Kate’s POV

No one was in the house when I arrived. The first thing I did was let out a loud sigh of relief. Driving back home had been a mental task. I tried not to overthink my reaction. Lois had sided with Karen insisting I return home and stop running from every problem I encounter.

After sitting for a long time in the room yielding nothing but lazy fat. Running in the woods seemed like the best option. My wolf howled in excitement as soon as she felt the grass. Trying not to think about anything, I ran as fast as my legs could carry letting the evening air calm me. Thoughts of the day returned for me to rummage on.
