. It wasn't that hard since I focused myself on etiques, studies, and training to be an Empress.

"Fara," I called.

She stepped forward before giving me bow. "Yes your Highness?"

"How's Trevor with Sir Ocea?" I asked.

"They're fine your Highness,"she answered.

I didn't visit Trevor for a month because of how busy I am, I know he might be feeling alone without me but I guess Sir Ocea already filled the empty spot of his loneliness.

That child seems to be very careful of showing his feelings unlike in the past. It's for the better since I can now control him.

"I'd like to have a free time tomorrow Fara, I will try to visit Trevor." I gave her the folded paper.

"Pass this to Duchess Xerafia, I would like to have a tea with her by tomorrow morning," I ordered.

"How about the free time your Highness?" she asked.

"It's just a morning tea, the rest of my time would be enough for the travel to Viadel," I answered.

I heard a loud noise from the gate, seeing an elegant carriage suddenly entered. There were knights marching before the carriage, is that a royalty from the other kingdom?

"Is that the Emperor's guest?" I asked.

"I haven't heard such news that the Emperor is expecting for a guest your Highness," Fara answered.

My eyebrows furrowed while my eyes remained on the carriage. The knights opened the gate before the carriage entered and stopped in front of the fountain.

I was about to sipped the tea on my teacup when I found that it's already empty.

"Fara, give me another tea please."

She took the empty cup before leaving me alone in the balcony.

I went back on the carriage's direction and stunned when I saw the man with his heavy white coat looking straight on my direction.

He was taller than the carriage and his masculine body were fair enough of his appearance to be called as a gorgeous man.

He waved at my direction making me avoid my eyes with panic. Did he just wave at me? After 10 years of not seeing each other and now he's waving at me?

I tried to look back but I he was already gone. I took a deep breath before pressing my chest, that aura was totally penetrating even when I am far away from him.

I was massaging my temple when I saw a tray of teacup offered in front of me.

"Thank you Fara," I said and sipped the tea.

"Your welcome, my lady."

I can already see myself stunned with my eyes widened looking at him with surprise.

He sat down on the chair in front of me before he rest his chin on his palm, he looks comfortable while his eyes are playfully looking at me.

"Hey, my future wife."

It was like my body was being petrified while the electricity are travelling inside my body especially my heart.

m-my future w-wife?

I remained unfazed when I put the cup on the table even if I can already hear my heart shouting his name as if he is a God that I need to worship.

"You're back your Highness," I said calmly.

How can he be so attractive with that posture?

He chuckled sexily before licking his lower lip. "Yes, I am back Talia."

I burst an awkward laugh. Why am I even laughing? It's just that I don't know what sort of reaction I should give to him.

"That's good." Stupid Talia, what kind of answer is that?

"So do you mind telling me if I'm still your partner breaking that word called 'adultery'?" he asked.

I coughed before I shook my head. "No, I mean yes. Well, if you want to—"

"I want to do it with you Talia, I want it very bad."

I zipper my mouth and lowered my head, I can already feel the heat puffing on my cheeks.

Dumbass, I've waiting for too long.

"Your Highness, you never fail to disappoint me with your beauty. Day by day you're becoming a goddess, do you mind giving me a tip?" Duchess Xerafia rolled her eyes when her sister, Xamara Gregor said it. I chuckled. "You don't have to compliment me that much Duchess, we all have our own beauty and yours is quite a beauty of a tulips." "Look at her sister, such a humble lady. I didn't expect you to visit my sister," she said before she called the servant to prepare the eggpies. "And here you are, entertaining my guest instead of taking care of your daughter." Duchess Xiafara opened her hand fan while glaring at her sister. Both of them are really opposite with each other. I first met Duchess Xiafara in Viadel, she was lost that time and I helped her. That was the time when I realized that she is from the manor of Estrella and the sister of Duchess Xamara Gregor, the wife of Duke Frederic Gregor. The Gregor owned the go

