"Good morning Luna," a maid walked up to me with a smile and a curt bow. The whole idea of calling me by a title I didn't work for was still very unsettling to me, but I decided against cutting her off.

"Oh good morning," I replied, mirroring her smile.

"You haven't had breakfast all morning and it's almost noon," her eyes were turned to her feet as she spoke to me, making it more unsettling that they think so highly of me. I was once a maid too, and the deference they showed me still felt unnatural.

"Oh, I got too distracted by the gift opening," I laughed nervously, trying to brush off the awkwardness.

Before making a decision on whether to stay where I was or to leave with the maid and finally eat, I looked over at Adrianna, who stood quietly as she picked some flowers.

Rockan had left me with her outside a few minutes ago, and I couldn't really bring myself to have a proper conversation with her. There was still an air of uncertainty and unfamiliarity between us.