"Your Highness?" Sir Ocea put the box he was carrying on the ground before walking closely to us. His eyes moved on Pursues direction who was comfortably giving him a smile while carrying the basket. His eyes shows a question of 'Why is he here?' and I shrug before avoiding my eyes from him. Sorry Sir Idea, but I can't answer your question. "So this is Viadel, what sort of business do you have in here Talia?" Pursues asked while roaming his eyes around the place. "That's... I have my brother living here," I answered. "Brother?" He looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed. "Yes, your Highness. I'm just going to visit him," I answered. I walked pass before him and tapped Sir Ocea's left shoulder. I can't believe I'm having a hard time with Pursues accompanying me. It's just that Trevor might get anxious or think of something bad when he sees Pursues with me. I o

"Your Highness please get up, you have to get ready for the banquet." I opened my eyes and frowned when I realized that I have to attend a banquet today, the worst is that I'm going to attend with Hades as my partner. I haven't had enough sleep because of last night. I giggled in irritation with the thought of attending a banquet with the guy who just sent those men to kill me. I don't know what he's planning inside his mind but I guess it is connected with the banquet today. "Last night, did you caught that man who shoot me with the arrow?" I asked. I sat on the chair in front of the mirror and she started to comb my hair. She shook her head before giving me a black box. "He dropped that your Highness." When I opened the box, a necklace with a dagger was inside. I gritted my teeth before I plastered an annoying smile, he's really desperate. "Phoenix..." I uttered the name of

Third Person's pov."Your Highness—"The loud sound from the broken glass echoed in the corner of the dark room. Hades was cussing inside his head while trying to calm himself in the middle of his anger."Where's that bastard?" he asked firmly."Who, your Highness?" the Butler asked.Hades slammed the table before glaring at the Butler's direction who was looking down, unable to see the appearance of Hades."Phoenix, where is he?" he asked before closing his eyes firmly. The anger he felt cannot be compared on how Talia created an image of a victorious woman when she whispered those words. He was sure that Phoenix can do a better job especially when it's from him, unless Phoenix is a traitor and wanted to sabotage him."The third Prince is nowhere to be seen in the Palace your Highness, I already checked—""Fuck! Talia's Pov. I swallowed hard before stretching my fingers to ease the tension I am feeling inside. I coughed and pressed my chest to stop myself from panicking. There was a long way for me to succeed and this is the battle where I can use my power as the Crown Princess. I need to gamble my advantage and lessen my disadvantage inside the door after this, the aristocrats meeting will be happened. Aristocrats meeting where the table is the one controlling each of every seat of the highest to the lowest nobility. When I felt that I'm already set, I formed a bright smile on my lips before opening the door. The loud chatters from the nobles echoed the whole room, such a stupid sight. My eyes landed on my father who was waving his hand, I waved back and smiled sincerely. The nobles started to lower their chatters when they felt my presence until

Betrayal is the most painful knife that could stab your heart for a million of times. It is the most painful weapon that I am afraid of. That feeling of breaking, in tears, and dying because of being betrayed. You will never have the chance to see the reason why you were betrayed because of how painful it is. Especially when it's the person you trusted the most and yet... That person betrayed you. I flipped the last page of the magazine before I raised my head on the person who just entered. "Greetings your Highness," he greeted before he slightly bowed. I offered him a seat before I closed the magazine and gave him a bright smile. "It's been a while Duke Richmond," I said. "You've been busy for how many weeks your Highness, how's your plan?" he asked before sipping the tea I've prepared for him. "Actually, the reason why I called because I wanted to

Fara raised the umbrella on the sun's direction to avoid myself from getting hit by the sun's light. We walked through the path where the noble ladies are having a tea party. Hades invited these ladies for me to have a good time before the engagement party, but how can I have a good time? They're all stupid.I fanned myself while walking elegantly, wearing a fierce look while looking straight to the ladies creating a loud chatters at the garden."Can you feel my body blazing annoyingly?" I asked."No your Highness, you're much more beautiful than them," she answered.I rolled my eyes with what she answered. I know that I'm beautiful but her answer was different from what I asked. When we arrived at the garden, I coughed in silent before I plastered a warm smile."Good morning ladies," I greeted. All of their heads turn in my direction and immediately stood up before they b

I took a deep breath before getting the pen and the paper on my bag. I opened the 13th page and started writing.“Spring has come but I feel like Iʼm a naked body standing outside the winter. Shivering and being devoured by the cold. All those days of plague and pain has overwhelmed me and turned my life into mayhem. Little by little I am swallowed by the devastating world and hollowed by afflictions and self-doubt.Those floral days are over, paradise fled away and transmigrated into a dire world filled with pure melancholy.”Upon writing those words I crumpled the paper and throwed it. I dropped my pen for I donʼt know what to write anymore. When I turn my gaze outside the window, the sunset was creating a light to the path of freedom.I smiled with warmth painted on my face. As I started to write another letter for the next 14th page.Dear Unknown,

The sky wears a mix color of black and gray. I cast about some luscious voice but heard the whisper of the cold wind that will likely bring downpour and thunder.Later I witnessed the cloudburst of little white flowers so as all the grievance and mourning that spreads sorrow to the entire atmosphere.I literally donʼt understand the unforseen happenings but wished for all of them to quit whining. Seconds had passed, I saw myself somewhere deep in a cold stratum. I didnʼt realize that darkness offered tranquility in this overwhelming situation. It goes like this all the time, I miss everything that I had back then such as the chirping of the little birds that creates a soothing melody. Ocean waves rage and banged through the sea rocks. Itʼs been too long since Iʼve seen the dawn so as the sun that peeks through the mountain and greets a good morning. I havenʼt seen the stars and the moon and couldnʼt grasp a chance to acquaint them all my lamentations and

Talia's pov.Mind of mine was in its peaceful state, caught up with the silence of the whole room. Lately, I've been grasping the scent of old books I've always read in the past. I missed the old times, the scent of books and painted calligraphy so as discerning the dust particles in the air from the old bookshelves. While I am sipping the tea from my teacup, I was reminiscing the old good times when I was still at my teenage years. I was the lady who chose to stay silent and lived a life without getting involved into any tensions."Rumors that the nobles failed to pass their request about abolishing your crown. That's why the Sylvestrian people are creating a ruckus outside the Imperial Palace to surrender the imperial seal," Declan said.I hummed and put the teacup on the table. Third person's pov.The clock hits midnight and its sound was echoing throughout the tranquility of the night. The storm was on a rage outside while the nobles and governed officials were silently aligned inside the inner court of the Imperial Palace. They commence a meeting in order for them to propose their assumptions and as usual, they are taking advantage of the Crown Princess's rumored critical condition."Allow us to speak for our nation, your Majesty."Despite the ruckus inside the Imperial Palace, the Emperor was able to attend the meeting. It is their chance to abolish the Crown Princess from her position.Hades on the other hand was taking his nap on his palm while observing them."You may speak," the Emperor said.Duke Seleste was the first in line as the representative of the nobles's table. Arcaine already left while Trevor remained. We stayed silent for a couple of minutes, or maybe, nobody wants to talk. I wanted to ask him about what happened to him when I was gone, but I couldn't open my mouth. I was reluctant to ask, nor give him a look without hesitation. He seems not to bother with the cold...winter is already coming. "It's unfair..." I glanced at him and our eyes suddenly met. Tears were on his eyes while wearing a smile on his lips. "Why do you always hurt me?" he asked. "What am I supposed to do in order for you to not hurt me?" "I wish for your happiness more than anyone else," he whispered. My mind went blank and I found myself giving him a cold look. Did something happened while I was gone? Or maybe...something changed. The only problem is that boy...Trevor.""He's a man," I hissed and rest my chin on my palm. "What about him?" I asked."There's something wrong about him. Not only the color of his soul, but his actions are too repulsive. He's crazy over you," he said.I chuckled while looking straight to the pen I am fidgeting on my fingers. "Why? Did he kill some knights while trying to find me?"His eyebrows furrowed before he shook his head. He took the vacant chair and placed it in front of me. He sat on the chair and crossed his legs, manly."I've never seen a soul like yours and him. It's difficult to explain in words, but I can say that it's filled with darkness. However, there is a difference between yours and him."He place the empty glass on the table. "That glass is you, your soul is l
